That this is listed under«Mexican Food» I think kinda set me up for something else. I got the shrimp tacos. Not like any taco I’ve ever tasted before. Not bad, just different. Same with the rice and beans. Nothing I’d come back to to try again but was ok. Personally I was a little disappointed. Now the ambience and staff were wonderful. Interesting colorful setup. They came up and asked how my food was and since it was my first time there, she told me about what they are known for and what she personally likes. This is NOT Mexican food. But being Mexican, I think most people wouldn’t care about the«authenticity» as much as the taste of what’s in front of them. That’s why I’m comfortable giving this place 4⁄5 stars.

Giving this a 1 based on… Well everything. I’ve eaten at Wahoo’s a number of times and always liked it. This one is a joke. Horrible service and lackluster food. Overcooked everything and for a FISH place you really should know how to cook fish. Bland and tasteless came out if a box food. Service was a joke. Impatient, I don’t want to be here, complete with the eye roll and cheesy gold teeth. After eating a few bites, i told the helpful staff of my disappointment, my response was essentially, sorry about your bad luck! Horrible. I brought my burrito back and asked themto make another one

This is a fantastic find! I have driven by this place many times and curious about it. A friend of mine and I have decided to give it a try one afternoon for lunch and we both loved this place. I had the wahoo bowl with grilled wahoo. I am dying to know how they cook the rice. It has very nice flavor. I also love their cilantro-lime? dressing type of sauce that comes with the bowl. I have also tried their fish tacos, which was also fantastic. Their service is good. The place is a little loud, so I have difficulty hearing what the cashier says. Other than that, this place is a must try.

Not bad, I had the two taco combo with the shrimp and fish. The service was relatively good and the food came out fast. The food was just meh, the fish was pretty dry and it came with the worlds tiniest piece of lime. I guess I used to live in Texas so might be a little harsh on the food quality for Denver. For dessert there options are cookies or cookies, would love some tres leches.

Come here at least once a week to grab lunch for the dealership. Simple menu and the prices are ok. The popular items are the chicken sandwiches, Maui bowl and my personal favorite the paleo platter(double protein and veggies with Guac) Easy ordering process and attentive staff

The staff at this location consistently greets us with a smile, even when we’ve been the dreaded customer 10 mins before closing. It is often crowded but someone always stops by the table to see how our food is, which I appreciate. The food is great. Decent portions for the price. I am a big fan of the wahoo bowl with carnitas. I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried here however.

Amazing service from beginning to end but the portions and lack of taste really bit me in the end. I thought this place was ok. Feels like they need to do some deep cleaning. I understand its a fast casual joint but still, the halls of greasy third grade bathrooms can be felt in the dining area along with that stench. Regardless, we had an OK time. I’d come back and try something else as I always have the two try rule. Definitely in a good location and parking is easy. I’d say give it a go but don’t have any high expectations when you get just a small chunk of fish with your platter.

I love the fish tacos here, but yesterday I was in along with another individual and we both got food poisoning from our grilled fish tacos. We were both awake throwing up all night. Very unfortunate because we had great service. Hopefully this issue is addressed.

I’ve driven by many times so after a hike we decided it was time to try it out. I’m a huge taco fan and coming from the beach this seemed like it was made for me! I got the grilled chicken tostadas, My brother and boyfriend each got a chicken pizza thing. My brothers pizza came out cold so he sent it back. They offered to make him a new one but he was fine just having it warmed up. My chicken tostadas looked amazing and tasted even better until I realized my chicken was RAW! Not just a little pink but RAW! I was shocked and sent my brother up to do my dirty work. The guy took my food and said he would bring out new. I went up and told him I just wanted my $ 8 back. Before leaving we talked to the manager. She was extremely helpful and pretty accommodating. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of her. Gave us $ 15 voucher and a cookie. Not what I would have done but better then they guy who was just gonna make me another meal. I read that someone else reported food poisoning from this location only a few hours ago so we’ll see how tomorrow goes. Awkward.

