I agree with Gee W. below and am confused why Oblio’s has so many bad reviews. I live just a few streets over and have NEVER had a bad experience here. The staff has always been super friendly, the free breadstick appetizer is a plus(who doesn’t like carbs for free?), their pizza is always super fresh and delicious, and in my opinion they certainly don’t skimp on the toppings as other reviewers have suggested. The atmosphere inside can be a bit crowded if you’re here at a busy time, but it’s a cozy mom and pop restaurant that gives you the«come as you are» vibe. I get that pizza is like a religion to some people and you’re going to have your«holier than thou» pizza enthusiasts who are religious to one pizza joint and one pizza joint only(that’s how I am with tacos, so I see you foodie extremists). However, if you dig down in your pizza loving heart I think you’ll find that though Oblio’s might not be the prettiest establishment to look at, they sure as hell make up a mean, fresh, hot, and tasty pizza to make up for it!

Read a review that wine glasses were smaller, wing orders were small and breadsticks didn’t happen anymore. Investigated. Got a whole split in the wine glass with room, HUGE order of yummy wings and breadsticks arrived quickly just like every time. Celebrated most of son’s fun life things here and will continue to do so.

We’ve been coming here for nearly 20 years … Excellent pizza with the most incredible crust; the chocolate cookie dessert is a winner; but most of all, it’s Suzanne and her team which make the place a true Park Hill haven.

Ordered pizza from here last night, really appreciated them willing to deliver even though all roads were snow covered. Pizza was fine, we had asked them to put garlic on our pizza but they forgot to do that unfortunately.

Nope. There are too many good pizza restaurants around to waste your time(and calories) here.

Oblio’s is the perfect neighborhood pizza place to go with the kids – or it was. It seems that things have changed. The portions are smaller for wings and drinks(wine) and there are no more breadsticks when you get seated. The service is always slow, but sweet, yet it seems like there is an overall shift. We will give Oblio’s one more try – out of love for the neighborhood pizza joint, but it seems that a good thing may be gone.

Meh, not good. The people are friendly, the establishment is right in line with what I love, but the Pizza is sadly a fail. I love local owned establishments and will always support them over the big boys but I must say there’s some really good pizza in this city being banged out(see below) and Oblio’s just needs to step up their game. I really want to love you Oblio’s because you’re so close, convenient, and charming. But I don’t want to be disappointed when I eat. Our experience– The crust was soggy, the sausage had a funk to it(everyone picked it off except me because I’m willing to choke down bad food when it’s already been paid for). Overall the pizza seemed old even though I picked it up 10 minutes before they said it would be ready. I really don’t want to give up on Oblios but I hope they visit Unilocal to see the reviews and maybe tweek how they do pizza… Looking for good pizza? Try Angelo’s Taverna, Denver Deep Dish, Wyman’s No. 5, or Endzo’s End… all local owned businesses.

I go to Oblio’s and I order delivery quite often. In both cases, I’ve enjoyed myself :) I really love the thin-crust pies with white sauce. They aren’t too greasy and the crust is just right for my tastes. The restaurant is old-school cozy with it’s pictured walls and sit down arcade games. I love that vibe and the patio is also bustling with neighborhood folks so it’s always a great place for a summer bite. My son loves going here and can eat a ton of the pizza in one sitting. I kill that dessert cookie too. It’s big and mouth-watering.

This place used to be the only pizza joint in park hill when I bought my first house here. Farmed out dough balls, then made them in house, soggy pie, got new ovens crisper crust. This is the place guilty white liberals come after art, gymnastics or ignorance meetings. Sub par pie with minimal toppings for $ 18, 8 Chicken wings now $ 10.25 I love to support local business but will not thanks to the lack of quality

So, if you follow my reviews, you’ll come to see a recurring theme; I love mom & pop establishments. This little pizzeria is a fine example of a small business being beloved by the local community. Now, it’s not the cheapest pizza in town, and depending on your preferences(thin, thick, deep, gooey, etc.) you may not even think it’s the best pizza in town. What it is, however, is good pizza at a reasonable price in an awesome little location with fantastic staff and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out!

Second time visit and its good with the bad. Good pizza dough, sauce, and cheese. Toppings are ALWAYS skimpy. Well lets say they are cheap on toppings. Service is dependent on who you have. If it wasn’t for Groupon I would say the pies are way to expensive. You all can decide.

Had dinner here recently. Breadsticks weren’t brought out until our pizza came out and my Guinness was served warm. Our waiter consistently forgot the sides we asked for and the pizza was undercooked. I don’t understand how this place stays open. I’ve eaten here about 1x/year since moving to Park Hill 6 years ago and each time is disappointing. Thankfully we’ve finally learned our lesson and will not be returning. It’s really unfortunate it’s not better. Would love to eat here once a week if it was worth it.

