When we received our food It look more like an appetizer than a entrée. The food was tasty but extremely small portions. Not a value for what your paying for. The menu was deceiving with there descriptions. Also The woman who waited on us was rude and seemed very bothered that we came in for lunch. I will NOT be back.

Came in looking for bottomless mimosas because it’s advertised on their website. Waitress said they no longer offered it. Had to speak with the manager before they honored it. Then after we ordered, the cook quit and walked out, and we waited THREEHOURS patiently for another cook to arrive. We lived off chips and salsa for hours without complaining once. Then we got the bill, and not only did they charge us for the chips, but they charged us each time they refilled the chips over the course of three hours. The food is awful. So gross. Bad service. And now they don’t even have bottomless mimosas, so there’s really no reason to ever come back here.

I’ve been to the Margs in LoDo a couple times and just visited the Uptown one for the first time. To me, the best thing about Margs is the drinks. I love the Vanilla-Coconut marg and the Stawbanero(spicy!). I also enjoyed the house marg with prickly pear. The food is good – not great – in my opinion. Being vegetarian, I liked that they offer an option to sub tofu on any of the tacos; it states this in small print at the very bottom corner of the menu, so I almost missed it). I got the Philly Cheesesteak and the Menonita(with the sauce on the side). It was a pretty good meal, but the drinks were awesome!

I’ve been here a few times, the food is always good! The cheese taco and the quesadilla are excellent, one of the best quesadillas i’ve ever had! I wanted to write a review because when I was in on Wednesday Nina served us and there was a slight miscommunication about my food order which had me waiting for a few minutes. Nina righted it immediately, apologized and was super straight forward and honest about the error — excellent customer service! We will definitely be back. Thanks Nina!!!

Great location as you have Fluid Coffee Bar across one corner, and D Bar Deserts on the other corner. Margs Uptown has a nice outdoor seating, lots of people walking by with their dogs and what not. As a reminder, this is white mans mexican, it is not authentic, with that you will find a different style of mexican, check the menu before you go. The inside is nice, friendly service, clean, TV’s, nice wrap around bar. I went by myself, ordered a two taco plate that came also with black beans, and i ordered a Margarita, on the rocks, salt, with a little higher end tequila than the house stuff. It did not fill me up, but i dont think the entrée two taco plate is really made too, so the entrée, with my marg and a tip came out to $ 31. Which is a bit pricey, i wouldnt go here if i am starving, but id go again if im looking for a Margarita and looking to watch some sports on the TV, or sit at the outside lounge, good conversation and some Margarita’s. Again, I am a firm believer of trying places multiple times, I am sure there are other Entrees and plates that will fill me up more and what not. I will be checking this place out again, multiple times.

First and foremost: DONOT believe their website that is advertising bottomless mimosas for brunch. Very much incorrect – my friends and I came in for brunch and when we asked the server about the deal he replied that the website was wrong and hasn’t been updated for years and had nothing better to offer us. Very disappointing. People of Denver usually know better for the brunch scene when it comes to teasing with a bottomless-mimosa offer and then ripping it out from under you. Second: their food and drinks are just kind of «meh». Not bad, but not great. I’d probably choose a few other taco or Tex-Mex places to go before I would go here. But again, not bad either. I mean it’s tacos after all, nothing fancy is to be expected.

Worst margarita I’ve ever had. This place is called Marg’s? Even the waiter said the house margarita was bad so I went with a $ 10 one, had them re-make it twice and went with a beer. Food is sub par, my friend found three whole garlic CLOVES in her quesadilla. Gross.

Pleasantly surprised. At first I was thinking this was an «uptown joint» that would cater to the new to Denver crowd with hoity-toity attitudes. But, in the end it turned out to be quite a good meal. Let’s talk about the food. D-lish. I had the chicken enchiladas and I was very pleased with my meal. I think you can tell a lot by how a place does their enchiladas so I say bravo. Some might argue that the portion is too small but for me it was just right. Great flavors, decent prices. I’m a fan. I can see this place getting crowded on the weekends but for a light meal during the week it’s a good option. The location is easy to find(right on the corner) and it’s got a very open feel to the dining/bar area. They also have frozen margs of multiple flavors and daily drink specials. Pretty good, if you ask me.

I basically go here for brunch every weekend. The menu is limited but the food is good! I love the huevos rancheros, breakfast burrito, or the steak and egg tacos. They also have bottomless bloody Marys or mimosas, til 2, and there is never a wait. The staff knows us and we basically just walk in and go to our table. Great place to watch a game or drink all afternoon in a chill environment. Marg’s is our home away from home! I cant wait until it’s warm enough to hit up the patio!!!

Not a great experience. Walked in to a slow restaurant. Sat outside to realize a very limited menu for brunch. In fact, saw a family later walk out because they didn’t offer a limited menu. Our server was good but green– he never heard of basted eggs and didn’t prebus. I work in the industry and have IndiCard, which he said I could only use for me and not my brother or mom at the table. My brother had one but my mom did not. Unfortunate, because IndiCard brought us there in the first place. The food was unsatisfactory. Everything was cold, including the queso dip. The add on chorizo was a terrible value. The shredded cheese in my tacos and in a breakfast burrito was not melted. I’m only writing this review so Margs can be better and I’ll be back! I normally enjoy this place, including its other locations. I missed the regular menu and so did the family that walked out…

Not super happy. We live literally upstairs so it’s hard not to want to go here. Don’t hate their margaritas but for what you get they are far too expensive. My real complaint was the size of my tacos about 3.5 inches wide if you get the corn tortillas. I see all the diners around me with decent sized tacos, guess I should have ordered flour tortillas. And the sides were served in dishes that would be fit for catsup size wise. I think I could count the grains of rice in the ramekin that it was served in. The hostess was inattentive the food was poor. Our poor sever seemed to be working the entire restaurant by himself. Do yourself the favor and walk to Ace or Stubens.

