Hotrodz parking enforcement provides an A+ service. I parked here early Saturday morning knowing it wasn’t allowed but since the lot was empty and I was just going to grab donuts and take off, I rolled the dice. Within 8 minutes my car was booted, an unprecedented response time for a parking enforcement agency. Patrick pulled up in a beautiful truck painted with really cool flames on the side and a shocking yet hysterical«F*$% Your Face» decal. The windows were down all the way so I was able to smell the aroma masterfully concocted by Patrick through a light blend of leftover Taco Bell and hours and hours of Patrick’s prairie-dogging. This unpleasant stench assured me that I was dealing with a legit parking enforcement agency and wasn’t being scammed by some random person, a thoughtful and comforting touch. Patrick told me I owed him $ 100 cash on the spot, and was nice enough to point out every nearby ATM so getting the money was no problem. I came back and paid to get the boot off and while I was a little frustrated, I saw that Patrick’s dash was covered in pictures of his girlfriend and realized that I was dealing with the least shallow person in the whole world. I hold people who choose companions who look like Susan Boyle right up there with veterans, so I wished him a good day and drove off. If you are a company looking to stick it to everyone who ruthlessly parks in your empty parking lot, look no further. As long as Patrick remains with Hotrodz, they’ll get the job done. 10⁄10 would park there again.

Same thing happened to me last weekend. Drove a young friend of ours visiting from MD, and she begged to stop at Voodoo Donuts. I’d never been there either, so I circled the block looking for parking. I parked in the lot behind it, thinking that would be fine. I saw the signs saying parking for this business only, and not knowing what business it was, I assumed it was the BUILDING. Walked w/3 kids to the donut shop and saw the sign saying«YOUWILLBETOWED,» so I sent my young adult son back w/the keys(I have arthritis and can’t walk fast). He went back IMMEDIATELY to find our car booted already. $ 100. cash or they’d tow it. The guy was EXTREMELY rude. Told me to go to the dispensary or the liquor store for cash. I don’t frequent EITHER business, but was forced to do so, walking on ice across the street to said shops. When I got back w/the cash, I explained again that we came back out immediately when we saw we could not park there, but the guy wouldn’t hear it. He just said rudely, «Well, you know not to park here now, don’t you!» What a great welcome to our visitor from out of state! She told my daughter later, «I didn’t know Denver was such a horrible city,» after seeing all the trash, obviously struggling homeless people, and general debris all over. It IS a horrible city. I am ashamed to live near it, and honestly, we won’t bother going in anymore. We’ll head north to Cheyenne with guests from now on, and head to the mountains for fun.

Agree. The company LRXD contracted with for booting vehicles is violating Denver Ordinance chapter 55 article X. I have filed a complaint with the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses and urge you to do the same. If you receive more than one fee in 24 hours, a fee more than $ 100, if the boot damages your car, or if they do not furnish their license upon request, or many other items, they are violating code. LRXD: why don’t you do a service to the community and register your lot and charge to park instead of enabling this extortion scheme. If you want to monetize your parking lot asset, do it in a way that benefits everyone.

This same thing Happened to my girlfriend and I, stopped in to buy a donut, less than 5 minutes out and we had a boot on our car. This punk just stepped out of his truck, said 100 $ to take the boot off. Luckily for him my 8 month pregnant girlfriend was there to stop me once I engaged in a little heated conversation with this disrespectful little ****. I called the number before I handed over $ 100, and the guy who picked was a complete unprofessional ass. We have made contact with the DPD and city attorney and will do all we can to shut these tools down.

Was doing a quick visit to voodoo at 11:30PM(you guys were definitely closed) on a SATURDAY. Only car in the lot. I did not know about it being a private lot actually until I saw signs on voodoo donuts’ walls(thank them for their kindness). So naturally I ran back to move my car. It was 11:32PM and it had already vanished. I called and was requested $ 290 and my license. Wtf. Never in my life have I ever seen a tow bill THAT high! For some reason they brought back the jeep and tried jacking up the price for the return! I tried contesting them but then they threatened to drive away! The driver did drive away but luckily I found two police officers who stopped him! I gave the dude his $ 290 unwillingly in front of police presence. On the drive home I noticed my wheel alignment was extremely off. Probably from that jack wagon towing it up in 30 seconds. So yes I will too be complaining to the city and the news as well!

I’ll add my frustrating experience to the list. I parked in their empty lot in the middle of the night to pick up some Voodoo Donuts and their towing company towed my car within 20 minutes. There is no reason for this, I want my $ 300 back.

