One of our favorite places to eat. Well cooked BBQ at a reasonable price. Absolutely delicious

Bbq in Buffalo? Yup. And it is as good as it gets. The only down side is that they don’t do mashed potatoes, but not enough to knock off a star! Cornbread, ribs, chicken, brisket(they call it sliced beef) and the polish sausage(something different) are all delicious. Get the king platter and you will not be disappointed.

This is a small, cozy BBQ joint near the airport. Their pulled pork was very flavorful and the staff was friendly. Thanks for the meal.

Quick service and overall good food. Bread was a little burnt but the meats were good!

Decided to eat here as we had a little bit of time before our flight home. We told the waitress that we were in a hurry and our food came out in 7 minutes(wow). We’re from Louisiana, where food is king. This BBQ put ours to shame. Buffalo natives, travelers, stop here. Get the pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast. Wow. It’s perfect.

Got the king’s platter with black eyed peas and fried okra. Great BBQ, great service, fair prices, fair portions. My only complaint Is that they don’t have a hotter BBQ sauce table side or available on request. Will be back.

As a Kentucky girl I was disappointed not to find Ale-8 on tap as a soda option or at least cans or bottles. The bbq however was pretty great. I had a beef platter, which is eye round, not brisket. It was tender and tasty. KY Greg’s only has one bbq sauce but it was tangy and spicy and not overly smoky and sweet. This is the kind of bbq sauce I like best. Sides I tried were macaroni salad which was nice with a mayo based dressing and various fresh veggies. Also fried okra which came in a huge portion. We also shared fried pickles which were excellent, they were spears with dill in the batter. The grilled bread that came with our food was very tasty. The restaurant was clean, had ample seating, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will return.

Oh man, so disappointed in our last experience. Our first experience with KG’s was a catered event and it was a fantastic meal. It was my friend’s 40th surprise b-day party and they didn’t let him down. It has been a few years and I’ve done nothing but speak highly of the place. In my mind it WAS a 4⁄5 rating. Finally a long awaited visit to the brick and mortar home-front has changed that, sadly. Since I vividly remember the deliciousness of the brisket, pulled pork and beans from my first experience, I opted to try a burger(as did another friend with us). My wife got the brisket dinner, and my daughter got a chicken finger plate. I really wish I would not have gotten what I did. The burger seemed like your typical frozen boxed patty but even worse was burnt to a crisp, beyond salvage. The roll, hard and burnt to a crisp. My wife asked me how mine was and I replied, while chewing, «like a hockey puck.» Our friend said«yeah, so is mine.» My wife lifted up the bread that came with her brisket dinner, I felt bad it was worse than mine… looked like a referee’s jersey. She said her brisket was rubbery, didn’t looked over or undercooked but was not tender and looked as if it might have been sitting out for awhile in the bottom of a grease tray. On a positive, our other friend’s meals looked decent(pork sandwich, chicken sandwich and one person got the ribs) and I was able to eat some of my daughter’s chicken fingers(she didn’t want them) but you can’t mess frying frozen fingers too much. I won’t give them a one, although this last experience warranted it… the first was a 4, so it’s either a 2 or 3 average. With how bad the restaurant cooking was, I’m rounding down and not going back. The wait staff was fine and nice. We didn’t send back because we were in a large group and we’re all going somewhere together after. Totally saddened and disappointed. 2nd experience was so different than our first.

The fact that they have a wall of hot sauce shows their dedication to making a customer happy. I ordered the half chicken barbecue all white meat. My date ordered the pulled pork. All the meat was delicious. The service was top notch. The owner of the establishment himself came to check if everything was good. My drink was never past half empty. My only problem was that I needed a new belt from all the delicious bbq.

The BEST ribs I have ever had!!! We both ordered the king platters so that we could try all of the meats, everything was great but the ribs were packed with so much flavor! Better than any ribs we’ve had anywhere else!

The restaurant itself looks like it’s in an old Wendy’s or Burger King which is… interesting. Actually a successful BBQ place in Syracuse called Limp Lizard did the same kind of conversion which worked for them too. I typically don’t go to Depew for anything so I’m rarely out this way… but if I’m in the mood for some BBQ I’ll make the trip. I wish they would open one in Buffalo proper(the area not the restaurant). The food was pretty good, ordered BBQ chicken and ribs, cole slaw and potato or mac salad cant remember. Good home style cooking. Service is really quick, think the food hit our table less than 5 minutes after we placed our order. I’m a fan of this place food wise, just not the location.

Having been to more than 300 of the best(and worst) BBQ spots in the US I’ve been eyeing Kentucky Greg’s for years, but instead have chosen to eat Italian and other food when in Buffalo a few times a year. This time I bit the bullet and met my cousin(who has lived in Buffalo for 15 years and has also visited many of the country’s best BBQ with me). We were excited, but left unsatisfied, quickly realizing this is fair northern BBQ and can’t go toe-to-toe with the Southern and KC/Texas boys. We wouldn’t come back, but are glad we tried it, finally. I knew we weren’t going to be blown away minutes in when the sweet tea tasted like water. The waitress told me it was because we were there later in the evening and that happens sometimes. False. Sweet tea should never taste like water. The food was a good, average BBQ. In Buffalo terms it’s a big step down from Dinosaur and a small step down from Lewiston’s Brickyard. The food is good, but not great. If you think it’s great you’re a Western NY native who’s never had stellar BBQ. On the other hand, Kentucky Greg’s is better than Famous Dave’s and Smokey Bones. We each ordered two meat combos. The pulled pork was good. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with it(or the sweet sauce that comes with it). Meanwhile, the slides brisket didn’t make the grade. A lack of flavor, being dry and not being tender kept us from even finishing half of it. The sausage was fine. Just average. Keep in mind, this is a different sausage than you’d expect at most BBQ spots. As for the sides, the garlic toast was terrible. It tasted like cheap white bread that was charred. The cornbread was sweet and probably the best thing we ate. The baked beans were like you’d expect at any BBQ spot. The black eyed peas were comparable. The fried okra and french fries are frozen and not made on site.