Servers aren’t very friendly and the beans & rice were not properly rinsed and cooked enough. Food was still pretty decent and I like the interior a lot. Would be nice if they offered sauces/salsas on the side

I like this place it was my first time here– I like the décor and the guys that served me were extra nice, they helped me decide what to order because I was clueless– I ordered the chicken Cajun taco and it was pretty good– Next time I will work the courage to have the wahoo taco —

My dear Wahoos, it doesn’t matter which location you are, you never disappoint. Cajun salmon tacos, pico & chips, and a strong cold margarita in your hand is all you need.

One of the best fast food style fast casual restaurants that I have been to. Cannot beat the value. Real food for near fast food prices. Other reviews compare this to Chipotle. That is very insulting to this place. There is no comparison. This is multiple tiers up from Chipotle for the same price.

Wow. After being stuck at the airport all day, this place turned out to be the silver lining to my travel day. Cool surfer décor greeted me, and with no one in line, I was really close to chowing down on my first experience at Wahoos. The screamin chicken burrito and carnitas taco ended up being my final choice. Best chicken burrito ever, and only $ 5.99! Big juicy chunks of chicken and mushrooms were doused in a really flavorful spicy sauce. Very fresh ingredients. I’ll be back to try the fish tacos!

They revamped their menu, and the food is so much better! They’ve got a great patio, and their margaritas are the best in the area. And, they have happy hour constantly! Lastly, the service is really good and the staff is incredibly friendly. Always a great choice for a quick, delicious meal!

I regularly go on Thursday when kids eat free(with purchasing adult). Great value, great tasting food. I’ve tried most things on the menu and haven’t been disappointed. Margaritas $ 5(large and strong :)) with chips and salsa. Place is always clean and staff friendly. Food has never taken more than 5 minutes to arrive at our table.

Citrus slaw tacos with grilled salmon = amazing. Yes, Wahoo’s is technically a fast food place(well, «fast» in the Chipotle sense, not the McDonalds sense) but I would come here anytime for the fresh food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. There are fresh and unique tastes here(like the citrus slaw) that are real winners. Plus they do serve alcohol– what more could you want? The vibe of the restaurant is California surfer/skateboard which is fun and different.

The food here is actually very good. However, they are one of the VERY few chains that don’t offer any type of military discount. Not very patriotic of them. Even McDonalds offers one. I’m not expecting 25% off like I receive at Café Rio but a little something to show some gratitude would be nice. I usually support businesses that support our military and at this point in time most places show support so it won’t be hard for me to find a another place until Wahoo’s catches up to the rest of the restaurant world. But like I said, the food is really good.

First, I love the views and sitting outside. For being in the middle of a mall area the views are really pretty. I’ve never been to any other Wahoos location except this one but if this location reflects the food and service at other locations, I’m in! The staff are super friendly, attentive and the food is good. I get the paleo platter with grilled chicken. For $ 8 you get a decent amount of yummy, not dry, chicken(you can choose other proteins), slaw, guacamole and grilled veggies. I couldn’t actually finish it all! For fast food you get good quality food, good service and all at a decent price and good view! Keep in mind, even though you don’t know me, I usually hate chain restaurants so the fact I didn’t poo poo this place is kinda a big deal!

Wahoo’s is a similar concept to Chipotle, but with margaritas. I had a carnitas burrito smothered with green chili. The green chili was more like a chimichurri sauce, but delicious. The margaritas were good too. Normally I don’t like having to order at a counter with a menu listed above the serving station, because I am picky and like to peruse the menu as part of my experience. But there is a host of options for everyone; narrowing it down is the difficult part! My friend and I sat on the patio, and we did have table service.

We had carne asada, grilled wahoo fish, and shrimp tacos. They were SOGOOD! I also got the Baja bites and those were delectable! I don’t even know what was in them, but they go great with some sour cream and green sauce! Will totally go back there when we visit Denver again.

Very good food. Have tried the salmon bowl with rice and spicy Cajun white beans three days in a row!!! Dine in or carry out they give you the best experience with little wait for your food. Tip: the green sauce is so amazing!!!

Solid 3 stars Funky little joint, good vibe to the place. Basic menu, basic food, which sometimes is what you want. No pretense here The Wahoo bowl I had was good, she had a salad that she liked. I enjoyed it

I have eaten here many times. The food is always fresh, fast and tasty. I like how you can customize bowls & burritos to your liking. The lack of the star is for the cleanliness. Many times the floor has not been swept and the tables are dirty. I understand it get busy at lunch time but there are always at least 1 employee standing around. Having come from the industry…“if there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean.”

