Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Who can resist a sweet, slightly crunchy waffle slathered in marshmallow cream cheese, topped with fresh pineapple, coconut, and pilled with whipped cream?! Mmmm. We were here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy. We ordered at the counter and they brought our waffles to our table, not a long wait and the waffles were hot and fresh. We ordered both waffles as originals — they offer several types of waffles, original, traditional, whole wheat, The original is slightly sweeter than the traditional. We had the Tropical Zall and the Full Monty. They were both delicious and didn’t last long on the plate!

Oh boy, waffles! This was my feeling when I entered Waffle Brothers, but unfortunately that feeling changed throughout my visit. Waffle sandwiches — they seem like a great idea! However, execution was not as good as I’d hoped for. I got the Daphne with turkey, avocado and cajun sauce(add sprouts). The waffle was dense and not very flavorful. The ingredients were on the bland side as well. The pickles were the best part of the meal for sure. My leftovers are sitting sadly in my fridge, where they will likely stay.

The waffles are usually incredible. However, the past 4 times I’ve gone to waffle bros — 3 at corona and 1 time in uptown, the original waffle of my breakmest sandwich has been burnt. Also the corona location the past 2 times has been filled with unbearable smoke from burning something — which I’m assuming, are waffles. Burnt waffles are not good and if I wanted a burnt one, I’d just cook it myself instead of pay $ 7 for someone else to. Get it together waffle bros — you’re going downhill.

I came here lusting over waffles, but left unsatisfied. I had been busy moving my girlfriend this morning and was craving savory waffles. When it comes to satisfying this craving, Waffle Brothers offers sandwiches with bread options including their Traditional Waffle. I ordered a Smoky Joe that initially lacked bacon, but that was promptly taken care of when I asked. The ingredients were good, especially with the sprouts addition. The thick cut pickles also deserve mention. However, as much as I mentally enjoy the idea of a waffle sandwich, it never works out. Sure, they’re freshly made, but it wasn’t that warm(of course, you wouldn’t want a customer to burn their hand), didn’t have any crispy edges, or anything to distinguish it from bread except for the waffle pattern. Still hunting for that delicious waffle sandwich. Until then…

Ah-mazing! Definite breakfast spot, I will be back immediately. Had a Moe’s bagel breakfast sandwich. Sausage and cheese. DEELISH! Even more delicious? The Nutty Professor. So good! Can’t imagine this place churning anything out that would taste bad and I can’t wait to try more stuff.

The waffles here are really delicious, if textbook. However this is one of those places where the service ruins the food for me. Both times I’ve visited, the wait was much longer than I expected. Since it’s not actually a sit down restaurant, I wasn’t expecting to spend 1 hour plus on brunch. I ordered two waffles with syrup and butter and a side of bacon. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich, which you can get with jalapeños and it was very tasty. BUT. My food came out and was cold… Like fresh out of the fridge cold. So after waffling(see what I did there?) about whether or not to send my breakfast back, I finally landed on yes since I couldn’t even spread the butter on my waffles, let alone get it to melt. My husband took my plate to the counter, and while he was waiting for them to reheat my food, another employee delivered someone else’s hot chocolate to our table and sat it down do hard that a big splat of whipped cream/hot chocolate landed on my husband’s sandwich. So he took my husbands sandwich back to be remade. In the end, we ate at separate times and spent a good 80 minutes here for breakfast. Be prepared.

While the ambiance was a bit hectic(–1 point for the smoke-filled room). *Someone likely burned a bread product before we walked in. I would have given it a 5-er if we would have turned one of the numerous fans on. Regardless of how itchy my contacts now are, the gluten-free waffles were like a dream… A dream that starts out real-nice until you realize that you may be dreaming and get so excited you wake up. That’s exactly what the breakfast«mess» waffle sandwich was like. I was so happy with how delicious the gluten-free waffle was, that I became scared that it was too good to be true. Someone pinch-me! The poached egg was perfect, and the cream cheese was the perfect sweet/salty to pair between two doughy waffles. Oh yeah, the coffee which was roasted out in Boulder was solid too. Needless to say Waffle Bros has made the breakfast rotation. Please note, I’m one of those assholes that gets cray with my bfast sandwich. Waffle bfast sammies aren’t for peeps on a diet, unless your goal is to look like Chris Farley in Tommy Boy. That said, I was expecting to feel like the blueberry girl in Willy Wonka but I left satiated feeling light as a feather.

