So, who the hell drives up to Louisville from Colfax to sell«40 pizzas from a cancelled order» anyway? There is a slight chance the driver just happened to be wearing a Pizza Express shirt while trying to sell rancid pizzas from the back of his car, but considering the other reviews for this place I think it’s a safe lock that the driver should have changed shirts…

Some of the worst quality pizza I’ve ever had, AND they employ sleazy and dishonest sales tactics: they came to our Lakewood office claiming that a hospital nearby had canceled their order(of 19 pepperoni pizzas) due to some emergency… So they were offering them to us 40% off. Turns out this is just their manipulative ploy, and the crappy pizzas aren’t even actually discounted. The building and our office door say NOSOLICITING for a reason!

Lived by this place for almost a year before I tried it. Seems to be a popular high school stop for lunch and after school so I avoided it for awhile. I can honestly say I was quite surprised on how much better it was then I thought it would be. Way better then the big three that deliver. I got 2 slices for way cheaper then the over priced hipster pizza at fat sulllys. Not saying it’s the best pizza ever but quality for the price you pay is on point. Will be stopping back by for a slice again soon!

Wow, there’s a whole lot of negative reviews here, that’s unfortunate. I’ll tell ya, I’m New York born and raised, and I love pizza. I’ve been buying pizza from this establishment for longer than the current owners have been in possession of it. Let me tell you this: they may not be the friendliest people to you(although they are VERY nice to me, thank you very much), but the pizza is THEBEST in Denver, and an incredible value. You folks are foolish for not taking advantage of the quality and the price. It’s a local business– support it! Screw Dominos and Pizza Hut– support your local, ya’all. These guys work their butts off with barely a break. They deal with hordes of high school kids 5 days a week during term. Give ‘em a break, for that alone! Every time my company has a pizza party we call Pizza Express. No need to order days in advance. Call the day before and they crank out 15 – 20 pies at an incredible price, delivered the next day by Noon. THAT is service! But most of all, try the Family Special. There is no better value anywhere in Denver. Hook up before they’re gone and another conglomerate takes their place.

Pizza not bad at all– peeps who work there– SO rude! Rude enough to make me want to order Dominos instead. Employees are polite at least.

My first impression of Pizza Express was just another sleazy place on Colfax. I have ordered pizza from there a few times and it is good, nothing life changing. The thing about pizza express is that it is a great place to get numerous pizzas for a party. You can get a XL pizza with 3 toppings for carry out for 9 bucks. The guys that work there are really nice. They also can deliver a few different items like burritos, gyros, tamales or nachos. I would avoid this place like the plague during school lunch hours though. Unless you like to be around tons of high school kids. This will never be my favorite place. It is worth having delivered or having carry out for a change.

Oh so many memories of freshman year of high school come up when i think of this place. The Pizza Express is an affordable and tasty spot to hit up when you’re a high schooler at East and you’re broke. Other than that, you shouldn’t be going here to eat pizza. It’s pretty good, but you’ll change your mind when you see the sketchy interior and creepy employees. I would not feel safe parking my car behind the building at all.
