Got the beer can chicken and overall the flavors are good but it tasted like it was microwaved. The chicken was warm on the outside but cold in the middle. The rice was also cold. Will try something that is freshly prepared next time.

I like this place. Decent food(lots of options), good amount of tvs, nice patio area, good second bar, and reasonable prices.

Stopped for dinner before going to the Ave Theatre for a show. The Tavern was one of several restaurants in the area who had lost their power and it just came back on. Subsequently, they were only serving pizza and salads. That’s cool. We split a Pear, gorgonzola & walnut salad which was fresh, tart and zesty. We also had a small Margherita pizza which was melty, gooey and fresh. The problem with the power made no impact on the taste or appearance of the food and I was grateful. My only quibble with this place is the noise level which was a bit much for our mood but if you are hanging with friends and having a beer, it might be just the ticket.

Reservation made for 8 people. Restaurant called to confirm the day before. Walked in, we were not greeted, when I approached staff they said they did not have our table ready(or reserved) but the place was 20% full. «Go walk around and tell us where you’d like to sit.» Strange. Appearance was dirty, disorganized. Super loud TV’s. Walked right across the street and had a lovely dinner with good service at Steuben’s.

Well been sitting here for 15 minutes now and still no service. However I am staying until I get an overpriced bottle for $ 6.

The calzone is surprisingly great. It was so good that I ordered it again to takeout the other night. I also enjoy their patio on a nice night.

I was really pleasantly surprised with this place. I thought I was in a New Orleans courtyard for a second. I came for a PPC Meetup and Excel code demo. What a great night!

Yeah, no. We were a party of 6. We called ahead to confirm that the New York Giants preseason football game would be broadcast. They said it would. As it turns out, they were not broadcasting it at all. We let the server know we were disappointed about the game misinformation and he basically shrugged. Nice to know you care, buddy. We ordered sliders, pretzels, buffalo eggrolls, spinach artichoke dip and chicken lettuce wraps. All of it was marginal(the sliders and lettuce wraps were the best of the bunch). But the real nail in the coffin was the fact that he came over to the table at 7:01 to let us know that we had missed last call for happy hour and wondered if we wanted any full priced drinks when 4 out of the 6 of us had empties for the last 10 minutes. Apathy and mediocrity. See first line of this review. That is all.

I just stopped in for a drink and to watch the UFC fight, so I cannot comment on the food, but the service was excellent. This place is a sportsbar with the feel of sitting in a friends basement. Leather couches, a fireplace, a patio… I’m In love. I will return and try the food next time.

Met a bunch of my local friends here for Sunday lunch. The Volcano burger was awesome and they have a huge choice of sides. On Sundays burgers come with a free draft bud, but be sure and ask for it cause the waiter didn’t offer. Great outdoor patio, and nice staff as well!

I did give Uptown Tavern another chance after my previous bad experience. Sadly, the service is still very poor. I love their location, their patio atmosphere and some of their food items, like their fried pickles… yum! But they still need to improve customer service unfortunately… :(

I’ve been here several times over the course of the past year, most recently last week, and overall have had good experiences. If my review was based solely upon my latest experience, it would have been a 4-star review. But, law of averages leads me to give this place a 3. The location is great, right in the heart of the 17th street Uptown corridor, and the space is well suited to groups of all sizes. A bar, tables and a room with couches makes up the indoor space; the outdoor space consists of an enclosed tented area(what I call the smoking room) in the winter, and a great patio space, complete with open seating and lights that create a nice ambiance at night, in the warmer months. Various parts of the establishment can be reserved. In fact, one of my meetup groups used to gather here monthly, but we’ve since switched to a different spot since our last experience was subpar.(Short story: we had reserved the room with couches only to arrive and be told it was«not open» for the night. After a bit of a wait, they were able to accommodate us in a different area, but since trivia was going on, we weren’t able to talk over the loudspeaker — which makes for a bad bookclub.) Food is generally good. I tend to get the grilled fish tacos, but have also had the salmon, calamari, basket of fries, and probably some other veggie dish I’m forgetting. Cocktail and beer selection is good; wine selection is okay. I do like that they have both happy hour and, when that ends, a «Colorado Twilight» deal that gives you $ 1 off all CO adult beverages. What makes me give it 3-stars is the service. It’s very erratic. Last week, it was great. Our server was attentive, always following up on how we liked our drinks, our apps, our food. But other times I’ve been here it’s been mediocre at best and at times downright poor. I obviously find myself going back, and probably will in the future, but if they could get the service department under control, it would be a more consistently pleasant experience.

