Just moved to South Broadway. Super happy with Go Fish. Nice chill atmosphere, amazing Dynamite appetizer and the sushi for 2 was awesome. They even customized it to what I wanted(some Tako). Brandon was super friendly and engaging. Had us feeling extra comfortable From the moment we sat down. Sushi was fresh, cold and delicious. I would totally come back and invite the friends along. Great sushi spot on S Broadway!

This is the worst bar experience I’ve ever had in Denver. The lady(short black hair, pudge face) didn’t accept my ID because it was vertical. This was after she misread it for a minors. She had an attitude and gave us the feel that we weren’t welcomed. My boyfriend is a manager of three restaurants and bartender. He was so disgusted that he just walked out. I’m putting this review on Unilocal because no one deserves to be treated like they’re in the wrong place, or that there is false evident to make them feel suspicious. If you value customer service + a more less racial environment, you should pass this place up!

Asshole bouncer wouldn’t let my friend in because he said that he didn’t like the ID he had. It was a legit California ID you dick. Glad I never spent any money here and don’t ever plan to now… Too bad cause I love live music. Don’t love giving assholes my money though

Mondays: Panties At The Bar They do a great burlesque show here on Monday nights for $ 5 cover or no charge if you come in wearing just your knickers. The clientele here can be interesting and highly entertaining at times. Drinks are moderately priced with good pours and the bartenders are nice. I’ve come here on other nights and it’s a bit of a rockabilly bar IMO. Not my thing. I’ll just come here when I feel like watching some burlesque.

Hoppin place. This was the very first place I came to after flying into Denver. Met up with a buddy here. There was a comedy show happening and(I think only once before) have been to a comedy show. I hate laughing and fun upsets me. But, I figured it would be nice to meet him here and have a drink and listen to some funny(and unfunny) people. Man, one guy was just terrible and just yelled the whole time. But I did get a sense that most of the comics were of the post GenX era, as a lot of references seemed quite specific to my teenhood. There were many pool tables there, the space is pretty large and is able to accommodate for shows nicely. The bar is big too, with a good selection on the tap. It was pretty crowded, and I don’t feel as though it would be the sort of place I would like to frequent or come in on a regular basis. If there’s a show of some kind I think I would be content to go.

I have only been for the burlesque night a couple times, which is five dollars and features amateur and professional performers. The five dollar entry does not tip them, so when they bring around the hat, throw some money in, those costumes are expensive. I have never seen a show here, but they do have music, so no word on the sound. I would classify this as a dive bar, and a cool place to lurk. The burlesque happens every Monday night, and is a great distraction from boredom, this event has been going on for many years. The bartenders here are entertaining, and awesome. The crowd at the burlesque events are chatty, and you might even make a new acquaintance, they also sell posters during burlesque night. Me likey!

Three kings is a great bar to stop into if you are hopping around Broadway. They have a stage for live music, friendly staff, and a good selections of food and drinks. No rooftop unfortunately so not my favorite place for the summer.

3Kings is amazing. My first review is about it as a music venue. But, as a bar, it’s top notch. I just sat and talked about Greece austerity, the reasonableness of the euro, and the importance of child protective services. All over some nice gin and tonics served by MF Ruckus’s lead singer. We wrapped up the discussion with a real amazing comparison on the importance of community. As I drove home, I realized how much 3Kings itself is about community. Pretty rad.

On Friday night I was sitting at the bar buying a older gentleman that frequents several other s Broadway haunts a beer It must have been shift change as the blond waitress that served us walked towards the back a laid a big wet one on the male bartender coming on It was Open mic night n the poor comic completing his set bombed and I casually commented to my fellow patron that the comic wasn’t funny the bartender coming on went into a rant at me and displayed he has no business being in the so called«Hospitality» business I would justly categorize him as possibly the biggest dick I’ve encountered in many years I’ve been to this bar on several occasions and had great service and comradely. That being said I will not patronize this establishment again as there are way too many neighboring options who employ cordial servers

I’ve been mixed on 3 Kings for years now, it’s not that I’m the oldest bastard in there(I never cared) or that the goings-on tend to be noisy(it’s a bar, get over it), it just boils down to a few things: Pros: Location — awesome place and within walking distance of a dozen other great watering holes with tons of character. Beers — great selection of awesome libations, I expect nothing else from Denver SoBo. Interior — divey, yes. But arthouse cinema on the screens behind the bar? YESPLEASE! Cons: Sometimes the clientele. Yeah I know this is a horrid thing to say, but a few of you regulars know EXACTLY what and whom I am talking about. The aggro«I wanna fight» morons, the drunk rockabilly«someone take me seriously please» loudmouths, all the stereotypes that made SoBo mildly interesting ten years ago and just irritating as all hell now seem drawn to 3 Kings like moths to a bugzapper. I do dig this place, I have no real quarrels. I will be back to soak in the vibe, but it doesn’t take much these days to annoy me into moving on, and there are plenty of sublimely cool options very very nearby.

I have been here over the years so many times, yet haven’t reviewed it as a place to hangout… DUH, I have enjoyed myself everytime. It’s not the place to go if you aren’t interested in interesting crowds or loud music! This place has an interesting rock ambiance, but it’s drowning at the deep end… I mean, this place is a dive bar! Enter at your own risk!

Visited this classic south Broadway dive bar last Saturday, for some ear piercing live music. This bar has character, but the beer is lukewarm, and they may be out of your favorite locally brewed beer The bar is spacious. There is a couple of pool tables and a mixture of pinball and arcade games. No ambiance, just dive. Great stage and dance floor. Great place for live music. After reading other reviews and hearing a comment from another patron, I was afraid of the bathroom, so I avoided it. Good place to go for live performances, and warm beer, but don’t expect anything else.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m just as at home in the sh*ttiest dive as I am at the Hotel Teatro but this place was odd. Really odd vibe. Like, «We should blow a few lines then go to the Three Kings» odd. My company and I had shown up for the open mic comedy. but there was nothing going on and no music playing. Huh? They had pinball and I’m a fan of all arcade games so that was fun. The bartender was normal, nothing bad here. Bathroom was a rock bar bathroom. I mean, what else do you expect. Left after a couple drinks. I guess I’d have to go again on a «good» night to really see what it’s all about.

This place is dead on a Saturday night. I came here to see a band and I won’t be coming back. I have been in a lot of sketchy bathrooms in my music-hunting days, and this is the absolute WORST. Filthy, broken, missing parts– I wish I hadn’t drank anything all day. Bartenders are rude. Band was well over an hour late. Water is served in a plastic jug which makes me wonder how many people have spit in it. Nasty. Must miss.

This is literally my favorite bar in town. I go here regularly with friends. They have great music, an awesome old school punk vibe, a gallery down stairs, and a very helpful and friendly bar staff. The lighting is great, not too dark, not too bright. They have a bunch of arcade games, a really great stage setup, and pay-per-game pool tables with quarter slots. I’ve seen a ton of fantastic local metal bands play here, though lately they’ve been branching out into more hipster friendly bands(bleck). The bathrooms are always terrifying, but it’s a hole in the wall bar, so what do you expect? Go here to enjoy atmosphere, badass people, and great music and art.

Chill, free pool. I will admit I’ve only been to three kings for one reason, pub crawls on Broadway. That being said, I’ve been several times for this purpose. If you go during the day, it is quiet; there are usually some regulars at the bar and maybe a few people playing pool so its a great place for a quiet drink or with groups who have plenty of room to spread out. The pool is free(at least during the day it is). There a bunch of pin ball machines; they even have tetris! The bar tenders have always been really patient with my pub crawl scavenger hunts and are always really chill.
