Great views of the mountains and a nice place to watch the sunset from. Drinks are just okay and a little pricey for the quality. Beware if to order off the menu they will try and put you over the barrel. $ 23.50 for a Manhattan Martini with Stranahans Whiskey. Seriously!

Let’s keep this short. Yes, it’s a touristy bar. Yes, the drinks are really expensive. The view can’t be beat, and even if you’re a native it’s worth stopping in for a drink to watch the sun go down. My waitress refused to let my beer get empty, so I had a great, albeit expensive, time.

I have no idea if the food is any good, because I waited 45 minutes without ever seeing the server again. Great free beer though when they can’t even be bothered to bring you the check.

Stayed in this hotel during the second week of December. I loved the views. Only ordered a few glasses of wine and the«donuts». Great service!

Amazing sunsets and nightime city views! High tops and comfy couches to take in the view through the walls of windows. Pretty delish apps too. Pricey but the widespread amazing view of the entire mountain range is spectacularly worth it. Tricky to get there. Only one set of elevators wisks you to the 27th floor.

Really great atmosphere, the 27th floor is a beautiful overlook of downtown Denver and is really a sight at sunset. The drinks menu is decent yet lacks draft beer for some reason. I’ve been here a number of times over the years and figured they would upgrade someday but that’s not the case. The food is upscale bar fare and is decent as well. I like this place for watching the sunset over a cocktail and if you’re bringing visitors into town it’s a great place to stop by.

The best part about this lounge is the view. Along with the Four Seasons, it is one of the best I have seen in Denver. Our server was awesome despite the fact that it was busy. I ordered the salsa trio, which comes with warm pita, a basic salsa, a black bean and corn salsa, and a mango salsa. The mango was by far my favorite and the pita was absolutely delicious. Nice and pillowy, just how I like it! I ordered a bloody mary, and though it was decent, it wasn’t anything better than what you might get at an airport. Their was no «salad» with the exception of a lemon and lime. I didn’t hear the other guest raving about their drinks, but we all left with our glasses empty, so I guess they did the trick. All in all, this is a nice spot to take someone(or yourself!) for a drink at sunset.

This review is mostly for the Hyatt employees, I wish I had their names but here is why I was more impressed than I have been in a long time with the hospitality I experienced. First, I decided that sunset in the Peaks Lounge was the place I would propose to my girlfriend. Of course she said yes! Lucky for me, but lucky for us both that sitting next to us were three mystery ladies that work somewhere within the Hyatt family(if I can figure it who, it would mean a whole lot) had a bottle of champagne delivered to our table. Not only that, they called our hotel, the Grand Hyatt, just down the street and had us upgraded. We were more than taken care of with our SUITE upgrade. When we arrived in our room we were treated with another complimentary bottle of wine, chocolate and strawberries. The best part was the signed card by the hotel staff! This meant so much to us folks. We really really appreciate it. Helped make an already unforgettable evening that much better.

1. View was amazing 2. Service was great. We wanted to get a drink or two before our dinner at Altitude downstairs. We sat down and was greeted within a few minutes with menus. The waitress came back with water and took our drink orders. Drink were brought to us in a reasonable amount of time. We were frequently checked on for refilling our waters and if we wanted to order another drink. Yes we did! 3. I ordered the 27th floor martini and husband ordered the old fashion. My martini was yummy and tasted like chocolate cake. Husband said his drink was ok-good. Could have been stronger. 4. Price was typical for a night out. No complaints. 4 stars only for the lack of alcohol in my husband’s drink.

Best view in Denver We went on a Sunday afternoon right when they opened at 4:00 Great drinks. I had a pear something. Nice to know they have Stranahan’s too. Melanie our waitress was very attentive and helpful. We were with a friend in a wheelchair and had plenty of room at our table. Homemade potato chips were warm and delish. The flatbread with apples and ham was really good and perfect for the four of us to nibble as none of us were really hungry.

Swanky bar on the 27th floor of the Hyatt Hotel. The views look on to Downtown Denver and west to the Rockies. You can see a lot of the professional sport venues and get a great view of the area. The drink prices are a little high but I don’t know what else you would expect from a place like that. I definitely recommend it if you want to get a nice view of the city and feel fancy.

Great View of the city. Its a Casual spot. Not a Frat boy spot. They have a good appetizer and food and dessert menu. I can vouch for the bread pudding. a Big serving at a great price. The cocktails are on the higher scale of the price spectrum but delicious. And the view of Denver as sunsets. Totally worth it.