I had previously dined at the Tavern in Washing Park and was hugely disappointed but I had some friends over at the Uptown establishment, and decided I would give it another go. Great location with a nice casual bar feel to it. TVs everywhere, great patio, and they even had a backroom where my friends and I got to indulge in a some friendly competition with little corn hole, foosball, and shuffle board. Great place to watch a game with friends! I don’t know what regular brunch hours are but by 1:00 their brunch specials were over, bottomless mimosas and the Bloody Mary bar more specifically, which was early compared to other brunches I had previously been to. I was still craving a bloody so I ordered one, and what a poor decision that was. The drink was watered down and had an almost chunky tomato feel to it, no real flavor. The food was pretty standard for a bar, with everyone either getting a sandwich or a burger. I got the BLTA that was pretty basic but no real complaints(can’t really mess that one up). Lastly, the service started off pretty poorly, but finished strong. After being seated, we did not receive waters nor menus for the first 20 minutes. I was agitated enough that I suggested we move to another restaurant. Luckily after the introductory mishap our waitress was very attentive and did a great job. You have to take this establishment for what it is, a place to get together with friends for a sporting event or for after work beers. I wouldn’t return to this establishment for the food or drinks, rather I would return for the atmosphere. I must say though the uptown restaurant was a way more pleasurable experience than that of their Washington Park location.

I had to stop by and update after coming by at least 30 times. The food here is actually pretty solid but still just bar food outside of a great brunch with 10.50 bottomless mimosas and killer skillets. My friends love the wings I love the local vibe even though it is part of a huge restaurant group. One thing I would mention is they do have a TON of specials so it can get a little confusing for the patrons and the staff. They will limit their menus during special events as well but management here always goes above and beyond to help even when we roll in a giant group and stuff like that keeps me coming back.

Bloody Mary bar is great! The drinks and food are priced a little on the high side for what you get but it is decent bar food. But to have Mac and cheese for 14.50 is laughable unless there is lobster in it. Word to wise stay away from the rib tips my buddy ordered them… Nasty not edible but they did take them off the tab. Good place to watch games with friends but they leave the patio door open and the smoke comes in so if that bothers you may want to go elsewhere. Used to come here a lot years ago and it is pretty much the same, decent staff and decent place. Not my favorite but not a bad option by any means.

This place is noticeably less-young than the downtown location, and I liked it much better for it. Came here for a group happy hour where they had the back room reserved for us. Upon walking through the joint, I noticed that they appear to have boatloads of TVs and two full bars which would be really nice to take advantage of on a game day. I wouldn’t say this would be my go-to watering hole if it were in my neighborhood, but it’s huge and good for groups. Parking was a little rough, but that’s not their fault. It’s Uptown, so you just gotta deal.

Very large place with indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of TV’s which make it a good spot for football Sunday. The food is pretty good but a little pricey for what it is. My volcano burger and fat tire beer was $ 20 before tip. Also, in bad weather, the outdoor seating won’t do the job. Not the place I would suggest when deciding where to go but certainly an option. Just get there early because it does fill up with football fans.

Tavern Uptown is great for Sunday football watching. Most of my visits to Tavern Uptown revolve around Sunday football watching, so my review is geared in that direction. The Tavern Uptown has a great outdoor/indoor back area that is a great place to hang out all year round as well. Complete with TV’s. Each Sunday, every TV will have a small card next to it showing what games will be televised on each TV. Get there early so you can get a prime spot where your team will be. They have an area with a couch and large chairs that is great for mingling for most of Sunday. There is a big flat screen on the wall in front of the couch and the area can easily view other games. The Tavern has a good menu for brunch. It is not the typical bar menu, but a real brunch. The Country Skillet is amazing and my usual choice. It comes with two meats, sausage and bacon, sausage gravy, potatoes and a few veggies. Bottomless mimosas are around $ 10 and go until 1pm. After 1pm, they have $ 3.50 Bud/Bud Light drafts. During brunch they also have a great Bloody Mary bar and a coffee bar.

Love this place. We’ve been to both the Uptown and Littleton locations and have yet to find a better place to watch the Broncos game on a Sunday — besides the actual stadium. Favorite foods — pizza rolls and boneless buffalo wings! These are only a dollar apiece on Sundays! If you make it before 1pm for brunch definitely get the sticky rolls! Also, during bronco games they have a bunch of fun raffles, play squares and things like that. It’s a fun atmosphere; however, better get here early if you want a table during the game. Most people don’t move once they’ve gotten here during a game.

Uptown Tav has an alright atmosphere with a huge patio. They have plenty tvs and areas to watch multiple game. Going there to drink with a group of friends and watch a game, it’s ok. Patio is great but smoke gets ridiculous. If you are however looking for food or good service, PASS. Once you finally get your food the fries are sugary, burgers and chicken sandwiches alright but pretty much expect underwhelming bar food. Which is too bad I think it was much better year ago and has kinda gone down hill.
