Probably the cheapest place to get things custom framed. Luckily I have the luxury of living 20 minutes from their HQ so I don’t have to cough up for shipping and I can bring the pieces to them to make doubly sure the measurements are right. I mainly went there because I didn’t want to spend $ 9 shipping to send something 15 miles up the road. Hilariously they ended up mailing it to me anyway. Saved me a trip to go back down there… and they do a great job so they’ve earned my repeat business. The assembly instructions are simple for anyone who knows how to use a screwdriver and ignore the other person whining that you need wire cutters… you can cut the hang wire with a pair of reasonably decent scissors. It’s not rocket science. Just watch out because the frame, glass, and backing is charged separately so it can add up if you pick fancier options… but they’re still far better on price than most places!

I’ve ordered twice from them — the first time I added 1⁄8 inch to the poster measurement and the frame fit perfectly. The second time I put in the exact specs and the poster did not fit. I managed to squeeze it into the frame but you can tell it is not lying flat. I know they say on their website to simply give the exact measurements, but I would add on a fraction of an inch. Regarding assembly, it took me half an hour the first time, but only 15 mins the second time. Once you figure out how it works, it’s not too difficult.

First off, I love their website. Easy to navigate and use. So my experience was actually great. I order my frame from them online and it arrived quickly. Unlike some of the other reviews below I found the instructions easy to follow and I had no problems getting it put together. The frame is excellent quality for the price and I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Forget about ordering their frames unless you are REALLY good at assembling. And you LOVE the idea of spending a good half-hour following the video instructions online, as the written instructions are impossible unless you are a professional framer to start with. You will also need a screwdriver and wire cutter. There is nothing fast and easy about this product. If companies can ship furniture, can’t this company ship a fully assembled 9×12 frame? Give us the option of paying extra for that service. And if you need to return, there is a 25% restocking fee. Give me a break. If you have to pay your employees extra to make a note in the computer and return a frame to a shelf, build that into your price. We’re not talking refrigerators here. Would NEVER order from them again. Totally frustrating experience.

Big mistake. Although I followed the specifications on their website, the frame I received was 5⁄16 too narrow, taking into account the 3⁄16 they say will be hidden behind the frame. Although, they cover themselves by say«approximate», this is not going to work for me. When I brought my concerns, they have all the arguments why they are correct. I placed a second shipment, but will refuse due to their poor customer service(what if I have a problem with that one, too)? Beware, if you are not happy with your frame or they are not cut according to the specifications on their website, YOU will be responsible for the return shipping AND a 25 percent restocking fee. What a rip-off. I also found the attitude to be very condescending, he even had the nerve to tell me width means ‘left to right’. Really? The least they could do if they got the dimensions WRONG, is cover the return shipping and/or waive the restocking fee and apologize. If you have room for forgiveness with the size you are ordering, maybe they are for you. I won’t be shopping here again.

Frames for just about anything. Having recently decided to get some artwork out of their storage containers /tubes /foam boards that they have been hiding in, I was in need of frames in a variety of standard and custom sizes. After visiting some local stores for stock sizes and coming up short, I started looking in frame shops — and was shocked by some of the costs for«custom» frames… I did some hunting on the net and found Poster Frame and after about 10 minutes of monkeying around, I was able to pick what I wanted and checkout and all for a reasonable cost. Three days later the frame arrives and the fit was perfect. This assumes, of course, that you can do the initial measuring accurately in the first place, but if you can, you should be pleased with the results. I’m ready to go back for more and now I’m going to get a little more involved with matting so this should be both fun and interesting. Recap: custom frames, decent costs, delivered quick. Perfecto.
