Thoroughly disappointed. Extraordinarily loud even when it was half empty. Waited a long time for our drink order to be taken. Out of certain menu items. They delivered me son’s au jus sandwich and said«We are out of the au jus is that okay?» No it wasn’t. Don’t tell us as everyone gets their food. Too late. Then waited a long time for drink refills. Breakfast sausage was awful – how is that even possible? Never had bad breakfast sausage anywhere till this place. Chicken fried chicken was bland. The dumplings were prison-grade slop. My wife’s pork chop was bland and unseasoned. SERVICEPOOR. ATMOSPHEREPOOR. FOODPOOR. Never going back.

I last visited a Cracker Barrel 2 years ago in Florida, and I remember how amazing the food was. I forgot about the chain, and when I found out about the NH location, I drove 30 minutes out of the way to go and get the food I loved so much when I was in Florida! I don’t know if it’s a regional thing or not(it can’t be easy to find great Southern food in the Northeast), but the food was extremely disappointing. I went in between lunch and dinner and there were a few tables around. I was sat and served in a timely fashion. My server was extremely nice and helpful, but I’m not sure what her name was. She brought me my drinks along with a biscuit and a piece of cornbread. The biscuit was alright, and the cornbread was a bit dry. I ordered a country fried steak and gravy, served with 2 eggs(over easy), grits, fried apples, and the hash brown casserole with a cup of coffee. My food came up extremely fast(like 5 minutes?), which was surprising since I ordered steak. The table next to me ordered steak as well and also got their food even quicker than I did! The fact steak took such little time to prepare was the first bad sign. I was informed by my server that they were out of biscuits and that they would be ready in 10 minutes. No worries, not her fault. The apples were nothing special, the grits were disgusting, and so was the steak. It wasn’t steak at all… it was a bunch of random meat pieces thrown together and fried. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites because it was that gross. Don’t think you are getting real steak, it was like those gross frozen sausage patties. The only redeeming qualities about the meal were the eggs and the hash brown casserole. I finished those but I was unable to finish the steak or grits because it was that gross, and I lost my appetite for the apples. When the waitress came back, she told me that the biscuits would still not be ready for an additional 10 minutes. I expressed my disappointment about the rest of the meal nicely and she asked me if there was anything she could do. I just took the check because I wanted to leave. The meal put me down $ 19 including the tip and I definitely will not be going back. It could just be this location, I’m not sure. I might give another location a try, but I’m definitely not going back to this location again. Two stars for the nice service and the hash brown casserole.

Have to say we were extremely disappointed; this is always a highlight on our way home from our twice yearly family trips to the White Mountains. Although the place was packed, we weren’t concerned, even if the service was a little slow. I ordered the«Sunrise Sampler,» envisioning the usual heaped platter; what I received was a plate with what looked like the leftovers of scrambled eggs, a ¼ of a piece of Thin(not thick the place is noted for) bacon, a sausage patty the size of a quarter, and a slice of ham smaller than a piece of monopoly money, had to ask twice for the biscuits, which only arrived after the waitress had taken an order from a nearby table and I had eaten what was edible. The others in my party had similar experiences; we also overheard a waitress telling an elderly woman that they don’t recommend soda which is why they only offer diet… not what we’re used to… couldn’t give anything less than 1 star or I would have

Country fried steak, is that even real meat, or some kind of pressed or formed processed thing? Wife ordered breakfast, her food was cold. This was on a Friday night at 5 pm not a full house by any stretch. Do not recommend.

I was impressed. The hospitality at many of the restaurants can be lacking. The food was great on my visit and the wait staff was above average and went above and beyond expectations

Have to say this was a much better experience than our first visit year several years ago. Food was good, our server Bobbie was prompt and efficient, especially when it came to topping up coffee cups. Extremely loud though. You’d think it was happy hour at a bar. Came for breakfast, before seeing our family off at the airport to return to Toronto. The breakfast menu is somewhat limited if you’re not into pancakes or French toast. No omelettes. But they had a summer menu with a few different options. Three of us tried the maple pepper bacon breakfast sandwich. I don’t go for a lot of bacon most of the time, but this one was quite tasty(not so sour sourdough notwithstanding) and the sandwich was very filling. Mom-in-law enjoyed the strawberries ‘n cream French toast. Hubby had the sunrise sampler. And bro-in-law had the same with a side order of blueberry pancakes. Those were a disappointment for him, being half the size of ones he has had at Cracker Barrels in Florida and Pennsylvania. Even Bobbie acknowledged that they should be bigger, but that’s as far as it went. Everyone was happy otherwise. It’s not a place we frequent, but I know when the family returns they will want to eat here again.

July 02, 2015, we had the meatloaf, country fried chicken, mac and cheese, mash potatoes, corn, corn muffins and biscuits. Everything was delicious, you have to go and have lunch or dinner.

