Was heading out of town on the last day of my visit to Oregon Pacific Coast. So, only got 2 crullers but my gosh, gobbled them both on the drive back to Portland because they were SO good! EVERYTHING in that place looks and smells delicious. I’ll be back next visit! They seem to do beautiful work with every product. Everything looks fabulous, smells great in there and I can’t imagine any other product wasn’t as good as those crullers!

Yummy donuts, good cookies, friendly. I don’t make it often as I try to eat healthy, but my son and I cannot resist shouting Depoe BAAAAAAAAAYKery every time we drive by on a visit at the coast.

This bakery had some classics like honey wheat bread and apple fritters, but it also had some innovative ideas like walnut sourdough or English muffin loaves of bread. The service was fantastic(once you get him out of the back of he store) with the baker being the only guy behind the counter. They won a local award for their pecan turtle topped Bavarian cream filled doughnut. It was seriously to die for. It will be the thing that pulls me back in next time I am in the area. Deliciously light doughnut holes, rich Bavarian cream, and the coolest energy bars called fruit bars: grains, seeds, nuts and dried fruit in a big bar! Recipe please!

Great place! Fritters are spectacular and cookies are even better. I discovered this little gem by asking the depoe locals and glad I did because I was searching online and getting recommended to places in Lincoln City and this lil place is better. It’s nice because it’s off the beaten path and just cozy and quaint. No hustle and bustle and makes you feel like they would know you by name. Their donuts are amazing… best crumb I’ve ever had. Cookies are homemade. It seems like nothing comes from a box or bag… just all around yummy goodness. Going back for sure.

We just left Depoe Bay bakery and we’re very upset with the owner. We came in to have a donut after trying one a few years ago at a farmers market which was absolutely delicious. We brought our Yorke in because we do not leave her in the car under any circumstances. The server was very polite but the owner yelled at my husband and asked if she was a service dog when my husband told him no he get that God dam dog out of here. We will not be back. Beware dog lover’s don’t get caught off guard like we were. What a jerk!!!

This is a place I’ve driven by so many times and never noticed, until my sister saw the sign and suggested we check it out. I AMSOGLADSHESAWTHESIGN! The selection of baked goods is terrific, as has been mentioned, everything is made from scratch from family recipes, and each scrumptious treat we tried was AMAZING! I have never had such delicious cruellers in my life, same with the macaroons.(I’ve traveled Europe extensively, and been to some incredible bakeries. Been to fancier places, yes, but none more delicious!) There was an orange glazed treat that was… orgasmic! The cookies are unreal, breads yummy… The owners so friendly and helpful. This would totally be one of my hangouts if I lived in the area! Thank you Depoe Baykery, for being so amazing. I’ll be back, repeatedly!

My mom said her cinnamon roll was a little dry with too much cinnamon. My apple fritter was ok.

We stopped by here on the first day of our honeymoon and they were closed. The hours listed on Unilocal are incorrect – they close at 4pm(not 6pm). Bummer. But we were able to visit the next day. Here’s a hint: Get here early. A lot of the selection was gone when we arrived around noon. If you love cloves and cinnamon and nutmeg then you must try the Sailor Jack. We also got a marionberry fritter, which was delicious.

I always pass by this place and always think to stop in, but haven’t until recently. First of all, it is so cute and quaint – a little bakery where they make everything(including the glaze!) from scratch. Exactly what I was hoping it would be like. Fresh doughnuts and pastries, and lots of variety. We got an apple fritter(huge!), a chocolate chewy(described as a mix between a cookie and a brownie), and a glazed old-fashioned. They were all so moist, fresh, and soft, and my husband(who is quite the fritter aficionado) said that this is the best apple fritter he’s ever had. AND it all only came to $ 4.25! Such a cute little place, and it’s great to support local businesses. I will definitely be back in every time I am in the area.

Finding 832 agates in one day can make a body need a lift. Yes, I’ll need a «lift» to be able to be able to stand upright after that much agate hunting/finding! But the lift here at DB(the bakery, that is) will do until a soak in a hot bath. We arrived too late in the day to find their full compliment of goodies, but what was there was more than enough. Scones from heaven. For breakfast, for lunch, for, for, keeerap, I’m leaving the Swiss Francs and Euros at home and hauling these scones on next cross-pond romp. What a great place this is!(No. I’m not telling ya where I found that many agates! You got this«heads up», find yer own danged gem stones. :))

Round three at Depoe Baykery 4÷23÷15 leaving the coast to head back to Shoreline WA. Can’t say enough about this genuine, high quality bake shop. Incredibly friendly and talented proprietors/bakers. When visiting the central OR coast, make sure to stop by while in Depoe Bay.

Fresh, warm, tasty… This is a very high quality bakery. Need to get there early or it’s sold out. Live in the valley, there is nothing there that can compare with what they bake fresh every night. The baker lives in the house in the back and starts baking 6 nights a week starting at 12 midnight… Thank you for doing this!

OK, so upon visiting my friend in Florence, she drove my up the coast from Florence to Depoe Bay for lunch, and came here afterwards for a little dessert. Even though she can’t stand coconut, she ranted and raved beforehand about the macaroons, and I just couldn’t understand why… They sit off of the main road a little bit, so if you’re speeding, you’ll miss the driveway. They’re kind of discreet(looks like a converted house), yet screamin’(painted bright yellow) at the same time. From the display case, desserts seem kind of standard… until my friend split one of the macaroons with me! No wonder my friend-who-hates-coconut loves them macaroons! They taste like butter and sugar and nothing else except I think that the coconut serves only as the«glue» that holds teh butter and sugar together! They were pretty good, though quite honestly, not the kind of thing I normally eat, either! The lady behind the counter was super nice, and mentioned that it was her father-in-law’s recipe.

There are a lot of bakeries up and down the coast, but Depoe Baykery(get it? Bay? Baykery? hahahaha) probably makes my favorite muffin and bear claw-ish pastries. Excellent fruit turnovers — plenty of fruit filling, but be aware that these are made of the chewy yeast-based donut dough rather than traditional pastry. It was a surprise to me the first tie I bit in – but wonderful surprises are what keep me going! Husband loves their nut-free chocolate chip cookies, but my favorite(okay, one of my favorites) is called a «Chewy chocolate» cookie. While it’s not really chewy — it it is full of walnut pieces and tastes most like a soft brownie-cookie. Tender, gooey, and nice and chocolaty. They also have macaroons, sugar cookies, and a few still on my list to try. They also do breads — olive, jalapeño, and a few other rolls that seem to be made of the same fluffy yeast-based dough as the doughnut-turnovers. Any bread with jalapenos and cheese gets my attention. They make a lot of doughnuts and filled eclaire-like things — but frankly, I’ve never gotten that far. The turnovers, muffins, and cookies always get me first! Yay! Depoe Bay! kery. !!!

My wife and I tried several baked goods and all were excellent. I really like the cinnamon bear apple fritter. The maple bar was outstanding. The coffee was also good.

There are many sweet tooths in my family and we ended up here every day they were open while visiting Depoe Bay! The Oregon Joy, a hazelnut macaroon dipped in chocolate, were fabulous.

Best fritters! Great consistency in both their breads and sweets. If you haven’t been to the baykery then you can sometimes catch them at the Lincoln city farmers market.
