Fine service and coffee, but the atmosphere was quite strange. It feels sparse. Bare bones. To get another cup of coffee from the carafe you have to give your cup back to the barista to have it filled, a bit of a chore for both you and her. For the price of the coffee I would just head somewhere else, instead.

Here’s my issue with this place. 1. The lady with the sun glasses on, TAKEYOURSUNGLASSESOFF. I don’t want to order from someone who looks like they are hungover… and please show some enthusiasm… or just don’t come to work. I assume you are the boss, and you think you can do whatever you want, well you can’t. Its just plain unprofessional. Hell, starbucks at least has uniforms and the staff is always chipper. Get it together woman. 2. You have pastries… DON’T microwave them in front of me. Thats gross. If you insist on microwaving, at least us a professional, industrial style microwave(stainless steel). Don’t use a white, residential style one. Its a real turn off. Takes away from the illusion we are getting fresh pastries. That being said, what makes you better than the other coffee shops in the area? just something to think about. There are three starbucks within blocks of you and whole foods coffee. Frankly I like the atmosphere there better… Oh, and you guys are slow as hell… ppl want their coffee in a hurry.

I love supporting small and local coffee shops. This was a new stop late in the afternoon. There were a few tables taken by people with laptops so if you need to get some work done this is an option(there’s free Wi-Fi). As for me, I needed a few minutes to relax before work, there were great options for food and coffee; I went with the Nutella Mocha to try something new. It was delicious! Service was great: The staff was really welcoming and pleasantly cheerful in a non over-the-top way. They showed interest in my needs and were able to provide me with options and jokes. Décor is ok: Warm colors on the wall which I found soothing. Contemporary furniture, for the most far it’s comfortable. Scenic photographs are hung on the wall but nothing to get lost in.

It has been a few years since I have been in the place. Before you could get egg’s cooked like you want, some bacon, and toast to eat. Now the menu is all changed. Now they have just a few items, and I went with the Mile-Hi Burrito. Yuck! They should leave burrito making to the Mexican’s. It was bad. I didn’t even finish it. And before I could get a pot of Earl Grey Tea, but they didn’t have it this trip. They do have free Wi-Fi, which is why I went their in the first place years ago. They should go back to the old menu with egg’s, bacon, and toast. Guess I will have to find another place close by home to go for a good breakfast and get my internet now!

Their definition of a blueberry muffin and mine are very different. It’s very dry and it tastes a lot like cardboard. Hate to say it, but even Starbucks would have been a lot better. Of course the Elevation Coffee is great.

I try to support local businesses and this is a great alternative to that chain with the green sign that’s on every corner! Very friendly staff and they make a terrific macchiato! Have not tried food yet, but pastries look tasty!

If you’re looking for a small, non-chain, coffee spot, this is it. If you’re looking for a fast breakfast, this is not it. If you have the time to linger, this is perfect. If you’re in a rush, go to Starbucks.

For a coffee shop they have unbeatable food options and everything is made fresh to order. No frozen burritos here. Try the Mike Hi burrito. The food options also stretch across the entire day, wraps, blt and crepes. Kid friendly and very we’ll kept. Grab your favorite coffee and zip over to the beautiful Southmoor Park for a stroll or some playground time with the kids.

Is this place going down hill or something? I had the Nutella mocha which was lackluster and disappointing. I couldn’t taste any Nutella and the espresso was weak. When I told the barista that it didn’t taste right, all I got was an offer to add hazelnut syrup to it. Uh-no! That will destroy the foam; the drinks only saving grace. I also ordered the sweet cream cheese crêpe, which was not like what I had gotten previously. The filling was bland and really needed some salt and vanilla. The crêpe was rolled too tightly, making it difficult to cut with a fork, and no whipped cream! :( The pastry offerings have gotten ridiculously weak over the last year or so. What happened to all those delicious Russian and Polish nibbles and cakes??? All they had at 11:30 in the morning were some scones and muffins, and they didn’t look appetizing. This is my third visit to Sparks over the last year, and I don’t think I will be returning!

