JW’s Salon On 6th

Don’t go here if you want to get a color job. All of my color –and I mean ALL of it– washed out in a few weeks. I have colored my own hair from a box and it stayed that color for at least a few months. Just no excuse for this at all. I also had to go back in after a few days initially because he wasn’t very thorough. And then he didn’t show up at the time that we scheduled. I mean, seriously.
It also wasn’t the shade of color that I wanted even though I showed him a pic of what I wanted.
Super unhappy with my experience here. And with the lack of professionalism shown.

I just recently moved to Denver and was in dire need of a GOOD (read: excellent) haircut, someone who can cut & blow dry/​style my hair as good as my stylist back home in Michigan. (I’m sort of a perfectionist). JW nailed it & made me look like a Victoria’s Secret model for our NYE party last night.
The best parts of the experience was that this awesome haircut/​blowout I got was at a super reasonable price & all with fabulous kind/​caring company. JW was attentive to my needs and listened to how I wanted my hair to look & executed perfectly.
The salon is adorable. An intimate setting with only 4 stylist gives it a cozy/​friendly feel. They use a line of all natural products that I loved, I think the brand was called Seven, out of Seattle.
Another bonus was when I discovered JW spends his weekend giving free haircuts to the people at local homeless shelters. Needless to say, I found a winner, this will now be my new regular spot!
Highly recommend to all who are particular about maintaining beautiful hair & supporting local businesses who give back to the community.

Cordial, friendly, funny, lenient, and enjoyable. Is how I would describe JW’s. Came across him on Groupon and figured I’d give him a try. And have been seeing him for all cuts and colors for the last year! He always honors the honesty policy when it comes to prices, he’s flexible in scheduling, and so intuitive as far as what cut and color may look good on me personally. I’ve been to countless salons that are dirty or the staff is boring or they don’t listen to my wants or they overcharge or are unprofessional or pushy on products. And JW is none of this. He’s a rare gem. And on top of that, I get so many compliments on whatever cut and color I get because all have looked good (saying this in the most humble way)…

Yesterday, trying to get rid of some dead ends, I cut my own hair for the first time. Was a horrible mistake (of course) and I called a couple places to see if anyone could help on short notice. JW kept their doors open for me, after hours, to fix my mistake that same day. I walked in with a choppy, kitchen scissors mess and walked out with a beautiful, professional cut. I look 1000% better and can’t tell at all that I’d previously f’ed up. To top it all off, JW’s is a gorgeous little studio, with the most awesome, friendly staff. They gave me an amazing deal (when they didn’t have to — I was ready to pay for fixing my mistake) and earned a client for life. I will be back, again and again. Can’t recommend this place enough!
