After ordering 3 meals in the drive thru I was told that there would be a 10 min wait. The drive thru worker asked me to pull into a parking spot and wait. She did not give us any of the 3 drinks we ordered. It has been 25 mins and we still haven’t seen anyone coming with our food or drinks. This is totally unacceptable for a fast food restaurant. At 6:47, 37 mins waiting I called into the store where the employee told me it would be right out. It’s 6:55 and we are still waiting. Now it’s been 45 mins At 7:07 it had been just under an hour of waiting. I called back the store and they told me that the must’ve given my food to another car. So I just asked for my money back. What a joke. I just wasted an hour and still no food. Apparently KFC needs some serious help

I’m quite honest surprised that it’s still open making money considering you have to wait 40 minutes just to get your food they are always out of everything I have called and made a formal complaint against them with the corporate office.

I see some mixed reviews here on Unilocal.My experience here today, not a good one. Bad communication going on and since I’ve already paid, I sit and wait longer than originally told. Why aren’t they cooking enough chicken since they are a busy store? Better preparation would be in order. I’m sorry I can’t give a good review today.

They said I have to wait for them to «repair» the cash register in order for them to make orders; it’s been 20 minutes and none of the employees wanted to ring us up, if you want your customers to be happy, then hand write the orders up then put it in later when the machine is fixed. The worst thing is that there’s a game and I’m just casually waiting here.

Horrific service — I went at lunch time and they were out of food! The drive-thru person was extremely rude and shocked that I had to wait for my food. This has not been the first time the service has been bad at this location. If it’s not getting the order right, then it is the treatment of the customer. They act like the customer is interrupting their day by showing up — do they realize that the customer is the one that ensures they get a paycheck? Very entitled attitude with little to zero customer service capability.

This is the WORST kfc and customer service ever. They need to either train their workers better or just hire new people. Me and my boyfriend goes here once a week and now after a few months we have decided to never go here again! It’s always the same thing over and over. Either the chicken isn’t fresh– you can tell by how dark the skin of the chicken and how the skin is coming off, or they always get our order wrong. Not trying to sound rude but seriously how hard is it to throw chicken and side items that are pre made into a box?! Whenever we go inside to eat it always at least take us 30 mins to get our food. Because there’s always only 1 person in the front counter. If drive thru doesn’t have customers tell me why they aren’t helping the front counter and instead on their phones near the drive thru window, ha. Everytime I called to let them know they messed up on my order they seem to be real snooty towards me. The worst ever. The funny thing is I used to work at kfc as a shift supervisor and i know better… smdh. Management really need to do something about this place! And these are the people that want to get paid 15 $/hr… you’re a joke, no wonder why you work here, you can’t even put shit together!

This is a pretty great KFC, atleast for how old the building is and how ghetto the area is. This is a very busy KFC, and by very busy, I mean this is the busiest KFC I have ever been to. They seem to be pretty short staffed, but they keep their composure and stay optimistic even during the craziest/busiest hours. They’ve gotten a few of my orders wrong in the past years I’ve gone here, but hey, it’s a fast food establishment, there’s always bound to be mistakes, and they have no problem either replacing your order or giving you what they have forgotten. We should remember that fast food restaurants in this area deal with more than they bargain for. The employees are very young adults and they deal with terrible customers all the time(from what I’ve seen when I eat-in), and that’s a lot of stress for kids working at this age. The place can be a mess sometimes, but from what I’ve seen, that’s because there’s many homeless people that walk in, and completely trash their restrooms, and the fact that this KFC location is in the ghetto does not help at all. Majority of the customers I’ve seen pass by are extremely ghetto, with ghetto ethics, and I’ve seen them eat-in and just make an entire mess in the dining area, and not care to clean up after themselves at all. And worst of all it seems to happen when the employees look like they’re busting their asses behind the counter trying to catch up on cooked chicken and side dishes. All in all, I’m rating based upon the effort given by the employees. This is a great KFC, and I will continue to dine here with my family. And here’s the key rule when you eat here: Treat others the way you want to be treated, and you will be rewarded

This might be one of the worst KFCs if not one of the worst fast food establishments ever. They are rude, slow, and constantly run out of chicken(what if Burger King told you they were out of burgers!?) but tonight was the kicker. I pull up to the drive thru at 8:30pm. All I want is a soda, we dont keep it at home and i had a craving and we all know its best from a fountain. Well i hear the sound click on then off and then I proceed to stare at the talk box and the sign telling me the drive thru is open til 10 for 5 minutes! I said«hello» a couple times but no answer. Finally I bail and as I drive around front i can clearly see employees working but the Open sign is off. The least you can do if you are closing 1.5 hours early for whatever reason would be to perhaps put a sign on the talk box, or turn off the lit menus or even better come on the speaker and let the poor person know!

I ordered 8pc meal but I found there were just 2pc and gravy when I got to home. I thought I was gonna go claim it but I decided to never go anymore instead. It was not the first time and they’ve received an order incorrectly ten times. Thank you KFC Des Moines for the GREAT experiences.

This could be the worst KFC on the planet, but I wouldn’t know because I refuse to go back to any KFC location due to the poor service I ALWAYS get here. Bottom line is, the don’t give a shit. A shit about: cleanliness, accuracy, politeness, having food available, anything. I doubt ill ever go to a KFC again. The experiences here have only deepened my hatred for PepsiCo. They don’t care about anything but profit, so why try and fix it? Col. Sanders is rolling over in his grave. This place is as ghetto as it gets.

I’ve come here several times and always have a good experience. The food is always cooked properly and comes in a reasonable timeframe. The staff are helpful and friendly and seem to like working there.

Chicken is the new bread. Yes it is! And why? Because I said so and the Double Down does the job to slow your arteries faster than that old KFC meal you would normally get. The chicken is the bomb, so are the mash potatoes, biscuits with honey and butter, the hot sauce(much like Frank’s), and of course the Double Down. The place is clean. There was plenty of chicken to go around. Belly is full and very, very happy.