Was privileged to check this place out with Unilocal a long time ago, but this visit was with coworker after class the other night. Our waiter, was awesome. We got started on the delicious margarita’s and the jalepeno appetizer. He had recommendations on the tacos as my friend had not tried some of the options. Had a great meal, and this place has a great atmosphere. So glad I remembered it was here, since it’s not my local part of town.

This location has a different feel than the Cherry Creek restaurant. It seems smaller, and a little more like a bar than a restaurant. It’s loud, with prominent TVs, and many tables have back-less stools instead of chairs. I liked the fun and lively atmosphere but you should know what you’re getting when you go! The menu, I think, is the same at each Marg’s. It’s not a huge menu, but they do well what they do: margaritas and unique tacos. I liked the prickly pear margarita a lot– it’s sweet, so get the salt on the rim for balance. It’s a whole pint glass and strong, so worth your $ 9.50. The $ 1 to add the extra flavor is well worth it… at a previous visit I was not wowed by the house marg but this was better. Tonight I tried the caprese taco which was awesome, and the vindaloo taco which was okay. My friend had the cheese enchiladas that she liked a lot because they«weren’t too cheesy». Fun place, happy hour until 6, no complaints!

This place is delightful. It offers a really pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The waitstaff was super friendly and funny, which made for an enjoyable evening. They catered to our large party very last minute as well. The tacos are awesome. Soft shell is the way to go. They really stuff these babies so you will not be hungry when you leave from a bite size taco. I had a beef taco and it was really spicy and delicious. We also all shared queso which was amazing here. Good chips, good drinks, great night!

Great night out! Wife and I just soaked up the mid 70 evening temps on the patio of Margs. We were served by Tomas and had a very pleasant experience. Couple of margs, a nice ceviecha and 6 great tacos. Service was attentive and timely. Food was quality and drinks fit the bill. Happy that we were able to get a chance to dine. Looking to go back for another ceviecha as a happy hour snack. Would suggest greater quality control of flower tortillas, ours were undercooked resulting in a doughy texture. However the corn tortillas were great. All-in-all, happy to go again.

Only came here for the margaritas. My friends and I ordered different kinds, frozen, strawberry, skinny etc. Overall, we all agreed they were all strong. So if that’s your thanggggg then by all means, you’ll enjoy this place haha. Great atmosphere in a nice location. Outside patio is a great area to chill and hang out and beat the heat on a hot summer day!

I came here because I really wanted a good olé frozen strawberry margarita. And i figured this place would be good because well, marg is in their name! I did like the outside seating and the waitress kindly charged my dead phone for me(bless you) but the margs were just very meh. They were too strong and too sour. I had to dilute mine with water and even still I couldnt’ finish it. My friend got the nacho with queso dip and it was way too salty. I’ve definitely been to way better places that serve frozen margs and chips and dip.

Five is for the drinks! We had the strawbannero, a kiwi marg, the vindaloo, the korean, and the queso. The margs are super delish and unique. The food was unfulfilling. I’ll def be back for drinks but skip the expensive, small, bland food. Maybe during a happy hour, I’d get the korean taco again at more appropriate pricing

We came to Margs on a sunny Saturday afternoon, on a whim. We were able to grab the last table on their packed patio(the inside was empty but décor is lovely) and found service to be very quick. Our server was a giant help with suggestions, whether we asked for them or ordered something he guessed we might not actually enjoy(happened a couple of times). I had the ginger mint and watermelon mint margs, and a mexican mule and enjoyed them all. Margs are served in a pint-sized glass and so there’s no fear of receiving a tiny cup for a large price. The mule came in a standard copper mug. Our server suggested against the vanilla coconut marg per it being super sweet, though that’s the one I had wanted to try. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend this restaurant. Only suggestion is to sit away from the balconies on the patio. The patron on the top patio directly above me kept tossing bits of something down and it was gross.

There are definitely places that fully take advantage of their location. Marg’s Taco Bistro, for example, conveniently sits in the midst of one of the most popular and increasingly expensive parts of town. Right across the street at One City Block rents start at $ 1300 a month(for studios) and go all the way up to $ 2500. So I guess Marg’s Taco Bistro can take advantage of that fact and can offer fairly overpriced tacos to people who aren’t really interested in a taco but rather a yuppie simulacrum of one. After all, if you really wanted a taco, you could go to the city’s many(more) authentic Mexican restaurants and get tacos that are both better and cheaper than the ones served at Marg’s. Not that the Tacos at Marg’s aren’t good… I think they are fine in the fusion-y«tacos can be whatever» kind of way. But when I have the choice, I’d happily pick a more authentic Mexican restaurant over Marg’s. And in this case, there happens to be one catty-corner. But then again, I’m not one who spends $ 1400 on a studio(really nice ones actually) and $ 12 on two tacos with mediocre rice and beans on the side, so I may not be the target demographic.
