Was down at Rowan University for field hockey and since we had games both Saturday and Sunday we decided to just stay down here. This Fairfield Inn was close, it was comparably cheap(thy offer a government rate), and breakfast is included… pretty much a no-brainer. Check-in was a breeze and the room was just what we needed. The only problem was the AC… it kept reverting to heat during the night so 2x we woke up to a 74 degree room instead of the 63 we had set before bed. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, the front desk staff was VERY pleasant, the room was clean, breakfast was hot and filled us up before a long day of field hockey, the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, and the shower was acceptable. Plenty of parking and it’s near lots of restaurants(If you like Italian, try Cotardo’s — you have to drive about 8 minutes, but it’s worth it). I’d stay here again…

Not impressed by this Fairfield Inn. Staff was not friendly. Breakfast was not good– food was cold and non perishable items seemed old like they kept putting them out. Gym was tiny and limited. You could hear the freeway in your room at night and the light in their parking lot were so bright they shined right into your window. Won’t be staying here again

I would love to give a review about the actual hotel, but due to poor communication by Shanice, I can only review my inability to book a block of rooms for my wedding. I called a few weeks ago and spoke to a helpful person at Fairfield Inn who explained I needed to speak with Shanice to actually book a block of rooms for my wedding. Getting in touch with this woman is next to impossible. I had to call twice in order to request a written agreement even though Shanice possessed all of my contact information and I think I only received a return call the second time because I threatened to take my business elsewhere. Shanice emailed me a contract on October 8th. I emailed her back the following day explaining some concerns I had with the agreement. I received no response back. She then called me later that day and left me a voicemail which I thought was to address my issue with the contract. Instead, she said she had a message to call me and wasn’t sure if we spoke so she was calling back to follow up. Considering that we spoke less than 24 hour ago and she emailed me in the same time frame, and she seemed to have no idea who I was, I became concerned about her ability to follow through with helping me with the room block. I called her back a few minutes after she left me a voicemail and no surprise, she did not answer. I left a voicemail explaining that we had just spoken and I had sent her an email just a few hours before with concerns about the contract. I never heard back from Shanice or any other Fairfield Inn staff after this. I guess Fairfield Inn is in a position to turn down business. If so, I don’t think they will be in this position for long. I’m instead setting up a block of rooms with a nicer, local hotel for a lower price. And the best part is the employee at the latter hotel actually responds to customers. What a concept!

Wish I could give the hotel a better review, as we exclusively stay at Marriott’s. 2 strikes on this location. Our recent stay was from 8⁄21 to 8⁄23. After a long night in Philly, we were hoping to get some rest. No dice. The people above us got up at 7 a.m. and let their children run all around the room. It literally sounded like a herd of elephants. Eventually I called the front desk. They apparently called the room above us… if anything the commotion got worse. This is the SAME exact experience we had when we stayed there in January. As I checked out I mentioned this to the front desk. They simply shrugged with a pretty insincere apology… the impression I got is they were used to that type of complaint. Funny story. the noise culprits checked out behind us… I heard her tell the front desk that her kids woke up early and she couldn’t control them or keep them quiet. Do yourself a favor… skip this hotel and stay at the Residence Inn that is literally right next door. It might cost a few dollars more… but if you want to get some sleep and not get woken up at the crack of dawn… it will be well worth the extra money.

The staff was great, the room was clean, and the location was convenient. The only negative was the bed. It was well worn out and needed replacement.

Loved the hotel. The room was spacious and beautiful. Room had a coffee maker and a refrigerator. Indoor pool was smaller than expected but still great. It opened early!(Kids loved that) Complimentary breakfast was delicious– scrambled eggs, belgian waffles, sausage, bagels, muffins, English toast, cereal, yogurt… I truly wished I could have stayed another night. I have no complaints. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Need more towels, called front desk and in less than 5 minutes some one was at my door. Needed a pool towel and within 7 minutes the pool towels were reshocked! Truly a hidden gem!

Rooms are tiny, comparable to nyc hotel room sizes. Guests were up at all hours of the night, so between that and the bed, did not get much sleep. Front desk was friendly though and it’s close enough to walkable restaurants.

A-OK pretty much sums it up. Not awesome, but not bad. The breakfast was pretty good. The pool was very chlorinated. The staff was nice. No problems. No regrets. There were a couple of wedding groups staying there, and I was worried about late night after-parties, but I heard nothing, and slept peacefully. The hotel is pretty basic, but not bad.

Just stayed there Thanksgiving. I must say, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We drove in from RI and got there pretty early(9:30a). They were nice enough to check us in right away so we could get the baby down for a nap. You really can’t beat that. Free breakfast that was actually good. Room was clean. Bathroom shower was a bit dirty looking. Like it could use a hard scrub. But, that’s the only thing from making it five stars.

Friendly staff. Hotel is bit old and needs some repairs. The bathroom door of the room I stayed in didn’t close all the way. Overall good experience.

Third stay in 4 years when visiting from Florida. Very consistent Nice breakfast. Great clean rooms. Good staff. The prices can vary so when there is demand expect to pay.

Stayed at the hotel to attend my cousin’s wedding and from the moment we went inside the staff was super friendly and informative about their services. The room was super clean and didn’t have any weird smells or anything. After a couple of hours of us being there we thought the AC was broken and when we called the front desk they rapidly sent the technician and were very much willing to switch us to another room if they couldn’t fix the problem. The technician took care and of the situation and after much dancing at the wedding and dying to lay in bed to sleep we came back to a very nice cool room. The next day my husband woke up with a really bad stomach ache and when I went downstairs to ask if they had vending machines with some over the counter medications they were quick to try to find something for him in their first aid kit. That to me was priceless. Breakfast was good but could definitely use some more food choices for the guests(this is the only reason why I am giving it 4 stars). Check out was a TOTALBREEZE. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely consider it on my next trip down there.

under-impressed. priced average for a room. … but all the furniture in the room was stained. the rooms were noisy — could hear the the traffic on a busy road all night long. the breakfast was mediocre. and they charged us for a «lock box» we didn’t use. the bed seemed clean & was comfy though, the girl at check-in was friendly & the shampoo & lotion were of good quality.
