Little’s Wine & Liquor

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet! This is one of our neighborhood shops and one of my regular stops. Cassie really takes care of us — I feel like she is our personal wine consultant. She knows our favorites and always tries to push us out of our comfort zone. Friday night tastings are a regular stop for us — we look forward to trying new wines.
While I’m not a beer drinker, my husband is — their beer cave has a great selection.
So glad to have Little’s as my neighborhood wine shop!

Check out the beer cave here, its top notch. They also have free beer and wine tastings every week which are fun ways to find a new drink to take home. The employees are also very knowledgeable and can help you find your new favorite beer.

I wandered into this place five years ago when I lived by DU, and I still try to stop in as much as I can now that I’ve moved to Cap Hill. Sure, it’s nice living within walking distance of a certain big-​name store, but they do not have the atmosphere and customer service that this place does. I’ve spent tons of time talking to John, who is an awesome dude, and getting great beer recommendations. The beer cave is awesome, and they have an excellent selection, even with such a small store. Even though I don’t get to go there as much these days, it will still always be my favorite spot in town. Highly recommended for beer geeks like me.

I found Little’s while searching New Planet Beer’s website for liquor stores in my neighborhood that carried NPB’s Belgian Ale. I’m absolutely astonished by Little’s Wine & Liquor — it’s quite possibly the nicest liquor store I’ve been to! They have an excellent selection of gluten free beers at competitive prices, and if you go on Saturdays, there’s a 10% discount off your entire purchase between 10am and 3pm. Congratulations Little’s, you’ve now become my liquor store of choice!

Smaller shop, but they have managed to serve up the best of the best. I spend 20 minutes in the beer cave, always something new and rare. It’s heaven for me. The staff is honest and friendly. They give the dog milk bones, attention and love. I used to go to the bigger LQ down the street (and closer to home) but had a bad experience. So now I go a little further and get a lot more. Plus, tastings on Friday and Saturday. Who could go wrong?

Amazing Beer selection! Worth the drive even if you live downtown. I was blown away by the back room.

Three words: walk-​in beer cooler.
This little (pun intended) LQ is awesome for the DU student crowd or those who just happen to be in the neighborhood. The parking lot is tiny but with lots of personality — just like the store itself.
Real nice guys working here — high high marks for knowledge, helpfulness and courtesy. I never would have ventured into the walk-​in beer cooler had they not told me to do so!
The beer selection is off the hook! If you want something new, special or just delicious head over here and they’ll take care of you. I was so excited about the selection I didn’t even bother to care about prices. If I had to guess I’d say it’s mid range but you get excellent customer service too!
Of course, there is a certain amount of wine and booze but they do not have grapefruit juice. No matter, just worth mentioning. Either way, this is an excellent business that I hope continues to do well.

Solid. This is the best beer store I’ve been to in the Denver area to date. Wonderful chilled selection and a friendly employee who really seemed to enjoy his job. Go into the cooler; there’s a mini beer cave in their full of further chilled, tasty barley offerings. I was impressed with the prices as well. Many smaller shops tend to jack these up, but everything I saw was reasonably priced, and none of that «oh this is really special so let’s charge a lot more than reasonable» for subpar or soso beers as well. Little’s appears to be a serious player in the beer service via liquor store route. I even had some questions about some hard to get beers I was searching out and the employee offered to research it and contact me. Outstanding service. Good prices. Go now. Buy beer.

Beer cave that you will wish was your fridge. A little expensive, but incredible selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Goofy and informative employees as well.

Just stumbled into this gem. The cram a lot of diverse beer into a small shop. Stumped? Their staff is very good at recommending a beer for you if you’re paralyzed by the choices (which is understandable). They not only have six packs and 22oz bottles, but 12 packs of microbrew!
They’ve also got a walk-​in fridge with an expanded beer selection. What isn’t to like? I guess it’s a little cold, but it’s a fridge.
I have no idea about their wine and liquor beyond the fact that they carry them.
Yes, Morgan’s is bigger and has a larger parking lot, but it’s worth it check this place out some time.

These guys have every beer you could ever want! I have a soft spot for my native Nor Cal breweries and they stock most if not all– bomber or 6 pack. It will be interesting to see if the wine stock measures up. Oh and for you DU kids, its open a half hour later than Morgan’s.

The standard has been set by the staff at Little’s. They are so very helpful and knowledgeable about what they sell. Hard to buy beer and wine anywhere else.

Wine tasting, polite staff, good selection for such a small shop… and amazing recommendations. I’m usually pretty timid about asking for what kind of beer or wine I should get for certain situations but everybody I’ve talked to there has made the best recommendations I could have hoped for.
Whenever I want something new, I go here to find it.

This is my neighborhood beer store, and like the other reviewers, I can’t say enough good things about this place. They have a great selection for such a tiny place, and they’re always willing to talk shop with you about beer and wine. Often, I’ll just run in looking for a quick 6-​pack, and end up spending a half hour chatting about beer.

I just dropped in there again this afternoon and the owner casually spent about 25 minutes talking to me about all the various beers that they sell and gave me a tasting of a wonderful German doppelbock. By the time I left I had a hard-​to-​find Dogfish Head 120-​minute IPA plus an awesome Belgian beer I would have never otherwise known about.
He was telling me how he wanted to rip out more domestic beer to make room in the freezer for Belgians, so it may soon be most awesome liquor store per-​square-​foot for beer lovers. If you are a fan of beer or wine you should definitely check this place out. And the other thing I was impressed by you can make special requests and they keep some stuff hidden in the cooler that there isn’t room for out front. So if you don’t see it ask.
And he told me that they have beer and wine tastings on Wednesdays and Fridays, and you can sign up for a mailing list to get notifications about what they’re doing each week.
I’m a huge fan of this place.