Woeful, awful. How do you f*** up a waffle? – especially when you call yourself«Waffle Brothers?» Awful Brothers is more like it. When we arrived, we waited five minutes without being approached by anyone. There were only three other occupied tables in a restaurant that held only six tables and had an open view to the staff-packed kitchen. The cast included an owner, three cooks, and two servers. While we waited, I overheard a sassy African American lady reply to the waiter’s, «How was everything?» with the word, «Honestly?» I should have known then. She continued, «I only ate the edges, because it was under-cooked.» When the scruffy, red-mutton-chopped waiter walked past us for the third time, I hollered after him, «Could we get some menus?» «Oh. Yeah,» he replied, clearly dazed, possibly high, before walking back behind the counter, 10 feet away. There I watched him dawdle as he gathered up a couple of beverages. Eventually, another customer handed us two menus. Slow-forward forty minutes past our order: the food finally arrived, and there I sat, staring glumly at a dry, cold, undercooked, doughy waffle. I had ordered a savory waffle with ham, cheese, and a fried egg on top. Ho-hamming, I scraped off the topping – which was clearly deli-selection, sandwich-cut meat, and inspected the waffle. It had not even been buttered. Five minutes later, the waiter checked back in. «How is everything?» «Could I get some butter?» I asked. He looked perplexed, as though I was the first customer to ever request something so exotic and foreign. «Butter? Uh, yeah.» Five minutes later, he returned and again asked, «How is everything?» «Butter?» I reminded him? «Oh. Yeah.» After he returned to the kitchen, I watched him slowly gather up some coffee for another customer. Eventually, he meandered his way over with a ramekin of butter, which would have done nothing to remedy the even colder dough puddle dying on my plate. As he put down the butter, he again asked, «How is everything.» Taking my cue from the sassy, African American woman, I replied in the only appropriate way, «Honestly? It’s the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. It’s undercooked and cold and we’ve been here for almost an hour.» He looked at me, perplexed, not knowing what to do. Finally, he said, «We can do it again for you.» «No,» I replied, thinking the last thing I needed was to relive the misery. «I honestly think you don’t have good food here.» Again, the stunned look on his face. As he stood there, like a deer in the headlights, I pushed away the plate. After an awkward pause, he wandered off, never to return again. Hungry and annoyed after being held hostage for so long, I forced down the by now cold lunch mean and eggs. During this time, I eyeballed the owner, who was wandering around the half-full restaurant, doing nothing. At one point, he looked up and met my gaze. I continued to stare. He stared back. I scowled. Then I raised my hands in an exasperated shrug. He looked away. We left our money and departed. My date said the coffee was good, but her waffle, also unbuttered, was likewise dry and cold. If you’re going to specialize in one thing, waffles for instance, you better get it right. Nothing in this place made any sense. Don’t bother with«Awful Brothers.» It’s a cute little spot in a charming old house that ought to do something quick to remedy their terrible product. Until they do so, they should start by training their wait staff to add a sense of urgency to their wanderings. It would also help for them to learn the ability to offer sincere apologies – a skill that will most certainly be in high demand.

I loved waffle brothers when I came here the first time and every time up until this one. There are 6 people working and no one is in a hurry to do anything including empty trash cans(the cook kept shoving the trash down with his bare hand and then continue cooking without washing his hands) the guy who served our food took the trash out right before and did not wash his hands, and their was a table washing wet wary that fell on the floor that no one picked up. It looks like a classic owner is not there and the help know it. Also, the place was half full and we were second in line and we waited 27 minutes to get our food(which was no longer wanted after the trash situation had been watched. Also, the floor had trash on it that the workers actually stepped on and kicked around but did not pick up. All in all I am so disappointed this used to be one of our favorite places and it is down right trashy now.

Mmmm… waffles… this place does them right. With three waffle batter options and a bunch of toppings, there are so many fun, tasty treats to be had here! The Original is a sweet batter, perfect to satiate your sweet-tooth. The Traditional is less sweet, and IMHO a better complement to the Breakmest with pepperjack and sausage(it was great… tried it once on the Original with bacon and it was pretty good too). There’s a whole wheat option, sweetened with bananas and honey which is delicious! Nice to have a healthier option when you’re gorging on waffles :) Even if you’re feeling really hungry, stick with one. It’ll fill you up without making you feel way too full. And getting anything with their cream cheese topping is worth the calories. Coffee is good as well, or at least the lattes are. I’ll be back, again and again.

