I cannot comment on Prodigy’s moving service b/c I cancelled service due to failure to send a confirmation email to book services. With the stress of moving I wanted to be assured I had scheduled moving services. I initially booked on Monday(Feb 1st), I called and left a message Tuesday to see if someone could return my call and send me the confirmation email — no response. I called again today to cancel the services and spoke w/a receptionist who lacked a sense of decency and was incredulous. Instead of confirming that they had the right email the receptionist merely stated they had sent me the confirmation email(which — wouldn’t you know the email magically came through right after the telephone encounter today); had the response been a little more pleasant or apologetic I may have continued services. Moreoever, they are going to charge me a $ 50 non-refundable booking fee. I understand the importance of such fees– when it is professionally followed by a formal confirmation that a business transaction took place. I want others to know that this was not addressed in the bid I received from them. Also, they appear to be doing business under more than one name, possibly ASAP movers.
