Great location Price: Look to spend about $ 8 for a sandwich. Parking: Street. or structure. Service: Decent. Order at the register & pick up. Drinks: N/A Notes: Great view of the riverwalk, but the food isn’t very tasty in my opinion.

This is definitely the kind of place you go to for the view. On a nice summer day you really can’t beat sitting on the river with a cold beer, people and bird watching. The sandwich options they had for lunch were few and far between, but they have the usual standbys. The turkey I chose was really good considering they’re pre-prepared.

The view is to die for. That is worth going in and of itself. There are limited options for food and drink(especially drink), but if you just want a beer and don’t care what it is, and you want to enjoy a great view while drinking it, this is a great place.

Great spot on the river. Terrible food. Screwed up hours… it would help if they posted their correct hours of business. Seems they operate based on who is working that day/nighr. Also, I called today to check on their hours… a woman answered with«yah?». I asked if I had the Hub and she responded again with«yah«. Geez! Give that concession to some professionals to run!

We were downtown, just getting done with dinner at the olive! We wanted to try this place out, people were in there, doors were open, the seating area was still open, sign on the door said closes at 10 on Saturday. It was 8:45pm walked in and we were going to order something and the lady said they were closed! I told her they needed to change the sign on the door then. I won’t be back to try it out. I’m not sure if they just didn’t want to wait on us or what, but it was my first impression and I wasn’t impressed. There’s lot of bars to go to downtown! I’m basing my star just on the fact that they said they were closed, when clearly the door said 10 and there were people inside.

A great spot with a great river view. Modern vibe with great indoor and outdoor(covered) seating. Super friendly staff. Good music. Free wifi(though it could be a little faster). They serve wine and beer in addition to the normal coffee shop stuff. I was visiting from out of town and I thought this place was great, as it gives you a good view of Des Moines and the river!

There are many nice things about the Riverwalk Hub: it is a beautiful building, the views are magnificent, when the weather allows you can sit on the nice patio, and there is some cool art work in the surrounding area. It is a great spot for a date as you can get a couple glasses of wine or beer and sit on the patio and maybe walk along the river. The kitchen is very small, however, and the menu is therefore limited. Furthermore, they say they want to sell local beers/wines, but they only represent a a couple breweries(no Exile?). My tip: go to the Riverwalk Hub during Shakespeare in the Park or during a concert at Simon Estes. You can hear/see most of the concerts from the patio while enjoying your drink. Cheers!

This is one of my favorite places to take visitors or hang out with friends! Love the local draft beers and the surroundings, which makes it a perfect place to start an evening before a concert at Wells Fargo Arena or show at the Civic Center. The building is modern and adjacent to the Principal Riverwalk. The views of the arched bridges, surrounding Beaux Arts style buildings and stunning art is spectacular! A Des Moines gem! Last week, I took my laptop to a meeting to find the juice had ran out. We were sitting out on the patio and the manager was so helpful by running an extension cord to the table! Simply amazing service! The only negative I can think of is going down there to find it closed for a private party(there are other nearby restaurants/bars – without this view).

I love the Des Moines Riverwalk and the Riverwalk Hub is a fantastic spot to work from, have a coffee, have brew, or eat something. Located right on the Des Moines river facing the East Village this is one of the most beautiful spots in Des Moines to have lunch! They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating and on Saturday’s during the Farmers Market they now have a Bloody Mary Bar. During the winter they have a nice warm fire place to warm your toes while you work! This is a must stop for a brew with a view!

If you are looking for a super casual, but fun night out – you must try out the Hub! It’s situated right on the river and provides lovely views of the city. Lots of outdoor & indoor seating available. Select a beverage(coffee, beer, wine), food(cheese/meat plate, sandwiches) and sit back & relax. The two ladies working the night we dined were great helping us navigate the menu. Warm nights are disappearing quickly, so go and enjoy the final nights of summer at the Hub! ps: meter parking is FREE after 6pm. i heart iowa!

Neat place to stop for a beer or a cup of coffee, but they’ll have to figure something out with a menu. The only sandwich they had when my wife and I stopped by was a salmon and dill sandwich. No thanks. Opted for a pretty unspectacular salad from a plastic container. If they get a small menu figured out, it will be a great spot to stop and relax.