Peaks Lounge is a great place to take out of town visitors for a drink and a view of the city. There is floor to ceiling glass that extends the long length of the seating area which offers spectacular and panoramic views of the mountains, the city, and many of the Denver landmarks. This is a hotel bar, so you do pay a bit of a premium, but definitely worth it.

Hands down you can’t beat the view! But consistently slow service and overpriced drinks! To explain exactly how slow it took us 20 minutes at a table to order a drink and then another 15 minutes to get a drink when my husband could have simply gone to the bar. Again when we went to talk about it took forever to track our server down and pay and that’s just annoying. tables are first come first serve which creates chaos as there’s no one to really greet you or explain the setup.

We have given this place a chance since its conception/opening. We returned for another visit before a recent show at the preforming art center. Traditionally we stick to drinks only, and the sunset. (the only real reason to go). Once again huge let down on the food. In places like this, where we’ve had repeat disappointment we tend to stick to things that are impossible to screw up. With that in mind we ordered a few flat breads, and the charcuterie board from our waitress recommendation. The ladies had the flat breads, they where not impressed and barely picked at them. Both felt nauseous after. When we ask for our checks with a table of barely picked over food I was surprised that the cocktail waitress didn’t address the barely touched food. it was obvious it wasn’t satisfying . What really triggered this review which we never do was the Charcuterie Board. In a obvious ditch effort to over charge & under deliver, this monstrosity was the biggest let down. it was a 95 to 10% ratio of meat to cheese. the cheese barely existed and was uninspired deli cheeses. the meat was gobs and piles of pizza/flat bread topping. the protein edges where dried out from improper long term storage. real quality is sliced to order this is stale, dried deli cuts, no artisan quality. Finished with a few stale meaningless crustini’s and one pickle slice. this is one of the most expensive items on the app menu $ 16 — or $ 18 I forget. the presentation looked like a deconstructed sandwich preparation for kids school lunches. The quality was mediocre at its worse, and obvious that it was just a way to stretch out food cost & twist the kitchen ingredients into a fake, sub-par, fake artisan cheese and salumi board. playing off like its foodie quality when in reality its rubbish. Th Charcuterie board is a canvas that a real kitchen get to shine with. It reflects their compassion for ingredients, timeless tradition and its executed with passion. This was a hail marry in the last 2 seconds of the game with no success. We are done giving this place a chance to get it right. sticking to cocktails hereon out.

Before going to Peak’s Lounge you have to know what you are going for. A stunning view from the 27th floor of a hotel in downtown Denver. With that in mind, you have to set your expectations accordingly and you won’t be disappointed. Me and my girlfriend stopped up here for a nightcap after a show, to enjoy the view and some time together over a drink. We got exactly what we wanted. The view from Peaks Lounge even at night is wonderful, overlooking Denver we were able to see many of the landmarks that make Denver unique(except the mountains of which we could only see the towers on Lookout blinking in the distance). This would be an ideal place to watch a sunset over the Rockies. As for the bar itself, our drinks were reasonably priced(on the high side but not insane), and unfortunately they stopped serving at 10pm otherwise we would have loved a quick dessert. We were told the downstairs bar served until midnight, but we opted to pass. Unfortunately as with any tourist attraction or hotel, you get a fair number of people from that crowd, either staying in the hotel or visiting town, however we did not have the issues that others highlighted with rude or loud crowds. Worth a visit now and then, however doubt I’ll ever become a regular here.

Sometimes you just need to splurge. Peaks Lounge allows for this. It’s at the top of the Hyatt downtown, so you can enjoy a drink and an amazing view at the same time. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Upon overhearing us discussing another place to visit, she even provided us with a coupon for said destination. It ain’t cheap here, make no mistake. A round of martinis costs a pretty penny. They have small noshes as well, also pricey. But if you’re downtown and want to live large for an hour, come here. It’s a good place.

In all my life here in Denver, I never knew a place like this existed! The view up at Peaks lounge reminded me of LA’s The Standard, where you see a great view of downtown. At first I felt weird walking into a hotel but quickly went up to Peaks Lounge and felt like I was at home. It’s very nice and I didn’t feel overdressed since I did see a group of people in gowns. The crowd is a little bit older(I’m in my mid 20’s) and the average age could have been early 30’s. A lovely place to just chill and soak up what Denver has to offer.
