My family used to come here a lot for birthdays, not so much anymore since we found out my little sister has Celiacs, but nevertheless the place is always very clean, and while the food may not be the world’s finest, it’s good solid food, tasty and filling. The owners/managers of the place have amazing customer service, the help they hire seem to be pretty good too, that’s the selling point for me. For example, once they had to close up early and were unable to serve me as I got there just as they were closing, so the next time I was in they made up for it when they didn’t have to(in my opinion, life happens) and I’ve been more than happy to just stick with them. My only complaint is I miss the arcade machine they used to have but it’s been gone for over 20 years now so I don’t think it’s coming back now and that’s understandable these days. XD

You go in person to order food you would think the people making the food would prioritize the orders for customers standing right there over orders called in. They don’t. Waited 20 mins for food. No one could tell me if anyone was making my food or when it would be ready. Meanwhile order after order called in came out of the kitchen. Got a refund and left. The only plus? They have home made birch beer and it’s really good. That doesn’t make up for slow service, poor service.

We just held a birthday party for my son here. The owner and staff were great. Even though we were a small group we were treated like a big deal. The waitress and owner checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. The pizza was delicious, plain, with veggies and pepperoni. The pepperoni was some of the best I have had. We will be back.

Overly sweet sauce, overcooked pasta, and poor service. My water glass was empty for 20 minutes, never refilled. The food is edible, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. I wound up there only because my first 3 choices were booked until 8:30PM on a Friday night and this place was near empty at 6. I didn’t sample the pizza. Not my thing.

Catering food was really good; pizza tasty, but not the ‘best’ in town We ordered a few trays of food to cater a family event, and we got tons of compliments — we ordered stuffed shells, sausage & peppers, chicken parm, and an eggplant pasta. Overall, very happy with their service, price, and quality of their food. The pizza is very tasty, but we do like another place in town better, so we usually only order from Denville Pizza on Fridays, because they have more reasonable wait times, and seem to handle the weekend pizza rush better. Would probably order from here even more if they delivered!

LOVE East coast pizza. This place is a favorite of ours every time we come back to New Jersey. We don’t have good East coast style pizza in California, and every time we come here, Denville pizzeria delivers. The dough is delicious, the sauce is great, and the cheese and pepperoni is awesome. Everything just comes together so well and it’s a must for us every time we come. We usually get it to go, so I don’t know how it is inside the restaurant. But the pizza is great.

Absolutely delicious pizza! Dough is nice and fresh, not greasy, perfectly cooked! I highly recommend trying this place out if you are staying in the area. Extensive menu with pizza, salads and dinners.

You can’t go wrong at a place that the great Yankee Joe DiMaggio called the best! They have a wall decorated with all the famous people that stopped by and said this pizza is the best. Denville Pizzeria has been in the heart of Denville for decades and while other pizza places have shut down… this little gem has withstood it all and keeps on going. Some people think the owner is a jerk. He’s one of the nicest person there is. He is well known in the town too. He’s rough around the edges but is never mean. I’ve lived in New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago and I still think this is the best pizza I’ve had. Something about it… the flavor is authentic. I can’t say anything about the rest of the menu but their Pizza is the best! I’ve been loving this pizza for what seems to be 20 years(if not very close to it)

When Denville Pizza was the only game in town, I bet this place was the best. But when it’s just another dime-a-dozen pizza joint, and the pizza isn’t so great, and the owner makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing him by giving him business? Maybe it’s time to step up your game. It’s also one of the only pizzerias in Denville that doesn’t have a stupid name.

Not really my kind of pizza, way too doughy and thick. I guess for a quick slice on the go, it fits the bill but I would never order a full pie based on a slice. Choices were limited with 3 different chicken topped pies that all looked the same and not much else. Expensive too, over $ 12 for 3 slices and 2 small size fountain drinks. Ouch! Still it’s pretty clean and service was cordial. Keep expectations low and you’ll be fine.

I don’t come here regularly-I will usually stop by if I’m in the area, but I have never been disappointed in the pizza here. The slices are large and they don’t skimp on the toppings so don’t be afraid to ask for something if you don’t see what you want. The area up front, where you get the pizza is small, but cozy… reminds me of the pizza place I went to growing up in Pisacataway. I can’t rate the rest of the food from Denville Pizza, but from my experiences I can definitely recommend the pizza…

Food is just OK — sauce is lacking something, pizza quality is variable. But it’s convenient and I always find parking.

Though I no longer order my pizzas from Denville Pizzeria(only because they didn’t deliver for such a long time… and I’m not sure if they even do now), I always enjoy dining here in their main restaurant. The walls of the dining room are covered with a lovely mural depicting the Italian countryside, and the lighting is nice and low… perfect for a Friday night date. The food is good… though the service is often slow(mostly, I think, due to the fact that there is often no one in the dining room… and the wait staff would rather be scarce than overbearing). It’s hardly ever crowded, so you can hear the Frank Sinatra music playing on the stereo. I love the spaghetti and meatballs… very classic!
