We found this bakery on Unilocal after dropping off a friend at the airport. I bought three different kinds of pastries. All three were very good but not excellent. Their prices on the other hand are excellent! Not sure how they make any money here.

I’ve been going to Renee’s since I discovered it a few years ago. All their product is hand made every night and you can really tell the difference from the store bought bakery items you might find at a supermarket or other bakery. The staff is great and the atmosphere is totally old school. It reminds me of an old Italian bakery on Hertel that I used to go to when I lived down there. No frills, just great baked goods at a great price. If you’re driving down Transit in Depew, stop in and check them out. You’ll be happy you did!

First time in and only because I wanted a snack before lunch. They have a good mix of cookies, muffins, pastries, and coffee cake type things. They also have Placzek which is supposed to be one of the best around from what several sources have told me. I’m planning to pickup a loaf for Easter. I was originally going to buy a few items individually but they convinced me to get at least a quarter pound of each because it’s cheaper per unit. Sure glad I did because both the lemon filled cookies and apricot filled sour cream dough things were delicious. I agree with one of the reviews that the interior could be updated, but I like the«old» feel. Looking forward to coming here again. May pick up a dozen for work if my co-workers are nice to me. :)

My late father was born and raised in Germany. We have been going to Renee’s for as long as I can remember — at least 35 years. It wouldn’t be Christmas without their cut-our anise cookies, lebkuchen and other German treats. I just wish they would bring back their Bienenstich… delicious!

Was not impressed. The place needs to be updated. the scent as well in the place was not appealing. I was disappointed in how my deserts taste. The plus side where the employees were nice

Family Owned, made from scratch bakery that is simply delicious! Everyone that works here is so friendly and helpful. I love that the employees will offer their opinions to help you find exactly what you’re looking for! Try the alligator rolls too! So addictive!

How could I not review this place??? It is perfect! I worked in Williamsville for years, Main and Transit. I passed this every morning and oftentimes stopped in. Still do. It is a «wee» bakery in a strip plaza. Baked goods, breads are wonderful! Staff, equally so. The coolest part, they special produce. They will make me a yeasted poppy seed pastry/roll. The Alligators /rolls and breads — wonderful! There is nothing that is not good about this old world bakery.

I love Renee’s Bakery. They have been here forever from what I’m told. Saturday morning it is always packed. The Aligator Rolls are my favorite. Like all good bakery products the goods here are best eaten the same day, because unfortunately by the next day they are tastless. I will say that they have become very pricey over the last year, so where they were a weekly staple, they have become a once a month special treat. The sizes have gotten smaller and the prices have gotten higher — sort of like the half gallons of ice cream at Tops.

This has been our favorite bakery that has survived even when so many supermarkets have added a bakery section to their stores. Candy and her husband have turned out tons of buttered rolls to families and office staff for as long as I can remember. Famous for their butter rings, cross breads, and seasonal and year round cookies. On a Saturday morning there is barely enough standing room to come in and purchase fresh breads and desserts for Saturday or Sunday dinner. By Saturday afternoon the shelves are almost bare so that you know that anything you buy on Monday was baked fresh Monday morning. Prices are the most reasonable. Long live Renee’s Bakery.
