For a small place the service takes hours, it seems busy because its small, I felt like we were all sardines trying to get wings and drinks. Rude bartenders, ask for a beer get a what and foam overflowing your pint, its a sausage fest with usual guys night perks. man I pay, I chug, and go out the door somewhere else with room. The bar is so small you wont even miss it.

Great little neighborhood bar in the Regis district. The atmosphere is great. Bartenders are friendly and sociable. They even have great merch/hats. Good place to watch a game or just belly up and have a beer. Plenty of room for groups at tables. During the summer, they open the garage doors to catch the kick a$$ Denver breeze. Have $ 5 all you can eat wings on Wednesdays. Have always been a huge fan of this deal at their other locations(Pub on Pearl/Penn), but the last few times I’ve been here, the wings are overcooked and not worth the $ 5. This is the opinion of a few others I have stopped in here with as well. I hate leaving anything negative about this place because it is a great spot, but either the fryer needs to be turned down or the cook needs to be taught how to correctly cook wings. Other than that, it’s all good! Stop here and I promise you’ll enjoy it.

Should open earlier because we are hungry. Discontinuation of Mac and cheese bites ALMOST led us to give 4 stars, but breakfast burritos suffice.

A hangout for the Regis crowd, this a simple tavern with good food and drink. Tvs, game tables and open garage doors make this place fun on any night in the summer. Wing night is tough to beat.

Service was top notch even though they were SLAMMED on 5 $ wing night. You have a mix of people in this place. The people that have lived in the neighborhood forever, college kids and then the people like us that are newer to the area. Wings were great and they kept bringing them out. The beer was cold and affordable! Stop in on wing night! WEDNESDAY

Holy crap, I’ve found my 2nd home. Not sure how they stay open with their low prices. Every day has a deal with Saturday’s 8 – 10 $ 10 all you can drink. Friday 5 – 10 $ 1 street tacos that are really good. All food prices are SUPER cheap. Pool table, Lots of tvs, golden tee, big buck safari, cute outdoor seating out front. Rock on owners of Rocky Top Tavern!

Good food and drink specials daily. Nice service. Small neighborhood bar with patio. We were pleasantly surprised during our first visit and have been back every week since.

Small little hole in the wall type place, but nicer. Great spot, cool people and surprisingly good food. Cozy on rainy nights.

Love this place. Dollar tacos are so good. The shrimp is my favorite. But all are good. Try the tatchos. So good. Its tater not nachos. Um. Yum.

Great service and great food… simple, typical yet yummy bar food… some great food deals if you go on certain nights though the food really does seem reasonably priced in general… and I appreciate what they have on tap!

I have been here a few times, usually for the $ 5 all you can eat wings Wednesdays(5 – 11PM). You also have to buy a drink to get the wings at this special price. There are usually lots of people especially at night. The wings aren’t bad because they are really crispy and hot but the only sauce I like is the spicy garlic sauce. I guess I can’t really complain but I might be better off at buffalo wild wings on Tuesday nights. So ehh this place is okay.

Love this place! It’s a great neighborhood bar. They have just enough taps for everyone to get the beer style they like. Their menu is full of foodie, bar food fusion, like Totchos(tater tots topped with nacho toppings). I am definitely coming back for the peanut butter bacon burger! People are just really friendly and happy, here. We posted up in a corner of the pool room and had a great time chatting and making jokes with the fellas playing pool(including the owner, I believe). We would have stayed longer, had the Snowpocalypse not cut our day short. There is plenty of street parking in this neighborhood and I love the proximity to the new Gold Spot Brewing. I see beer tasting and burgers in our future ;)

