Joe Mac, a senior inspector, came to our house to give us an estimate for mold (we smelled something in our bathroom). Upon 5 minutes of looking in our attic, he told us that we a level 1 issue and it would cost approximately $ 6,000 to fix it. We had a second opinion come the next day — we have ZERO MOLD! He then did a 5 minute radon test (radon cannot be tested in 5 minutes) and told us that our levels were extremely elevated and «Off the record, I would have put this house on the market yesterday. If you retire here you will die of lung cancer in your 80s.» This was also said in front of our two toddlers.
He used scare tactics on young parents and we feel targeted. He is unprofessional, dishonest and should not be working as a sales person. Had we not gotten a second opinion, we would have spent $ 6000 on a mold issue that does not exist. In addition, he took advantage of a young family by using scare tactics to make his sale and created panic in our household.
I would NEVER recommend PIC Home Pros. They have dishonest and unprofessional sales associates.
