I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I came in here for a problem and he said he thought he knew what it was but he couldn’t help me. He instantly referred me to someone who could. I went back a few weeks later and he was, again, very straightforward and also funny. Gave me what I needed and also warned me of the precautions as I’d expect any doctor to do. He didn’t coddle me, he didn’t try to over medicate me, and he got me to the right specialist who could diagnose and fix my problems. Sounds exactly like what I want from a doctor. I’ll be back next time any of my stomach problems flare up. Thank you Dr. Burrows!

If you want to be treated like a human being and with respect DONOTGOSEE this AWFUL doctor. I have bladder incontinence and an issue with my bowels and scheduled an appointment to see him through Zoc Docs. There is definitely a reason why he has so many appointments available… I was running late to my appointment because of parking and my bladder incontinence. When I walked in «Dr.» Burrows was actually yelling in the reception area about me being 15 minutes late and how he would just have to make it work. When he realized that I was standing right there he tried to make small talk about traffic and said he would have to basically rush through me. I walked out in tears and will never return to his office. This could have easily been handled by me rescheduling if it was that much of a bother. He is rude, insensitive, and should not be in a profession that strives to help others. I have seen many doctors and he has by far been the rudest one. Do yourself a favor and really consider all of his negative reviews on Zoc Docs. If you want to be treated with respect find another Gastro doctor. This guy is an absolute waste of your time.

As a health care provider, I have referred patients, friends and family to Dr. Burrows for the past several years(mainly based on location and ease of getting an appointment). Their feedback has been consistent: that his bedside manner is dismissive and arrogant. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until I went to see him myself. He is all of the above. He asked me little about my condition, rarely made eye contact(as he was more focused on his laptop), and did not even perform an exam. He also recommended an expensive test for me to have done. When I asked him how the result would affect my treatment plan, and he said it wouldn’t, I really felt like I was wasting my time. What was even more disappointing is that he conducted himself this way while being shadowed by a medical student. What a poor example he is setting for these future professionals. I write this not to vent, but with the hope that he takes this feedback to heart and adjusts his practices for the better. On a positive note, the front desk staff is very kind and courteous.