Exact same thing happen to me that happened to Alex. I was visiting out of town from California I saw the signs but I thought it meant the parking was for the whole shopping center. Not even a minute after walking into voodoo doughnuts one of the employees announced to everyone to go check our vehicles that they are probably already booted. Me and 3 other people took off running to the back to find all of our cars booted then the guy wants my license and 100 cash. What kind of shady operation is that. I’m with Alex I will be filing a complaint and will be contacting the local news. Our family here said the same sort of operation was going on somewhere else in Denver and it got shut down. So on top of filing a complaint call the news station too. I hate to see this happen to more people.

Because LRXD continues to contract with Hotrodz LLC and its agent, Brian S. Liebelt of 2530 Miller, Lakewood, Colorado 80125(even after numerous other reports of scammy activities on their parking lot), I am writing this negative review. I was just about to go to the airport in Denver yesterday to fly home to Los Angeles when I decided to make a quick stop at Voodoo Donuts. It was raining heavily and I parked in what I now know to be LRXD’s parking lot at 1480 Humboldt Street at 4:01PM. Because of the heavy rain and the excessive height of the signs posted in the lot indicating that the parking is for LRXD only, I did not notice that the lot was private. I was walking under an umbrella, so with the signs being so high up, I couldn’t even see them when I got out of the car. Regardless, when I rounded the corner and arrived at Voodoo with my friend, I saw the sign that said Voodoo is «street parking only,» so I left immediately to move my car. I arrived back to the lot at 4:03PM, exactly 2 minutes later, to find that my car had just been booted. The man who booted it was hiding in a large, blue pickup truck and lied to me that he was not«hiding» there when I asked him where he came from. I pleaded with him to remove the boot because of my honest mistake and extremely fast return(empty handed, no less), but he kept lecturing me about nothing changing the fact that I was illegally parked and there was a $ 100 fee(cash only) to remove the boot. «Hotrodz» accepted payment of $ 50, indicating that they were«saving me money» by beating the tow truck to the job. The lot agent, Matthew, got smart with me, as did Brian, the man behind the business at 720−404−3843, mocking my words over the phone. I was also lectured on how much of a problem parking is for the poor employees of LRXD, despite the fact that their office lights were off, no one was at the front desk, and the lot was over half empty. They were likely closed already and just wanted to turn a quick profit on some parking violations for the night, as others have experienced after business hours. Anyway, I have lodged a complaint against this shady booting company with the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses, and I urge others to do the same. Please email to obtain a complaint form. I am also sending a complaint to the BBB. If I were in the market for an advertising firm, I would steer clear of this one. They obviously aren’t sensible enough to consider other options even after ridiculously negative online reviews as a result of their choice in parking lot enforcement clowns. LRXD: Perhaps you do not make money off of the booting and towing of cars in your lot, although it is VERY likely that you do. Regardless, you should consider the ethicality of the businesses with whom you contract for services. Obviously, your aggressive approach(and/or the aggressive approach of your parking enforcement contractors) is hurting your online reputation which, as you should know, is everything these days. Maybe consider installing a gate or, at a minimum, discussing a code of conduct with the lot vultures you employ.

Tag line is «Health & Happiness Advertising Agency» & «We like working with companies who make — things that make life better» — yet, despite that tag line, LRDX does not promote happiness and is not about building healthy relationships with their neighbors or anyone patronizing their neighbors business. LRXD was closed today for the holiday but still had some dude patrolling the lot to make sure people would not park there and support other business — particularly Voodoo Doughnuts. They have a big parking lot(empty today because the business is closed for Memorial Day) but apparently, despite being closed, they have a problem sharing the empty space and had a guy patrolling the lot in an ugly, old, red Porsche, specifically looking to tow — especially Voodoo patrons. Mind you, the business is closed today so parking in the space would not affect their business but, after being told if we parked there we would get towed, we found another place to park. We found meter parking and while waiting patiently for my son to get the order, I noticed the tow happy guy in the red Porsche driving around the block repeatedly and staring at the Voodoo business and patrons… which was odd. This place needs to learn basic kindergarten etiquette of how to share and be neighborly. It makes no sense to deliberately try to make things difficult for people especially when your business is not even impacted because you were closed for the day and, instead of being tow Nazis, you could have used your time and space to positively market your business, or alternatively, you could have charged a fair fee to park there and reflected a positive light on your business. After all, you never know who was out getting doughnuts today that may also need an advertising agency, like me. And while I had never heard of LRXD before today, after today, I will never use them or refer them as they certainly did nothing to promote my happiness and did not make life better; they effectively lost my business before they even had it.
