I’m not entirely sure what is going on with this business… all I know is that I haven’t gotten the massage that I paid for on Groupon. The phone number here on Unilocal and on the Groupon is wrong. If you call it, you get an Acupuncture business and someone saying that Making Scentz is out of business and if you have a Groupon, they’re sorry, but there’s nothing they can do about it. If you go to the Web site, there’s a different number and if you call, it’s a Google number service asking for your name and then they forward you to a message machine. If you leave a message, no one calls you back. I still see signs for the business on the street, but it’s really unclear if they are even open for business anymore. There are a slew of other dissatisfied customers in the hidden review section of this profile. Good luck if you have a Groupon. I’ve requested my money back from Groupon. I suggest you do the same if you have one.

After a particularly stressful week, I went to Making Scentz for the Facial/Massage package. I came out a new person! The place is cute and comfortable without being pretentious. I was extremely impressed with the services and products used-I can’t wait to go back!

My sis brought us and our gal pals here for a facial party… and party we did! It’s not that you all get pampered together«couples style», but rather do your own facial under the guidance of a host. We had a great time with our host Stephanie and a bevy of complimentary mimosas. The business itself is nothing fancy and has the feel of a converted old house. Only a few small rooms including the lobby, «party room», massage room, and bathroom. In addition to the delicious chocolates, drinks, and products — our host guided us through a simple(yet mystical ;-) card reading which we also enjoyed. In retrospect, I think the name of this business does it a disservice. The play on words don’t reflect the holistic and calming energy the business is focused on. I mean, I get they are about aromatherapy, but I think they should consider a name that more reflects their services. IMO, but whatever — relatively unimportant. I would definitely consider coming in for some serious energy work despite our hilarity reenacting the cocaine-laced steam bowl scene from Crocodile Dundee. (Don’t worry. There was no cocaine actually involved.) My skin feels great too as does my funny bones. I don’t think I laughed that hard in a while, but that’s more a credit to my sick and twisted gal pals. We’ll definitely be back for another group beauty treatment!
