My husband and I have been regular customers of the Derry Applebees for years. Always sit at the bar. Love two of the bartenders. Mike and Ashley. They are friendly, quick and very competent. The menu has recently had some changes and the new wood fired steaks are excellent, as are quite a few other items on the menu including the grilled veggies. Highly recommend you give them a try and sit at the bar.

My sister and I came here for apps before a movie and there wasn’t anything particularly wrong it just wasn’t good. Somehow they burned the nachos and they just threw some lettuce on to cover it up. The mozzarella sticks were fine and the spinach artichoke dip was OK but everything had an immense amount of salt. Everything was just microwaved. The server was very nice but took a pretty long time to take our order. It was just ok overall.

This is hands down the BEST Applebee’s I have been to. And let me tell you, I’ve been to my fare share of Applebee’s. I believe our server’s name was Jeffrey. This guy is the perfect combination of funny, while maintaining a fine level of professionalism. The food is piping hot. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining family environment!

Nothing against this place, always clean and the staff has been nice. I feel like the good quality has declined over the last few years. Been back a couple times and i always feel rough if not sick after. I’m sure there are some safe bets like having a beer at the bar, i can’t trust the meals anymore.

Ive been going to this one off and on for years and always has a good experience. One of my last visits I had the steak and shrimp covered in parmesan and it was cooked to perfection. My friend was dissatisfied with her meal and the response of the food runner(another waitress), but ours was awesome! Forget her name, was a couple months ago. Hey boyfriend cooked my steak though! :)

Kinda like an old pair of jeans. Not the best but you know what you are getting and there is no surprises. There really is not much need to review this place, its exactly like you think its gonn be.

As good as it gets for an Applebee’s. These other negative reviews are laughable. First off, it’s Applebees, don’t get pasta, duh. Second off it’s going to be salty, you’re talking about a company that has recipes mass produced for over 1000 locations. That’s like complaining about fries being salty at McDonalds. Another review says that his mind was blown because the server forgot straws! Get out much dude? Here is the real story about Applebee’s. There are currently 3 good Applebee’s locations in SNH. Derry, Plaistow, and Epping. If you are going to an Applebee’s for a great steak, or a wonderful pasta dish, you need to get out more. Applebee’s is good for edible salads, decent burgers, good rot-gut apps, and deals. That’s it. Oh, and generally they are ok on beer prices. The servers are usually ok, and if you don’t like something and complain, the managers are competent enough to take it off the check. And, to the lady who stated that the boneless wings were good, but nothing more than boneless bites, when did you become a «boneless wing» connoisseur? Is there a standard for boneless wing sizes? In my 20+ years in restaurants, I’ve found them to all be the same size as Applebee’s. In fact, Applebee’s and several other restaurant chains use the same Tyson frozen boneless wing product. I give it 5 stars because I am judging and Applebee’s as an Applebees’.

Siigh. I consider myself a patient person and I try not to nit pick but I’m paying for this experience, so… I’m going to nit pick. Ok. We arrived on Sunday(yesterday). 5pm. Not that busy, but there were two groups ahead of us waiting to be acknowledged by the hostess. For about fifteen minutes we stood waiting for someone to ask us «how many?» This is what my husband and I call your typical«Sunday Crew” – they have no idea wtf they’re doing. Maybe they were new? Not used to counting and seating people? I don’t know. With plenty of open seats and only a few patrons, we were scratching our heads. Drinks. Don’t get the iced tea or lemonade. Raspberry, and Kiwi, respectively. DISGUSTING. Too sweet and not enough like actual kiwi. Waited forrevvverrr for food to come out. Apps: Buffalo chicken bites were good! «Boneless wings» is an over-statement. They’re bites. Three cheese chicken penne: Good, but very salty. Woke up this morning drier than a desert. Everyone else seemed content with their meals, except for the salt content(too much). Sunday Crew got the job done, but it was pretty painful.

I went this past Sunday afternoon and overall it was a ok experience. I believe the Plaistow one is better but that’s just my opinion. The waiter was very friendly but forgot straws which is mind blowing to me but it’s fine. My food was great I usually get the Mac and cheese with chicken tenders on top. Now after we left my friend did get sick but we don’t know if it was from the burger or something else he ate during the day. It was very busy and the place had a good vibe but there’s other restaurants where you can get a better experience at.

Curbside service is the way to go. Fast, friendly service! I read a lot of the reviews, seems most of them revolve around the«bar atmosphere». One reviewer talked about the crowd… At the bar… While I agree it isn’t Cheers, if you go to Applebees looking for an upscale crowd at the bar, my suggestion is you may have a drinking problem…

Considering«this is the place you go when you don’t want to warm up your frozen food yourself», we have to set expectations… Good preprocessed food, and a beer at times when other places are already closed. That’s Applebee’s and that what we all like(or dislike?) about it.

I would rather eat off the floor of a port-a-potty. This is perhaps one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to in my entire life. I ordered a pasta dish that was new to the menu and god awful. I felt bad for my waiter since it wasn’t his fault the food was so bad or that his manager is a complete idiot. When I told the manager about how terrible the pasta dish was, she said that she has received a lot of complaints about the dish. When I asked her why they don’t tell people that it’s bad or take it off the menu, she gave me a blank stare. This restaurant should be demolished and turned into a parking lot as it would be more useful.

Ordered a blackened steak and it was supposed to be medium… it came to the table with no pink inside to speak of, all gray and tough like it was microwaved. I didn’t taste the seasoning either. I decided not to send it back because it took so long to get to the table… and also since we were seated next to a table full of drunks spilling drinks and yelling at each other. If I do go back, I will stick to the appetizers or salads… my bad for thinking I could get a decent steak at Applebee’s!

Wow, this is the hangout for every underpaid, under educated moron in the area. I’m on business and I just want to get a drink with a client and we are nearly getting in fights because management has no control over their restaurant or clientele. Terrible atmosphere. Bad news.

«Bro, Jose Aldo is the man!» Or… «You think I could get into a tighter tap out shirt?» OR, «VTEC!!!» This is the typical conversation you will hear at this Applebees. I couldn’t tell you how the food is because every time I have tried to go there to eat its been packed with«Just 21» kids or kids that think they are Paul Walker.

Went there recently for drinks and an appetizer. Service was better. They recently renovated this establishment. I like the outside better and the lights inside. The wall décor is ok.

Mistake. Tonight I made a mistake. I went to Applebee’s and expecting a neighborhood bar and grill atmosphere. I was let down to find that prior to posted closing hours the front doors were locked. On the way to my car I check the side door and found it open. As I entered the restaurant which was occupied by a half dozen patrons with fresh pictures of beer I was questioned by the bar tender asking what we wanted… which was quickly followed by «we are closed.» I found myself upset that my guest and I picked Applebee’s due to its location and known hours. I asked for a managers card out of frustration. I was told by the bartender«there over there» motioning to a table by the door As I exited I requested to speak to a manager. The manager, after making me feel like a fool in front of other patrons attempted to solve the situation with a «free appetizer.» I don’t want free food or free beverages. I want the service that is advertized. Conclusion, support a true neighborhood business. Not a chain. Especially if you want a neighborhood feel.

I ordered chicken tender plate or platter or whatever they call it. The fries were ok but the chicken was really bad. Didn’t taste good at all. The honey mustard was also pretty gross. And the cole slaw. .. about as bad as cole slaw could get. And i didn’t even run into any of these horny teenagers that karen r saw. I didn’t take off any stars for that though, my stars are all food-quality based.