First visit. It was absolutely delicious. Loved the smokey flavor on the ribs. We took a Cuban sandwich to go and it was terrific Very flavorful. Great service. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend and return.

I haven’t dined here in a really long time. I was super excited to come here for dinner on Saturday! When you walk in you get hit with a strong delicious smell of BBQ, it’s heaven. You can seat yourself, which is kind of nice. My server was very nice and accommodating, my fiancé and I were waiting for two other people and she kept checking to make sure we didn’t need anything in the mean time. I ordered the chicken platter, with baked beans, potato salad and corn bread. The chicken was amazing, it just fell right off the bone. The baked beans were so tasty. The potato salad wasn’t my favorite honestly. The corn bread was, amazing though! I wish they gave bigger pieces because I wanted more of it. Haha. Overall my experience was great, love this place, will definitely be back for more BBQ.

Best place for BBQ in Western New York! We’ve been going to Gregs for well over 5 years now and the food is consistently delicious! We always start with an appetizer — the deep friend banana peppers with ranch dressing. To die for! On days we feel like soup appetizer, first we pray that the beer cheddar soup is on the menu. It is delicious! If it isn’t(because it is seasonal), we go for the Brunswick stew which is great! Then onto the entrée — my go to is the pulled chicken sandwich, Memphis style. Full size, served on Texas toast with two sides. I normally get a side of the bbq baked beans and fries. It is perfect! The meat is tender, the slaw is perfectly made and the sides are divine! Last time I was there I ordered a half a rack of ribs with coleslaw and beans. It was magic in my mouth! Rounding everything out is dessert — which I rarely need after dinner because of all the food that I couldn’t help but eat all of! But if you feel the need, their cupcakes are great! My favorite though is the key lime pie; it’s a little taste of summer!(The pig cookies don’t have much taste so I’d skip them.) Definitely worth a visit! My mouth is watering thinking about them right now! :)

Western NY is good for many things. Craft beer? We have more than you can taste in a lifetime. Sports? We’re the best fans you’ll ever meet. Bar food, pub trivia, free outdoor events, friendly people? Check, check, check, and check. What Buffalo does not have is good BBQ. It’s sad but we just have to face it: Buffalo is a BBQ wasteland. Sure, I love Fat Bob’s. And I can get a decent pulled pork at many places in the city. But when it comes to good, slow-cooked, wood chip smoked deliciousness, we just aren’t that great. Thank goodness for Kentucky Greg’s. If it wasn’t for their amazing, juicy, flavorful pork and beef, I would have no options at all when I craved BBQ. And it isn’t even expensive! An amazing sandwich with a side runs less than $ 8 and keep an eye out for BOGO coupons — they’re everywhere. Sides are amazing, especially the baked beans and fried okra. I wish that they had macaroni and cheese, because some good M&C is the best accompaniment to BBQ, in my humble opinion. The interior is quaint and diner-like with little piggies decorating every corner and countertop. I like to view it as a visual metaphor for the notion that«Buffalo will have good BBQ when pigs fly!» Well, the pigs are flying, and Kentucky Greg’s is Buffalo’s saving grace when someone is craving good, down home BBQ.

This is a great bargain, one of your best bets for cheap and good eats near the airport. We were here on a dark and rainy night, and spied the nearby smoking building. That’s definitely the smokehouse, and it looks like it’s going 24⁄7. We started out with cheese fries and a couple of beers. I ordered pulled pork and smoked sausage, and Lee had beef. The sides were all great, particularly the fried okra — so yummy! My only quibble was a tiny bit with the pacing. Almost all our food came out at once, and although we weren’t there that soon to closing time(at least an hour before,) I got the impression that the staff wanted to go home. Still and all, this is some fantastic ‘cue. They’ve got a nice vinegary Carolina style sauce for the pork, one that Lee actually liked. He’s always so fearful of pork with heavy molasses style sauces. I’d definitely go back here again!

Fast, friendly, hot, delicious, cheaper than most BBQ joints. You’ll seat yourself. Be greeted quickly. Served promptly. So far so good, right? Then there’s the BBQ… that’s what I’m talking about. On par if not better than some of the bigger BBQ joints in Buffalo. As I often, I mean always do, I order a sizable platter of BBQ meats in order to report back here. Okay that’s not true. I have a deep love of BBQ meats. It hasn’t become an issue, yet. My wife is getting concerned, though. This being the case I get a hardy fill and a sizable representation of what they offer. And I want more…

I made a huge mistake of introducing their gumbo to a couple of friends in college, I am now required to bring a quart of their spicy goodness all over the country. Their gumbo is full-bodied, with a hint of spice. Their BBQ is also insane; I constantly get the pulled pork sandwich and I am never disappointed. Randomly, their Texas Toast and fried okra is stupidly good. The staff is incredibly sweet and the prices are very reasonable. Solid BBQ that I always make a point to stop by when I’m in town.

I’ve been here three times and have absolutely no complaints! The servers here are all very people friendly and do an excellent job! The food always comes within 5 – 10 mins at most and it’s always served hot, it’s always delicious! Love the corn beard, fried pickles, Texas Toast and the ribs!!! I think I’ve tried a little bit of everything from everyone’s plates and if you want BBQ, you truly can’t go wrong here! Sit down and enjoy!