I cannot believe I’ve waited almost 2 years to try this place! We went in for a little beer and pizza after purchasing a Groupon and nothing about Oblio’s was disappointing. The service was great — we were immediately greeted and seated when we walked. Our order was taken very quicky and food was brought out without too much of a wait. On to the food. The dinner salad has homemade dressing options which are fantastic! And I don’t think my tastebuds can describe the deliciousness of the pizza. It’s not super thin and not super thick pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy and the cheese amazingly melty. I’m fairly certain I’m going to make this my new neighborhood bar — the patio is going to be great for grabbing a beer in the summer!

I can totally see where Kendall C(below) is comin’ from, and I’ve learned some of them ‘off’ times to get at this joint, cuz she-beaux and I loves it. Testament to the fact: I rep that Staple-hood, and will order wings and pizza to go from Oblio’s in Park Hill, drive outta the way to scoop it, then BACK to the highway to hit a Super Bowl party in Wheat Ridge. Nah mean? They’ve probably got some obvious staffing issues, but I’ve been there before, too, where my one man is working the bar with one more in the kitchen, and he holds it down. Maybe to compensate for bein’ shorthanded and, as a result, a bit slow– or maybe just cuz they’re rad folks– if you order a greyhound they’ll mix in martini shakers, pour you a tall one, then give you the rest in the shaker. I’m down for that.

6:15pm on a Friday night we walked into Oblio’s from Gymnastics around the corner to grab something for a few kids to eat before class started in 45 minutes. The joint was packed to the gills. Very few restaurants are smaller, louder and more stressful than this. Could not imagine families with small children/grandparents eating amid the chaos here. But there they were, enduring it all. Unsmiling parents, frowny kids overwhelmed by the clamor. Wait staff elbowing their way by. After a 10 min. wait at the crowded register, I finally place a to-go order with a harried 16 y/o-ish waitress — small cheese pizza and breadsticks. I pay, and told it’ll be ready in 20 – 25 mins. The kitchen is total chaos and everyone’s going down the tubes. Cooks, managers, wait staff bumping into each other, spilling drinks, stepping on feet. We return at 6:45pm and are told it’ll be another 25 – 30 mins. We return at 7:30 and the pizza is just coming out of the oven. I’m then asked to pay again! I Insist I did, but they’re not convinced. No receipt was given earlier to me. Luckily the 16 year old remembers me paying. I stand around another 5 minutes for the forgotten breadsticks. No apology or explanation — just a «Here you go».

We ordered Pizza for take out, and it is clear that they are not geared up for it. The first time I called, they put me on hold(ie. left the phone on a table, I think) and forgot all about it. When we got there, it took the lone person serving the room a good 5+ minutes before attending to us & our pizza was already ready. Now to the Pizza. It is o k a y. They use a dish to make the pizza in & then have a small oven with a conveyor belt that bakes it. The crust is very bready as a result & not crisp as a thin crust pizza should be. Too much cheese! Sauce & toppings were good. Not a repeat for us.

Once again my wife and I tried this place and we were very disappointed again. The only reason I am giving this place one star is the fact that it is a family friendly place. Pizza(if you want to call it that) has no flavor and way over priced, trust me I’m from NYC. There is Another pizza place(A’s) that is not to far away that is made by a guy from the east coast and knows what pizza should taste like. Not hating just telling the truth!!!

The Fat Tommy pizza is AWESOME! They have great drink specials(I went on a Monday) and great atmosphere. It was a great place to take the fam after the zoo– the outdoor seating is covered, so weather won’t keep you from having a great time.

There seems to be some people on here hating on Oblio’s, and I’m not sure why. This is a great little neighborhood pizza place. The pizza is, in my opinion, very good, the service usually is good(but not always), and the place is very kid friendly. Add to that a nice happy hour and a couple of table top Ms. Pac Mans, what’s not to like? Oh yeah, I think the cookie dessert is pretty over the top awesome. And I usually steer clear of desserts, especially if little people are at the table. Not here, I get it every time! A fun little aside, it appears that firefighters like this place(ladies, settle down), and the last few times I have been here, one of their rigs has pulled up to collect their to go order. Kids are attracted to these trucks like Mardi Gras beads are attracted to a pair of DDs. Immediately, the truck is surrounded by kids, and it seems like they always give the kids a quick tour(and even some Jolly Ranchers). Admittedly, this has basically nothing to do with Oblio’s, but still, big props to DFD. Back to reality, a few reviewers have suggested that the only reason this place stays in biz is the kid friendly angle, I disagree. It certainly helps, but it doesn’t make or break the restaurant for me whatsoever. Either way, I’m a fan, with or without kids around. And some beefcake firefighters for eye candy never hurt… KIDDING!!!

Oblio’s is awesome! Their customer service AND their food are top notch. I’ve been to the older location a few times and honestly, they treat me and my party like family each time. I’ve recently went there 30 minutes before they closed hoping I could quickly order and they welcomed me in without any problem. The«Fat Tommy» pizza is delicious. The pizza dough is wonderfully tasty… every bite! They make their own ranch dressing and it’s wonderful too. I do know the owner and his wife and am very happy to write a truthful review here.