Having now been to WB many times, I feel the need to give an updated review. While overall I enjoy what WB has to offer, there are a couple of aspects that are occasionally bothersome. On multiple visits my, or my daughter’s, order has arrived incorrect. The staff is always willing to atone for the mistake, but the fact thy it has happened multiple times shows room for improvement. The non-traditional waffle is just not for me. It is too sweet. However, the traditional waffle is great. Not too sweet.

I want to love Waffle Brothers. I really do. It is a block from my house, the owners seem really nice, and I love that it has such a great neighborhood feel. But after trying and trying I find something to love about, three stars is really as generous as I can get. First of all, let me just say that the three stars is a totally comprehensive rating. If I were rating Waffle Brothers just on their Waffles, it would easily get a four or five — so if you have no interest in eating anything at Waffle Brothers other than their waffles, you can go ahead and disregard this review. The problem is, they serve a lot of stuff other than waffles, and all of it has been just mediocre in my opinion. The sandwiches are fine, some better than others, but certainly not worth going out of your way for. They have ice cream in the summer which is great but they run out of flavors(and sometimes don’t tell you they’ve run out until you’ve already paid). And the breakfast sandwiches are really gross in my opinion — microwaved(I think) eggs which totally grossed me out and microwaved(I’m fairly confident) bacon on a croissant deserves one or two stars and no more. The place has a great feel and is very busy on weekends, which is good. I wish them well and want them to be successful, I just won’t be eating here.

Waffle Brothers on Corona Street has great sized waffles with endless topping options. I was visiting Colorado, when my friend, Ana, who recently moved to Denver suggested we share a waffle at Waffle Brothers based on the great reviews from Unilocal. Ana was in the mood for breakfast and I was in the mood for lunch. Bam! Waffle Brothers was the right choice! She was able to order a waffle, while I ordered a sandwich. However, the temptation of the Nutella and strawberries on that warm waffle made me dig into her waffle. I highly recommend this place. In fact, I wish there was one in Miami!

Holy moly, this place is great! I’m one of those gluten free jerks, and I was dragging my heels a little when my boyfriend suggested we give this place a shot. What was I going to have – coffee and a packet of jam? I was beyond overjoyed when I learned that they have perfected their very own gluten free waffle, complete with the caramelized sugar crystals in the batter that make Waffle Bros so very unique and tasty. Eating breakfast at this place is fun. It helps if you check out their extensive menu before you go – your mind will likely be swimming with options, and you don’t wanna hold up the busy line that usually ends up out the door. No matter how busy this place gets, the servers remain consistently positive and upbeat, and they encourage ample coffee consumption. Pick up whichever ceramic mug you like most – my favorite is the naked lady torso – head on over to the drip coffee dispenser and load up. On your way out and need even more coffee? They’re happy to give you a cup to go. The waffles are to die for, and the toppings are always fresh and delicious. The waffle sandwich is so, so good, but some of the savory fillings don’t always work the best with the sugary gluten free waffle – I think they have a less sweet conventional batter for the waffle sandwiches, anyway. Highly recommend this friendly, hoppin neighborhood joint.

My Waffle was perfection, covered in banana, nutella, walnuts and whipped cream. It was dense, but not too dense, and had little crispy sugary bits. My Mom’s waffle was covered in berries, nuts and caramel and was also fantastic. I couldn’t even come close to finishing my waffle, which makes it a pretty great deal for $ 7. If I came back I think I would just split one with my dining partner. Also, whoever called this place a «hole in the wall» really needs to explore the world of hole-in-the-walls. This is not a hole in the wall, it’s a decently sized place. Maybe it’s a hole in the wall if IHOP is your measuring point.

I guess I found out I just am not big of waffles. It was a bit confusing when we walked in as we were the only ones there and did not know we had to order at the counter– some signage would be helpful. There is a big menu with tons of choices and I did enjoy the fresh fruit topping but found my waffle to be very dense. You can get your waffles topped with pretty much anything you can think of and I went for strawberries and bananas — boring I know. Our friend got a bagel sandwich and really liked it — I think I will go for that next time. I liked the space, I like that they are local and the staff is friendly.

