We were actually going to another bar that had good ratings on Unilocal but this bar looked like a cozy atmosphere so we went there instead. Do glad we made the diversion to go to The Elm. We had such a good time! What a great neighborhood bar! The wings were awesome. The service was great! We will be back.

I went into this place tonight and they wouldn’t serve me. I wasn’t drunk, I wasn’t unruly they simply treated me like I wasn’t there. Never going back.

The Elm is a local, neighborhood pub. The food will not blow your socks off, but the service is super friendly and fast. Bonus: it’s a Red Sox pub! My hubs and his family hail from New England, so when we walked in and saw Red Sox games on the TVs and Red Sox memorabilia all over the walls(including a Yankee Haters baseball hat), game over. Hook, line, sinker. We went after a long day of unpacking at our new house. A few beers, a quesadilla, and two burgers later, we were satiated. The burgers aren’t crazy fancy, but they get the job done. I will say that our sides of fries were a bit skimpy, but all in all, job done well. The hubs ordered the Green Monster burger, which came with green chili(and an egg I think!). Bottom line: we’ll be back. The servers who took our orders and chatted with us were friendly and helpful. We got our food very quickly, and at least we know we can always find the Sox game here. Plus, the place is cool. Lots of wood, big bar, and pieces of character throughout.

Nothing fancy just great food and cold beer. Went with a group of four. My husband ordered the fish and chips, he gave it the thumbs up. It sure looked delish, a golden crisp breading and big portions. I ordered the buffalo burger, it was smothered in buffalo sauce, topped with blue cheese and chopped jalepenos. My burger was a definite 5 stars. My cousin order the cabbage rolls, I tried one. Those are really tasty too. I would definitely come back here. Really good eats!

This is definitely a place we usually take out from, as we live pretty close but we do love the Boston hometown feel. They have narrowed down their menu the last couple months and I think it shows in the quality of the food. More time to focus on doing things well! If you want the best smoked wings in all of Denver, you will find them here.

Went in last night for dinner with my husband. The service was good, and sitting on the patio outside is wonderful, we played pool. I had the classic burger, and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. We split our meals, so we could both get a taste of each delicious entrée. The burger was amazing, and I love a good burger. The pulled pork was equally as amazing. Had a nice smoked taste, hard to find that in pulled pork around here. Out ticket came to $ 22 before the tip. Great deal for two people! My husband was very happy, as well was I. Yes. Yum! Live right down the street. We Will have to become regulars here.

The Elm is a great sports bar type place for a low key get together with friends. It is reasonably priced, has friendly service, and has some extra things you can do like play pool while you wait for food. The food is awesome for bar type food. Highly recommend the burgers. Green Monstah is the best! We live in the neighborhood and are glad to have this close by. We’ll be back!

I have mixed reviews about the Elm due to my last experience there. The other few times I have been to the Elm, I’ve had nothing but great food, great service, and decently priced drinks. The last time went there, though, about a week ago… the same could not be said. 1.) Their menu changed. They don’t have the daily food specials anymore on their menu, it seems to be much shorter, and the prices seem to be higher. I loved the Elm because their previous menu had great options for great prices. Now. it seems like every other place. 2.) The service the last time I went there was SOBAD. I had to go inside to get a waitress just so we could still get a drink on happy hour price. She seemed to be a little upset about this because, after she took our drink order and brought it to the table, she proceeded to come back to our table nearly 20 minutes after to take our food order. In the meantime? She was a few tables away, munching on her friend’s food, making a few glances at our table, but not even coming by. I don’t care if your friends are in your place of work and you want to hang out and talk to them, but please do so after you serve your customers. Also, I have worked in a restaurant before and while I personally don’t care if you are eating on the job, others may care a bit when they see you eating finger foods and then coming to their table right after. On a side note, the atmosphere is chill and you can sit on the patio, smoke cigs, and play pool. I’ve never sat inside. Get the old menu back!!!

Met up with a fellow Unilocaler — Misha, at her suggestion, for burgers. I drive past this place on a regular basis but never stopped in. I ordered the Green Monstah — very tasty. The green chili that tops it had the perfect blend of heat and flavor. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The folks working there are friendly and accommodating. I could see this place being put on the«regular» list.

We’ve been going to the Elm for a while now. We loved it cause the burgers were cheap and you got a decent thing for the price. It was not high end, but it was tasty pub food. They just rolled out this new menu. Higher prices for the same food. Added some absurd items like a lobster roll for $ 18.50– what??? Not too happy with the Elm right now. The food is NOT worth the higher prices. The servers expressed that they didnt know why the menu had changed so much. It was clear that someone at the top had made a decision to be in competition with the Chop Shop across the street. Hate to say it Elm, but the food at Chop Shop is high quality and is now equal in price point with you. If people have to choose, they will choose the chop shop for a burger for $ 11. Don’t try to be something you’re not. Be the local pub with the moderately priced burgers and great pub food and specials. Also, we went for dinner a week ago and it was trivia night. While I love that you do pub things like trivia, is it really necessary to BLAST it in the ears of your customers? We left because we couldnt hear each other talk. Just some feed back!