I wasn’t a fan of Sparks coffee until today… the new barista, Eric, makes an amazing coffee! I had a coconut cluster… white chocolate, dark chocolate, and coconut in the best latte I’ve had in forever! Not only did it taste amazing, it was beautiful with a dark chocolate etching on top! I think I’ve found my new coffee spot!

This place is great… not corporate, local spot to hang… I live, work, pray and drink my coffee on Hampden! Check it out… break free from SBucks and open ur coffee taste buds to a new horizon, give change a chance! You won’t be disappointed!

1st visit the Caramel Spark and latte were watered down. 2nd visit the coffee was better but the 2 Mile High Burritos were filled with uncooked, raw potatoes… not even edible. 2 burritos and 2 coffees for $ 25.

This place is really cute. I wouldn’t have known it was there but had a half off coupon. Really glad we tried it. The coffee and food was great. Yeah for a cute, new coffee shop in our area!

Great coffee, great service. Different chair heights and comfort levels cater to whatever your size and height. Also great for fighting Carpal Tunnel! One of the baristas randomly brought me a piece of organic Russian chocolate to enjoy while I was working. Completely random, but it’s the these types of things that differentiate a business from others.

Not a bad place but really confusing location. I almost went into the senior center next door. There are plenty of flavorings for your latte or coffee but I chose the turkish coffee. I almost thought I was back in Italy for one second until I finished the coffee and a thick paste of used grounds met my lips. Yuck. They do provide a shot of OJ with the turkish which is a nice touch. I guess its necessary to counterbalance the effects you may have from sipping coffee grounds when you’re finished with your coffee! The space itself is a quaint coffee shop with one TV, several seats for lunch and meals, and a few couches. Its not cozy and study worthy in my opinion but it may be a nice place to grab a quick bite.

The parking lot is a pain. The shop itself is kind of small. The staff were hit and miss; one paid attention to me(the one not taking my order) while the other one avoided me for some time. When I finally ordered I got the nutella latte. It was ok; nothing special, nothing terrible, which was disappointing. I am not sure if I’d try this shop again.

I love this place. The food is amazing and the people are A++. I’ve never been to a coffee shop that walks out to your table whether you only ordered an iced tea or you ordered lunch, and asks you how everything is. I LOVETHAT. Their coffee could be a tad stronger but overall this place is one of my favorites. As far as their space, its bright has a small couch and lots of tables great photography on the walls and its always clean. Its a little inconspicuous and the signeage out front would never have caught my eye if I wouldn’t have specifically looked for a coffee shop on Unilocal.I’m glad I found this place.

Based on the reviews, I thought I was going to adore this place but not so much. I pass it all the time on the way to the gym and decided stop in today after a workout. There were two other patrons there and two ladies working. They just stared at me while I was looking at the menu which made it really awkward so I went with my standard latte. They automatically got going to put it in a to go cup so I had to point out that I wanted it for there. Price is awesome for a small latte-$ 2.99 or so-you really can’t beat that. But it didn’t taste good-it was bitter, water down and smelled burnt. Usually I would complain but this place had an odd vibe to it and I just wanted to get out and go about my day. I won’t come back again.

I came here a couple of months ago with friends to nosh and knit. I’ve passed by the shop, but it’s in a difficult position for me to get to from my route in to work; however, I could stop here on the weekend. I was surprised at how nice it was inside. When I arrived, about 11-ish, the parking in the front was taken up, but there is parking along the side and in the back, which was helpful. I came inside and there were tables, lots of seating and some comfy couches and chairs as well. There appeared to be several electrical outlets too. Upon reviewing the menu for coffee, I was surprised to see how extensive their food offerings were for breakfast sandwiches and food. Since it was my first visit, I ordered a latte, per my usual, and a pastry and a cookie for later. I was very pleased with the coffee, as well as my pastry items. They had a large selection of tasty pastries and the coffee shop offers free wi-fi, as well. Service was good, not great. But it’s a coffee shop, so it all worked out fine for me. I can’t believe it took me this long to stop in for coffee. I need to go back.