I am perhaps the world’s biggest waffle fan and this place is just a few blocks from my house. It has been calling my name every time I drive by since they opened. This morning I heeded the sirens’ call and dropped in for a rare waffle fix. The place is cute and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Open kitchen though so I’ll be smelling like kitchen all day — not a fan of that. I just don’t think these little shops have adequate ventilation to be cooking in the same space where people are eating. Big menu for such a little place — dozens of kinds of waffles, bagels, sandwiches, etc. I might have to try some of the other items but I am so not a fan of their waffles. I tried just a plain waffle with butter and syrup to get an idea of their basic product — the place is called Waffle Brothers after all. What I love in a waffle is a light airy texture and a very, very crisp exterior. It should crunch under your fork. I use the Joy of Cooking recipe which calls for cake flour to keep them light and you beat the egg yolks separately from the whites and fold the stiffly beaten whites in carefully at the end of making the batter. The result — waffle perfection. The waffle I got today was everything I hate in a waffle. It was the single heaviest, flabby, gummy(I don’t think the interior was cooked through), waste of calories I have ever encountered. Honestly, Eggos are better — IMO. One bite and I was out the door. The only bright note is that I don’t have waffle calorie remorse.

If you can get over the appearance of this hole in the wall, the food is well worth it. What’s unfortunate is the poor service. Not only was the person taking orders slow and clueless, but it also took several visits to the counter to ask for our food that took nearly an hour; turns out this happened to my sister the last time she brought someone here. No, it’s not a fast-food joint, but it’s also not a fine dining restaurant where lengthy waiting is expected. Our order had been lost in the confusion that was going on in the kitchen, which is visible from the seating area. The«cooks» are mostly teenagers dressed in whatever sweats or T-shirt they decided to put on that morning, and none wear gloves or hats/hairnets. . I scarfed down my breakfast immediately — we were on a tight schedule, I was starving and the waffle(topped with banana, Nutella and walnuts) was delicious. Despite how good it was, I don’t know that it was worth the wait to me.

DAWWWW what a fun place for brunch. Great waffles and with decently big portions! Food: — Breakfast Sandwich($ 6.25): Two traditional waffles with your choice of meat(turkey, bacon, canadian bacon, sausage), cheese(swiss, chedder, provolone, pepper jack, etc), and an egg. This was a great combination of SWEET and SAVORY. I loved the texture of their waffle(I got the whole wheat one for $ 0.25 more each waffle) because it was perfectly soft but also sweet and yummy. The savory turkey I got was generous in portion and the egg was almost well-done(wish it was runny!). Yum! It’s great if you don’t want just waffles and sweet stuff, but want some savory action! They also give syrup for free so drizzling that over the sandwich was uhhmayzing. ** Tip: Dont try and pick up your sandwich. It’s too big and the waffles are too hot. Fork and knives, thank you! — My friend loved her sandwich. Other reviews say they had great sandwiches. THEYARENOTJOKING. Pro: — Super friendly staff who came and checked up on the meal. Daw, it’s great when they look like they’re enjoying their job. — Very busy and full of people. They close early but that doesn’t stop the line(which was consistently out the door). — Huge water cups. HAHAH. I don’t know why I think that’s important… Con: — Parking is tricky. It’s in a residential area so it’s a hit or miss. — The sign is a little hard to see because it’s kind of small. Also it’s bugging the OCD part of me because it’s not placed in the middle beneath the top windows… OCD alert forsure. Someone please fix that. Verdict: If you want a pretty amazing waffle(with 239479834 different combinations and options) or the other 234873 types of food they make… Make your stop here!

I found myself here with a fellow Unilocaler last weekend. The place was very popular, kind of loud, and rather warm. However, the food was so tasty that it was easy to overlook these minor annoyances(like how the line of folks ordering and waiting is too close to the seating area) in favor of good food. It was a bit of a young and hipstery crowd, but everyone seemed in a pretty good mood on this sunny morning. I was somewhat hungover after an amazing previous evening, so a solid breakfast was called for. Upon the recommendation of my dining companion, I ordered the Waffle Breakfast Plate(Waffle, two poached eggs meat and fruit). This was an excellent choice. Since I planned on using syrup, I went with the Traditional Waffle(lighter, crispier and not as sweet as our Original Waffle). It was quite good. My eggs were poached perfectly to my liking(zero runny white), the ½ banana and 2 strawberries went nicely with my waffle, and the bacon was thin, crispy, and cooked just right(almost like they ironed it). I also helped(more than helped) my dining companion eat her sausage patty. It was okay, but could not compare to the bacon. I fully intend to return here until I have tried every Waffle variation they offer(Original Waffle, Traditional Waffle, All Natural Whole Wheat, Gluten-Free Waffle, and Vegan Waffle) and have worked my way through the Local Favorites combinations.
