I had smokestack while in Denver for the weekend and it was so delicious! I only wish they would come to where I live!

Was in Denver this past week visiting family, and happened upon the Smokestack 70 truck outside of a brewery. WOW! So impressed that I was compelled to write my first ever review on Unilocal(and I’ve been a member since ’09). Ordered the *#58″(nice ode to Chiefs legend Derrick Thomas!), a brisket sandwich with onion rings and creamy corn as my sides. The brisket was cooked to perfection; savory and smokey. The creamy corn was so delicious that I had to go order a second helping. Some friends I was with ordered the 3 little pigs(pulled pork sliders), and the the burnt ends. Everyone was drooling and raving. As an added bonus, the service was top notch. Not that it would matter with BBQ this good; the staff could be Soup Nazis and I would still go there. My only complaint is the food could have come out a little bit faster. But they were clearly slammed with orders as people seemed to come to the brewery just for this specific food truck. Next time I am in Denver, I will make sure to find the truck, wherever they are. Best KC style BBQ I ever have had outside of the holy land, hands down.

I happened upon this food truck one day while out running errands. I I am from Kansas City, and find it difficult to find good barbecue in Denver. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of barbecue smokestack 70 served. I had the pork sandwich, which was juicy and had an exquisite texture. Everything from the beans to the sauce was on point.

recently parked outside Fiction Beer, I enjoyed their pulled pork sandwich and cheesy corn side. The issue with the side was it was too small and really yummy. My boyfriend got the brisket with a side of beans and enjoyed that too. I would definitely eat from their truck when I see it around next.

Full disclosure, I am the owner’s little brother. I am also a huge BBQ snob having grown up in Kansas City. I know it’s lame but it’s true. Having said that, Smokestack70 is the best BBQ I’ve had outside of KC. Last night I tried the 3 Little Pigs(3 pulled pork sliders) and they were very, very tasty. Tonight I tried the burnt ends, one of my favorite BBQ dishes, and know I could be seen as biased but: They are THEBESTBURNTENDS I HAVEEVERHAD. That includes the ones I’ve had in KC which is famous for burnt ends. This truck is definitely worth trying if you ever have the opportunity.
