Great little dive bar with good vibes and a good atmosphere. The owners were the friendliest and warmest couple. Tim greeted me with a handshake and a cold one. I’ll be coming back to support this little gem!

This could very well be the coolest, hippest, friendliest, most funnest(yes, I wrote most funnest) dive bar on Santa Fe! Talk about a good time — we had so much fun we can back twice in one night. By all means — check this place out the next time you are in the neighborhood. You won’t be sorry that you did. Well, unless you suck at life, then we don’t want you here anyway. First off — the two owners are just the cutest couple you could ever want to encounter. They run the bar with a lot of love and kindness. I don’t even care that it’s a bit pricey cuz you get what you pay for: an excellent time. It’s personable customer service at its best. The physical space is clearly old but it’s well kept and not crazy dirty like some other places around town. The décor follows that of the Aztlan Theater which has an Aztec flare. It’s very cool. We’re talking lots of spaces to sit, black and white checkered floors, space for dancing, room for drinking and an area specifically set up for live music. Perhaps one of the best aspects of this bar is the entertainment. There is local live music going on. I don’t think I can ask for anything more! The clientele is friendly, the pours are heavy(and so is the Budweiser), the music is loud, the lights are low. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Cheap drinks, great music, friendly people. Tim and Aurora are the best people. On the first Friday of every month during the summer there is a block party type art walk and those nights always end here. They have the same band on those nights and they do not fail on putting on a show. They play blues/rock with a little Latin flavor and you should definitely bring your dancing boots.

A Chicano Cheers kinda bar. To the right of the Aztlan Theatre, there’s a bar run by the owners Tim and Aurora; who are amazingly kind, warm and friendly. They’ve owned this place for over 40 years and still serve up a cold one with a smile. This is a hole in the wall type of joint and you’ll find a good mix of hipsters, tejanos, and chicanos all in the same place. If you’re looking for specialty drink bar that’s going to make your uppity cosmo drink, this ain’t that kinda joint. It’s basically cheap beer /wine and backyard margaritas. We came down to the Santa Fe district with the First Fridays in Denver’s Art Walks. Food trucks and art make for a good night but none of the art galleries had booze. We walked down a few blocks and there was a man that invited us in. Not gonna lie, I thought it was totally sketch at first with some dude in a leather jacket inviting me into a place that’s got curtains in the doorway. We walked in and Tim was behind the bar, he offered us up his version of a margaritas(pink lemonade and booze) and a wine(some bartles and jaymes knock off). His wife came over to talk with us a little bit to give us some history of the place and to ask us our story. It was like my grandma and grandpa were serving up beverages and smiles … can’t beat that. We walked out of the place with 4 drinks(2 wines /2 margs) costing us $ 15. Given the location and the night, it could have been a lot more and I’m grateful for ppl who still serve it up old skool. Also, I don’t think they serve food here and there’s live music inside the bar that’s set up in a corner of the place. I’d drive out of my way to go back here … it’s a one ofthe best low end /no frills bars out there. with personalized service.