What a lousy manager in this place. He has a great wait staff an treats them badly. When the dining room is slammed and wait staff slim, he can’t even pick up a dirty dish and help buss tables. He can walk around and do nothing. Poor management in my business world… It was said after I saw him walking around that he was helping in the kitchen, well the he needs to clean the grill there because the food came taste ing like it was cooked on a dirty grill.

First time ever at a Cracker Barrel. Overall, I liked it. I got country fried steak with two sides. It was a ton of food and heavy, but what do you expect at a cracker barrel. The waitress got my sides wrong, but that’s okay. I still ate it. They have a lot of choices when it comes to food. Staff is nice, but now I know what it is like to have been at a cracker barrel.

Everyone that drives along 95 from NH to FL has seen these places. Very Consistent as to the food. Service is up in the air as its usually crowded and has a high turnover rate. Really like the chicken tenderloins and the breakfast are always good. Decent place to go!

We went tonight last minute, because it’s thanksgiving and we haven’t had power for 24 hours. When we walked in it was a zoo. They quoted us a 90 minute wait which ended up being 2 hours. Once seated the food came out a little disjointed but the staff had said they were not prepared for the sheer volume of people, they said they were never that busy on Thanksgiving but with so many people without power everyone went there. The staff was as efficient as they could be given the circumstances. Our waitress Meredith was adorable, she was as good as she could be and very understanding and efficient. One single elderly lady was giving her name just as we were about to be seated, they quoted her two hours and she said she couldn’t wait that long she was diabetic. I was impressed with the hostess who apologized than offered her a drink, orange juice, a bandanna whatever she could get her to make her more comfortable. I thought this was very thoughtful, and over and above what some places might do given the circumstances. We invited her to sit with us since she was all alone and we had a splendid time with her. We were in a few weeks ago and I remarked how good the food and service were that’s why we came back for thanksgiving. A++ for effort CB, senior management ought to be proud of how you handled yourselves tonight.

There were 4 of us for an early dinner. The service was very good. Our meals came out quickly and were exactly what we ordered. We had a Salad, Reuben, and the Country Fried Steak dinner. Each person was very happy with their meal. It is good home-style food that is very reasonably priced. It is also nice that they offer breakfast all day. We also love to browse the store when we are there. There are so many unique things at very reasonable prices. I especially enjoy being able to show my kids the old-time toys and candies. Cracker Barrel is a favorite — good food, reasonably priced, a walk down memory lane and then are on our way. It is one place that the entire family wants to visit.

Not bad. Slow service. I liked the nicknacks in the store. I walked away with a few early christmas gifts, slippers and a coffeemug. My grits never came, but the food I received was good.

I’ve been here many times over the past 10 years and normally have decent experiences. The food is good comfort food, and service is decent. I rate this at a 3 because my last visit was on a very slow Monday night, we were the only table in our server’s section and were only checked on as we were finishing… there was no point in getting refills. The biggest issue of all is that I got two fish filets, which were delicious… but gave me food poisoning. I was sick for about 4 – 5 days after the fact. My advice, go on weekends or busier nights…

Pretty much the normal CB that you can find down South with some Yankee charm thrown in for good measure. Breakfast was ok today… apple streusel French Toast was not even as described in the menu. $ 2.19 for a tea that you don’t a refill offer on is unacceptable. Not happy about this visit.

I’ve eaten here a few times over the years. It has gotten progressively worse. This last time, I was out with my wife and mother. I had a «shrimp platter» with overfried shrimp and some odd«balls» of something that weren’t shrimp and indefinable. My rice pilaf was dry and reheated. They forgot my coleslaw. My wife’s mashed potatoes were at least a day old, dry, and the«dumplings» were just strips of wet flour. They forgot her coleslaw too. Upon complaining about the mashed potatoes, the waitressed apologized but offered nothing to rectify it. My mother had a «vegetable platter» which was a plate with a side container of vegetables that she was supposed to dump on the plate. None of these were good, and we’re not ever going back.

This place has gone downhill. The last 3 times I’ve been there they have either messed up our order, not cooked it right, or forgot to give us some of our order. And we don’t get the corn muffins till our meal is almost done. The manager never even came over to see what the problem was. Don’t think I nor my family will be back anytime soon!

Good food at a grace price in a cozy environment. Almost all the waitresses are friendly and attentive. The loss of a star is due to the check out process, which is nothing short of a pain at this location.

Cracker Barrel is a childhood favorite [low key] restaurant. This is my first time at a New Hampshire location(only been to many of the MA locations), and needless to say I was a bit disappointed. Service was soooo slow. It took about 10 minutes to get waters and over 30 minutes to get two(what should be) quick sandwiches. There was barely anyone in the restaurant as it was Christmas Eve day, and two tables who came after us got food before us. Cracker Barrel is(or maybe, was) one of my all time favorites for chicken salad, and the Londonderry version was extremely watery and missing a decent amount of actual chicken salad. The sourdough bread was not that toasty or buttery, and it was cold by the time I got it. After all of my hype on how great Cracker Barrel is, my boyfriend’s first trip was quite a disappointment.
