Christmas eve dinner reservations for 7:30 and we arrived at 7. The hostes was less than welcoming expressing that it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait. She did not offer a drink, show us to a lounge or offer to check coats. 10 minutes later we were seated at a table overlooking the street where the homeless and foot traffic gawked opon us. The server was demonstrative in explaining the menu after we expressed that we had not dined with them before. The server made clear his assumption that we had never dined ala cart or eaten a steak. The service was so sub par that I can only hope it was an off night. Every encounter with the server proved awkward as he belabored his claim of being a chef. Salad was delivered and the food runner covered the table with an almost comical amount of pepper. When I made light of this fact he half heartedly checked his pockets for a table sweeper and then shrugged and walked off. I gave up after a half hour combing the table with a butter knife so I did not have to sit in the mess. Steaks were prepared incorrectly yet waiting fot the server to check in was futile. I ordered a cup of coffee to go with dessert with a side of hand whipped cream for the coffee. I recieved a dissertation on how long it would take the server to hand whip cream, was again reminded of his chef training and then educated on the science behind a whipped cream dispenser. My coffee was later delivered with the requested cream but the coffee cup never saw a refill during dessert. The server did not have any additional help and I usually experience a team of 2 to 4 people ensuring proper service at this level of dining. To end the experience they had one valet in fridgid weather so departing was a dissapointing experience. I frequent Shanihans steak house and they never miss a beat … I have dinned numerous times at Elways, Flemmings, Mortons(Dtc prior to close as well as downtown), Sullivans, Capitol grill, Brooks, and Del Friscos. I am a foodie but have reasonable expectations around food service knowing it is hard work. All that being said if your are choosing a steak house for a rare treat then do yourself a favor and skip Ruth’s Chris.

Christmas Eve– We enjoyed a GREAT bone in fillet, Spinach, potatoes, and mushrooms– perfect for two to split. As always the 500 degree buttered serving plates made the highest quality steak go from spectacular to YOWZA! As Ruth’s serves only grade prime beef, that’s the top 2% of beef in the US, I am always always pleased with a RC steak experience! I also really enjoy their wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon, served crisp and ice cold. YUM. A couple of knocks– this place is a CORPORATERC, and it feels corporate. The Sommelier was not inspiring of my confidence in any way shape or form, and so instead we went with the 25 year old server’s opinion, which resulted in a good bottle of red. The dinner was a little rushed, but we were headed to the theater. We were seated in the bar, by the window and I am not sure if I liked it or hated it– I mean, I liked the window, but was nonplussed about dining in the mega bar. Overall a very positive EATING experience, though lacking any coziness or ambiance.

Went for Christmas dinner. Was a nice looking restaurant and our main waitress was great, however her helper gave everyone, at every coarse the wrong plate. Which isn’t his fault per se, however, he got a little annoyed at times when we pointed to whom the plate actually went to. I don’t think his annoyance was at us, but it was directed at us, he loosened up a bit at the dinner went on. We weren’t offered a children’s menu, which I was unaware they had until we were leaving, that would have helped us not have so much leftover food, had my daughter been offered one. The food wasn’t what I expected for the price. I think the food was similar to what you could get at a neighborhood restaurant. $ 10 for a side of regular fries that a Chili’s would serve. I feel like I could have had the same meal/experience anywhere, for a lot less cost. For $ 45, I got a dinner salad, petite filet, a side of mashed potatoes drowned in greasy butter and a 2 bite cheesecake brownie with some chocolate bark. Again, I was underwhelmed and had hoped for a wonderful Christmas dinner experience, and what I got was an a-ok any day of the week dinner. Ended up being kind of a bummer.

An amazingly good place. Classy. Great service. Dronks shaken at the table. I had a steak salad with blue cheese and it was superb. Not bad for«the middle of nowhere » … :-)

I had a couple of co-workers from Seattle who I wanted to experience great steak. I immediately thought of Ruth’s Chris Steak House. We all decided to order different selections to share. The food was amazing and the service was absolutely top notch! The attention to detail was beyond what was expected. My guests was extremely impressed, raving about the food and service the next day. I would bring co-workers, friends, family or that special someone to have an «experience»! Love Ruth Chris!

Best steaks in town! Their ahi tuna is absolutely stunning. A must visit when you are downtown Denver. Happy hour is on point! Ask for Kristi at the bar.

There are phenomenal Steakhouses in Colorado. If you’re craving a steak the choices are endless. I love a good steak so when a friend suggested Ruth’s Chris I didn’t hesitate to join her for dinner. Upon entering it felt like a typical Steakhouse setting with a large horseshoe bar surrounded by tables with multiple TV’s showing the night’s game. We sat at the bar and enjoyed chatting with the bartenders. Cocktails are traditional, I enjoyed several delicious Cosmo’s throughout the evening. For the evening we shared a small Seafood Platter with lobster, shrimp and crab. Something was off about the seafood, it was not as moist as it should have been. Not sure if it was fresh, the taste was not right. I ordered a small Filet for dinner and was surprised to find my steak served in a pool of butter. I love butter but there is a point when it’s too much. My steak was drowning in butter. I can only assume that if they served my steak without the overabundance of butter I would have tasted a good steak, however the butter overwhelmed every bite. I was disappointed with our dinner and expected much more for the price point. I would return for cocktails but would definitely not stay for a meal with all the other exceptional Steakhouse options downtown. For a Steakhouse, the steak was not the star.

Can’t beat the bone in Filet Mignon. My wife’s wedge salad was spot on along with the spicy fried lobster appetizer: a must order.