3 stars is so wrong. Now, if u want hipsters with weird hats, stupid waxed mustaches, skinny jeans, and disaffected looks… Then, yes, 3 stars. Otherwise, hand patted burgers, ice cold beers, a bunch of super cool chicks running the joint, and a loyalty to bean town is what ur in for. Mommy, my mustache!!!

Nice corner bar with street parking only. Has an outside covered patio with a pool table and lots of TV’s. Service was just okay; happy hour seemed like a good deal for Denver area. Somewhat of a dive bar, except they have nice bathrooms. Sports on every TV which is good or bad, depending why you’re there. I went for a happy hour catch up with an old friend — so sometimes the yelling at the TV was obnoxious, but I get it. Ordered quesadilla app(normal order is just cheese folded into a tortilla) so we added on veggies and chicken. Yummy stuff! Cant say Ill be back since Im up in Longmont, but a good find none the less!

My friends and I visited here for the first time last night, three of us are new to Colorado and we brought two friends from out of town. It was such a cool, laid back place to hang out. Beers were never less than half full before our kind waitress Gabby brought us refills, which were a steal because of the great late night happy hour, which goes on all week, and a different special happens on weekends. We were playing Heads Up and cackling so loud and never felt unwelcome by the staff. We will definitely be back here. If you’re looking for a chill hang out spot, this is it.

I’m glad we didn’t read the reviews from the last few months before we went. We really enjoyed the food. We are exploring places in our new neighborhood so we thought we’d try the Elm which friends had said was good for a drink. Pretty empty for a Saturday night but we liked the food menu. I’ll say I can see how the service doesn’t get the best reviews but we really liked our food. I had the Thai Chicken salad(which does not need a side dressing). Knowing I run a risk with some bars ordering a salad, I was plesantly surprised with delicious sweet chili dressing. My boyfriend enjoyed a BBQ sandwich. The servers share tables which is usually a good indicator that service will be spotty which it was but they were friendly enough, just not if you’re in a hurry. I will say the music was turned up really loud to hard metal music; so loud we debated leaving at some point(we listen to fairly loud music and go to a lot of shows so this is saying something). As our meal arrived the music became a little lighter and quieter and it was amazing how our attitudes immediately changed. We will definitely give it another shot and will certainly go for food.

I visited The Elm on a whim this weekend to have lunch with a friend. I really enjoyed the décor and the booth seating. The servers were very friendly and seemed to always be buzzing around from table to table. When my friend arrived, we decided to order some drinks to start. I noticed they had a pretty good happy hour deal of $ 4 Deep Eddy flavored drinks. I ordered a Cosmopolitan with regular flavored vodka to start. It was pretty strong and I almost cringed each time I sipped on it. After braving the first one, I ordered the same thing, only with Deep Eddy’s cranberry flavored vodka instead of the original. It tasted worlds better, and was actually enjoyable. My friend was hungrier than I was and decided to order the original cheeseburger while I ordered chips, salsa and guacamole. Halfway through waiting for our order, I noticed our order sitting at the counter in the kitchen under the heat lamps for at least 5 – 7 minutes before getting delivered to our table. It was kind of irritating seeing our order in plain sight and watching all the different servers buzz around it and no one taking a minute to deliver it. Either way, when the food arrived to the table it was dismal at best. The burger looked a lot better than the brown salsa and brown, spotty guacamole. I decided to taste it and it tasted exactly how it looked. I decided to eat the chips and leave the sides alone for the rest of the meal. I took a bite of my friends burger and it wasn’t too bad, certainly a lot better than my choice. I’d visit The Elm again for drinks sometime, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering their food again anytime soon.

Ok 5 stars is probably overkill but honestly, the food was good and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the place. I went recently with a group of 9 people and we all enjoyed our food. The food came out piping hot and was tasty considering that it’s pub food. I’m not really sure what’s with the bad reviews. The fish and chips were great(could have used a few more chips though :)), the bacon on the burgers was awesome, the smothered tatertots were delicious, and the loaded hot dogs were humongous. I would go back.

Loved it here! Fantastic atmosphere. I have been once late at night for drinks on the patio in the summer, can’t remember the price of the drinks but it was enjoyable. Last week I went here to finally try the food. The friend I was with got a traditional burger(we love their toppings) and said the beef was dry :(But I got a chicken burger with bacon and blue cheese and LETMETELLYOU. Maybe the best bacon I’ve ever tasted. And it melds so well with the chicken. Maybe chicken burgers are their specialty? I don’t know. But it was delicious. Also get the green chili tots. You won’t be disappointed and it is a huge portion to share with someone!
