I recently bought a PS2 for some retro gaming fun. «Retro» is kind of a stretch, I know, but we’ll be all the way up to PS4 soon, so I think it qualifies. I had also bought an N64 for the bf a few months ago. The last few weeks have been a lot of hours of gaming bliss. We’ve also spent a lot of time at Pink Gorilla and Gamestop, hunting for some good games and equipment. Dpad Gaming is priced very competitively — I could’ve paid a few bucks less for one game if I had got it on Amazon, but I prefer being able to have it immediately, test it, and return it if it proved defective, with no shipping hassles. I bought a game I’ve never played before that was so inexpensive, I feel like even if I don’t end up liking it, I haven’t really wasted my money. I walked out with 2 games, the bf got 1, and a memory pak for the N64. All items work flawlessly and we’re pretty satisfied. The selection is not huge, but there’s some quality stuff there. They have consoles of every kind(seriously, every kind). They also allow gaming in-store, and they do a game night every week. They said they’re working on getting«adult beverages» allowed for these events as well, which is always fun. They’ll take trades as well. In short, anyone looking for some used games should check this place out. Prices are good, people are hella chill. I’ll probably pop back in every so often to see what people bring in. The good thing about older consoles is that there’s a finite number of games I’ll want to buy… but then again, eventually the PS3 and XBOX360 will be «retro» too, right? Dammit.
