Taqueria Veracruz

Taqueria Veracruz is super tasty, and the service friendly and fast. I ordered the al pastor, lengua and cabesa tacos. The pastor was my least favorite because it was a little dry. The cabesa and lengua were flavorful, tender, and juicy. I also had an orchata drink. It was cold, sweet and yummy. Definitely give this place a try!

This taco truck is located in the parking lot of a convenience store located at Cleveland Avenue & E 14^th street. The people here were really nice. I had asked the man what type of taco he recommended. He said many people get the carne taco. I wasnt particulary interested in what everyone else in Des Moines ordered though. I wanted to know what the man thought was tasty to him! He said he recommended the cabeza which was listed on their menu as beef head. Cabeza is actually beef cheeks. He offered me a little taste and it was delicious! So I ordered the cabeza, al pastor, and a carne. Everything was delicious! My new favorite meat is beef cheeks!
Oh, one last thing, they have the best salsa out of all the other food trucks I’ve tried. They even gave me guacamole sauce!