Losing stars the longer its open. Yes, I appreciated the renovation but they are sinking into old behaviors. Here’s what I don’t get: the burgers and wings are good– really good. I agree with everyone who talks about the high quality of the food. They could attract a crowd for food but they are clearly still catering to the Regis crowd exclusively. It took 20 mins to get a servers attention and when we did she still failed to clear the table of glasses from the previous occupants. Service didn’t improve as time went on and we waited long periods of time between visits to the table and for an extended period of time to pay. It was busy so let’s not hold speed against them but cleaning the table is pretty key. The floors were gross. Here’s why: beer pong. Ok, that’s your choice to host pitchers and beer pong at your bar despite the improved bottle display encouraging liquor. But on a busy wing night, maybe postpone taking up 1⁄3 of your space with what equates to 2 cheap pitchers of beer over 20 mins. I’ll admit, I’m not above admitting I smoked a cig or two in the previous establishment but I was reminded very quickly of how little had changed when we found ourselves surrounded by pot smoke. All in all, I have fond memories of the Hill Top but I wouldn’t go unless already deep into a bottle of liquor. It’s changed less than you would think post renovation.

I really like this place. Good food, good drinks, good service, good prices. They’ve got lots of TVs and good happy hour deals. Very happy to have found such a good spot close to home.

Cheap wings on wednesdays and despite the complete lack of seating every single time I’ve been in on a wednesday, the wings keep coming out hot and fresh. Definitely not a bad place for some pub grub.

Do not be discourage by the appearance of the neighborhood, or the surrounding area. It’s not that bad around there, but it just doesn’t look like the area where you would find such a cool bar. Inside, the place is top notch, fresh, inviting and comfortable. Someone has spent some time putting in a first class, neighborhood pub. It’s attractive, it’s not noisy, it’s clean, and the staff are polite, courteous and accommodating. Stepping through the doors is almost like stepping into an oasis. And, just like a local bar should, they have great drink specials,(the bartender makes a mean Bloody Mary), every day of the week. This place is definitely affordable. They have good prices on good«bar food,» too. I was interested to try the nachos made with tater tots, but I did not. Maybe next time. My wife had a big, soft pretzel, and I had french fries. The pretzel filled a plate, and it was only $ 6.00 every day. My fries were adequate, and only $ 3.00. The only complaint I had with the food was that it was a bit greasy, but I kind of expect that from bar food. I certainly liked the french fries here better than those I had at the Buffalo Rose. I’m thinking they were frozen, but not kept frozen, and, thus, they retained too much oil. Either that, or the cook did not let them drain long enough before pouring them in the basket. My wife said the pretzels at Piflers’ on Colfax was better, but this one was adequate. The food, as in most pubs, is probably going to be hit or miss. I am not rating this place on its food. I am rating this place on its atmosphere, good drink prices, and excellent neighborhood feel. There are two pool tables in there,(one even converts to table tennis), a video shooting game, four TV’s, a patio,(albeit completely unattractive), and a real«What is this place doing here» type of feel. This should be a top notch destination for students of local Regis College, and a hangout for neighbors as well. Why drive into Denver and risk driving impaired when you can walk to such a great, local pub. If I lived closer, I’d be walking there all the time.

:a hem: «Rocky Top, you’ll always be home sweet home to meeeeeeeee! Good old Rocky Top! Rocky Top, Tennesseeeeeeeeee!!!» Ok now that that is out of the way and firmly planted in your head for the rest of the day, on to ze review! Hit up Rocky Top for what I’ll say pretty much the most awesome special in existence. $ 5 all you can eat wings on Wednesday nights. Oh don’t you worry, the secret is out. Place is packed but the servers did a good job of keeping pace. All you can eat wings not enough for you? Well how about all you can drink domestic drafts and well cocktails for $ 10 from 10 — 12:00 on(get this) Saturday night! Holy cheap boozels Batman! And on Saturday! Man this is a joint after my own heart. Happen to be cross country driving I-70 and passing through Denver on a Thursday evening? Well then sir/madam you are in luck! $ 3 burgers and karaōke on Thursdays, right off the freeway! Who wouldn’t want to make a detour to sing some karaōke along the way. Just don’t do Rocky Top, unless of course you are awesome at it. Sweet place and hopefully the cornerstone of what will be a cool little strip along Lowell. Chicka-check it out.