Love this place. I only hit this location when my kids have a tournament over at Dick’s and it’s always busy. But you can see them all busting their tails to get the food out in a timely manner. Food is always good and there’s something for everyone, not just fish tacos. But darn good fish tacos or shrimp burritos. YUM!!!

This was just the right place, at just the right time. I wanted a quick walk up meal that wasn’t a typical burrito, chicken sandwich etc. My shrimp bowl, with brown rice, and beans was tasty, somewhat healthy, and just the right amount of food. Quality food, quick service, priced right. Can’t see anything wrong here…

This food was damn good. I got the Wahoo bowl with Cajun chicken, black beans, and brown rice. I didn’t have to wait long for them to bring my food out to the patio. Sun was out and the patio was great. Very very pleased. This was my last stop in Denver and it was a good one!

Being from Southern California, I was surprised to see Wahoo’s in Denver. This started as a So Cal chain, and a good one at that. It’s much better than traditional fast food. In fact, it’s a great place for a quick lunch or inexpensive dinner. The food here tasted great, portions are adequate for what you’re charged and it’s far healthier than most fast food. Keep in mind, bowls can come with brown rice and black beans. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed here is the shrimp. Otherwise, any of the chicken, beef, pork, tofu, etc, dishes/burritos/bowls rock!

The food is really delicious for starters. I’m a big fan of the various bowl dishes(kahlua pig, bonzai bowl, teriyaki, etc) because I love the Hawaiian influence. The main draw however is the fish and shrimp tacos. They are served baja style on small tasty corn tortillas with pico de gallo and a very tasty green sauce is also available if requested. You can get them on their own or on a plate with rice and beans. YUM!

I have been here several times but somehow, these were my sentiments on this recent visit, Wednesday December 18th2013. Time was about 19:40hrs… Wahoo’s Fish Tacos NORTHFIELDSTAPLETON Location… What happened to you? *BIGSIGHINDEED* We stopped in for dinner recently after shopping at Super Target, and I guess we came in after the Dinner Rush… From the Menu, they added some items so these were what we ordered : * #12 Shrimp Bowl with NO Beans —($ 9.59) * Taco A la Carte($ 2.79) + Shrimp($ 0.25) * Taco A La Carte($ 2.79) * Burrito A La Carte($ 5.59) * Outer Reef($ 1.50) * Brown Rice($ 0.25) * Black Beans * Wet(aka Smothered with Green Sauce)($ 1.69) * Sour Cream($ 0.25) * Taco A La Carte($ 2.79) + Asada($ 0.25) * 2 Drinks(@$ 1.99 each)($ 3.98) We went to get our seats after ordering at the counter. The staff will send your food and these when things fall apart. Yes, we received our order. But the food was somewhat lukewarm to my liking. The rice that was on the Shrimp Bowl was somewhat either over-cooked or under-cooked. Coz some rice were hard, some rice were crunchy. The green sauce was NOT what I like or what I could recall in which I fell in love with Wahoo’s about many moons ago. Even the shrimp was a let-down. As for the Tacos, was just A-OKAY though I cannot deny, each item you add in your order, the price kept rising up. *SIGH* Hubs said his order of Burrito and Taco Beef Asada was A-Okay too. I think as for Hubs once his tummy belly is filled, he is a happy camper, and he rate this recent visit as 3 stars. Personally for me, this recent dinner was indeed a let-down. What happened to you, Wahoo’s Fish Tacos? What happened? Disappointed indeed. I am NOTWOW with the food and the pricing of the food. *MAJORSADFACE* Perhaps these were just an isolated incident. I do hope so… From the receipt, it was stated at this located below, Wahoo’s Fish Taco 7980 Northfield Blvd, Denver, CO80238 Tel:(303)-574−0466 But from their Wahoo’s Website, it was stated at this location : Northfield at Stapleton 8100 Northfield Boulevard Denver, CO80238 Tel:(303)-574.0466 I hope the Wahoo’s management can rectify or verify the address location differences since the ones that stated in their website it was of a wrong location. @272/2013