Like every other Ruth’s Chris Steak House — absolutely superb. So perfect it is almost a religious experience.

We loved eating at this place several years ago and then it closed when the owner died. It reopened on 15th street(Franchise?) and we went there for our 25th anniversary. We will never return. We were seated in the«dining» area next to a table of 8 loud/drunk people who ruined our«romantic» dinner for two. This place obviously caters to the«convention» crowd and not to the locals who just want to have a great steak at a top restaurant. We couldn’t wait to leave(plus, they don’t pay for valet parking and there is no on street parking nearby!) So disappointed!

Ok let’s cut to the chase, 5 star steak house. Great food, excellent service… Lots of choices in Denver, but you can’t go wrong with this old stand bye. I had the bone-in ribeye and it was fantastic! Seafood tower was a hit with our group as are the sides. Great wine selection and décor to boot. Close to the Hyatt where we were staying. Nothing bad about the experience. Enjoy!

Very disappointed in all honesty. Service was on point. That much I’ll say. Very polite and respectful staff. But in all honesty the steaks were average. I always order the Filet no matter where I go. It’s one of the most tender fat free cuts. The Caesar salad was good. The sides were average. Now if this was a mid way priced restaurant I would probably give it 1 – 2 more stars. But for the price I was disappointed. I’m a Las Vegas local and eat out weekly. I know what good steak is. The Ruth in Vegas much better.

Happy Hour: 4:00 — 6:30PM on Weekdays! I always come here for happy hour, because it’s incredible deals! $ 8 Food = Spicy Lobster(normally costs like $ 20), Burger w/Fries, Steak Sandwich w/Fries, Seared Ahi Tuna, & more! Amazing price-to-value ratio. Ruth Chris falls short of a star simply because I’ve been to other steak restaurants & have had a better overall experience. I’ve had dinner here several times, & don’t get me wrong, it’s a great spot with great food & service, but it’s not the best in my opinion. I award Mastros Steakhouse with the top spot.

Where do I start… I guess I’ll start with the meat. I’ve eaten at several steak houses and Ruth Chris has my favorite piece of meat… cowboy ribeye, medium rare. If you like good food then you need to stop what you are doing and go now. I typically don’t get any sides but this time since I was with the fam we got a side of Mac and cheese plus lobster. Again, this didn’t disappoint and was deadly good. My mom got the crab cakes which were also good. You can beat a plate that comes out at 500 degrees with sizzling butter. In my book that is a win 100% of the time.

I’m giving 1 star because the service was good. Not amazing, but something comparable to I don’t know maybe an olive garden. However, this place will get no stars or recommendations from me in regards to their food. First off, I want to know is the chef depressed? Like, there was absolutely no love put in to my meal and the presentation… omg the presentation was absolutely horrendous. The filet and lobster… just kind of laid there in a pool of grease. I don’t even care to post a picture of it on Instagram or Facebook because it wouldn’t have the capability of making people want to lick their phone screen. What’s the point of giving this place free promotion if it doesn’t even hit the spot. My dessert tasted great, it was a raspberry cheesecake and it was the only thing with above average flavor to touch my pallette tonight. PS both my plates were dirty which was a turn off. Lobster was rubbery. Steak was super lame and soaked in lame sauce. I was just so not impressed with this place. I’m not trying to be mean, I really wanted to love this place. I’m just looking out for the consumer… you should probably just save the money and use it towards a Brazilian wax.

Never been impressed with this place for what you get. Fell like I’m always getting ripped off with the«a la cart» menu. The food is good, but you will pay for that and honestly you can find better places all over the city. The happy hour is good and cocktails are well made, but again this is a chain and I think it looses some of its charm. If you want consistency try it out, if you want adventure check out some of the new restaurants in town.

New Orleans standard in Denver. Old home week every time I visit. The Ruth Chris story is a great one. Denver staff is very accommodating. I eat at the bar regularly.

What can you say, the food is great. The service is great. And they are definitely a competitor in the local steakhouse scene. However, one thing on my last visit pushed them to 5 stars. We arrived early for our reservation and decided to have a drink in the bar while waiting for the rest of our party. Bartenders were awesome! Quick to take our order, they poured a perfect martini, and they even introduced themselves with a handshake while also asking our names– seriously?! Exceptionally nice touch. Now, the martini wasn’t just a great martini, perfectly dirty and cold. But, they are served in what may be the largest martini glass I’ve ever seen. As such, we were slightly milking our drinks so as to avoid a premature buzz. The bartenders noticed our drinks languishing and proceeded to get brand-new iced glasses from the freezer, and poured our approaching-room-temperature drinks into the new glasses– instant cool down! Brilliant! I have never been to a bar, anywhere, that attended to that kind of detail. No more room temperature martinis– hooray!!! You may be shaking your head, but if you’ve ever experienced the last few sips of a room temperature martini, you’ll know the thrill I experienced having it cold to the last drop. They even gave my husband more olives without him asking when they«refreshed» his drink into a new cold glass. This reason alone will bring me back to the bar for certain! The food was yummy– I think everyone has their personal opinions on steak so I won’t try to convince you it’s the best. In fact, my personal take is they over season their meat with salt and pepper, but this visit just reminded me to request it with less seasoning next time. Also, their«oscar» style includes an entire crabcake, not crab pieces– that was a little much for me. A fried crabcake on top of a steak sizzling in butter was richness overload– again, a personal preference. The service was flawless. The atmosphere polished and sophisticated. And they did a great job with the dining room by creating«rooms» behind glass walls so as to help break up the noise factor. All in all, absolutely a contender for one of the best steakhouses in Denver.
