Only, for sure, delivery with a dinner special menu on the weekends. All of our other local chinese, don’t even do lunch specials during the weekend…

Called five minutes from the road. They had it for me in five minutes. They were awesome. Great customer service place is very clean and centrally located. I would deathly go back again.

First time here and so pleased we found it. This is like a hole in the wall, food was very reasonably priced, and tasted great too. The crab rangoon was a little dry and may have been sitting around a bit but the rest of the food was marvellous. Large portions. I had the lemon chicken and my partner had the happy family, both were awesome of equal quality to more expensive restaurants. It is convenient to take way from the restaurant or they have a sit down area with quite a lot of spaces. This is not The Ritz but it is clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. One lunch is actually 2 portions so I will be enjoying the leftovers for my lunch tomorrow. Yum!

Definitely not my favorite place I don’t think the veggies are very fresh everything tastes pretty fishy as well it’s definitely an OK place if you’re in a hurry and on the go

I have ordered delivery twice from Sun Wah in the last couple of months. The first time, I had General Tso’s chicken(sub fried rice), and tried some of my girlfriend’s lo mein, both of which impressed me. There was a lot of flavor in the food, a good sweet heat to the chicken and the noodles were tasty as well. The second time, which was last night, was a wholly different experience. We ordered Gen. Tso’s with fried rice again, but with some egg rolls, and steamed wontons. The dumplings had a powder sprinkled all over(MSG? Bonito? It was EXTREMELY salty), they came in a box with goopy brown liquid, and had zero texture. I couldn’t eat them from the gross overuse of salt. The egg rolls were disappointing as well — soft, undercooked dough and flavorless filling. No homemade sauce, just a packet of duck sauce to cover it. Crab wontons included with the Gen. Tso’s were similar. Same story with the chicken: overdone, chewy, too much breading on the meat, no spice. The only thing that was consistently decent on both orders was the fried rice. I was excited to try Sun Wah again after my first order from them, but to say this was a disappointment is generous. Two stars, only because of my first experience there.

Excellent Chinese food for a reasonable price! The food is excellent, my friends and i have ordered beef fried rice, kung pao chicken, pepper steak, sweet and sour pork, egg rolls and much more. We loved all of it! We requested delivery one night, they said they’d be at our apartment in 45 minutes, and they actually were here in exactly 28 min from the time i called! Overall, we’re very happy with this restaurant and will be making it our weekly Chinese food spot! Best chinese food in denver, by far!

This was my first time here and I was pleased. I give it 5 stars more for the customer service than the food(though the food was delicious as well). I had the lo mein, ribs, and sesame chicken wings(soo addicting)!! The food was fast and fresh.

We used to order from here a lot before I found a mealworm in my fried rice. Needless to say I haven’t ordered from here since, and I’ve given up on Chinese food for a while. There are other places to try that aren’t so bad that are a little farther away and taste much fresher than this place. Take your money elsewhere and enjoy some Chinese without the bugs.

This place has pretty mediocre reviews, but last night I was discussing it with my boyfriend and we realized that probably means it is the best Chinese restaurant in Denver because so far we have tried many of the«best Chinese Food in Denver» restaurants and they have pretty much all sucked or been meh at best. Sun Wah has duck sauce and also chicken rice soup which both cause unheard of confusion at most Chinese restaurants I go to here. For those of you who are from Denver or other parts of the midwest and don’t know what chicken rice soup is, I will explain it. You take a plastic takeout container, eithe pint or quart size. Then you put in some chicken broth, some white rice, a few pieces of shredded chicken, and a couple scallion slices for garnish. Then you say here you go customer here is some chicken rice soup that will be $ 1.95-$ 5.00 depending on size and what type of restaurant it is. That is all I want. Thank you Sun Wah for making it happen. FYI, in other cities, it’s not always on the menu but since it is literally some chicken broth and rice they will usually make it for you and call it a day instead of telling you it’s impossible to make.

Ordered delivery from here last night. Overall the food was really well seasoned and the portions were generous! We had the Teriyaki Beef and the BBQ ribs. It was actually much better than some of the other Chinese restaurants we’ve ordered from around the Denver area. They delivered in record timing also! I’ll definitely be ordering again for the convenience of this location being just down the street and because the food was delish!

The food had an amazing flavor very fresh. I got the Mongolian beef. but it was like a voyage trying to find the little amount of meat they put in the entrees. Should change the name to the Mongolian vegetables.

I’m kinda shocked how this place isn’t 5STARS they are freaking fast, not just good but great food and how is it that the Chinese place(next to a empty shut down Safeway building) has better English communication skills than most pizza places?!? This place is a small piece of gold for those living in its delivery zone.

Fast, locally owned… Great place for some good greasy Chinese! We live close and go here a couple times per month. Their beef and broccoli was especially good with some extra spice.

Not too shabby at all! It was raining freezing cold rain and I wanted some Chinese food– sunwahhhhhhh’s general Tso’s chicken meal and a large cup of chicken ad rice soup! HUGE portions and very full flavors await you at this Chinese destination in south east Denver! For the money it was most definitely worth it — I’m a big man and I couldn’t finish my meal! The soup had to be saved for munchies or leftovers and so did about half my meal!

What can I say really good cheap Chinese food!!! The small size container is like a large size at other Chinese restaurants.

I’ve tried to like Sun Wah. I really have. Tonight was my last try. My husband ordered the sesame wings and I ordered the spicy wings. They were inedible. We both ate about 4 or 5 and ended up tossing the rest in the trash. $ 20 gone down the drain. I’m back on the hunt for great Chinese food in Denver.

Cheap, fast, close, and good! What more can you ask for in a strip mall chinese restaurant? It’s been around since I moved here 9 years ago, so it’s definitely got staying power. We had the kung pao chicken which packed some heat and a lot of flavor. I think Sun Wah is a great place for take out or just a low-cost good meal!

Definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. If you want some quick, cheap, and fast Chinese cuisine, I would definitely recommend this place. The portions are pretty big and you definitely get your money’s worth. Take this place for what it is, its Chinese fast food. It isn’t the quality of Jing(and you aren’t paying the price either) and it DAMNSURE isn’t the quality of a $ 1 a scoop Chinese restaurant(and you aren’t paying the price in the bathroom afterwards)

Cheap and fast is rarely good and unfortunately Sun Wah is far from good. If you are looking for something to quiet a ravenous hunger and neither flavor nor ingredients matter this place will do the trick. If you are looking for quality ingredients and genuine flavors don’t stop. It is very unfortunate that the vast majority of strip mall Chinese food joints don’t seem to care. I know this place has been around for a long time and a lot people in the surrounding area think of it as their go to Chinese restaurant, but if you have any experience with genuine Chinese food it is obvious that this is not it. I wish they cared and I wish it was better. There are barely any good Chinese food restaurants in Denver. I will say that they do not mess up the frozen dumplings that they heat up and sell. That and the fried chicken are pretty good. Maybe dumplings and fried chicken could be the new chicken and waffles???
