Caruso’s Pizza

Normally, Caruso’s normally delivers within an hour but today it took over 90 minutes to get 2 orders of Jalapeño Poppers delivered. When I called after an hour, I was told that my food just left with the driver. It still took an extra 30 minutes to get my food. At no point was I told it would take this long. I don’t mind waiting as long as I am informed about a wait especially when I am hungry. I will order from here again as this is the first time they took longer than an hour. The 1L of RC with my order is always a PLUS with Caruso’s.

I love this place! We order delivery from here all the time, and every time it’s great! We tried the margarita pizza last night, the fresh mozzarella and basil were delicious! We also ordered the toasted cheese ravioli and they were amazing. Crispy outside, and warm cheesy inside! Definitely worth trying!

I always order delivery, the pizza is always warm ! The wings are to DIE for, it is amaziinnnnnggg I love the taste of the wings they’re really big not to mention, the pizza has such a good taste. We’ve ordered 2 times in a row just because it was that delicious ! If you get it delivered tell them that you get a 1 liter of pop ! It’s free !

Probably the best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had. I used to live in the area when I was a kid and moved away and always missed this place! I moved back a few years ago and enjoyed the pizza at least once a month. And sadly now I’ve moved away and miss this place terribly! The crust is perfectly thin. The sauce is absolutely perfect! Not too sweet or acidic. The toppings were always a perfect amount. Their cheesy beef was fantastic. Cheese fries and fries were always perfectly salted and crispy. The fried cauliflower was to die for! The pastas were always perfect and piping hot when delivered. This is definitely THE pizza place to go to if you’re in the area.

Yummy pizza. Love the thin crust and the servce. Good combination of sauce, cheese, crust. This is located right behind jiffy lube on potter and golf. Not that many ppl know about this place so spread the word!

Love this place. Service has been great and the pizza reminds me a place in Rogers Park called Villa Palermo. You get a free bottle of RC also. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

Great pizza! The delivery guys are starting to know my name and address I order so often from here. I’m originally from Chicago and spoiled as in pizza taste but Caruso’s definitely delivers! By far best pizza I have had in the burbs. As for other food on the menu it’s really good and decently priced.

Fast delivery and great pizza. Ordered from here several times since moving to the Des Plaines area and definitely will again next time we have company and just want to order some pizzas.

Not what I wanted from a neighborhood joint. Pizza flavor profile was abysmal. Oddly enough the pizza had two different tastes depending where you bit into it at.
The two different tastes were:
–Bad sausage
–unappealing sauce
Toppings: Cheese, inconsistent and lacking. Sausage, odd taste possibly old not fresh
Sauce: Unimpressive
Crust: Ok, nothing special one way or the other

I’m going to borrow Unilocal’s phrase of «Whoohoo! As good as it gets!» Indeed, Caruso’s is just that. Great pizza, great food, great service. I’ve been going to Caruso’s for nearly 20 years (or maybe more). I found out that they opened only a few months before I first tried it and I have been hooked every since. Jack (the owner) is a great guy and always has the best ingredients on hand to make excellent pizza.
My favorite? Garlic, pepperoni, onion and sausage. An explosion of flavor goodness.
I also love their cheesy garlic bread.
I also order a salad with extra garlic sauce. Sensing a theme? Yes, I love garlic. And Caruso’s does it right across the board.
Their Italian beef is also excellent. I had it again tonight (with extra sweet peppers) and I’m happily stuffed.
You can eat there (it’s a small place, but there are tables), you can order online or you can call. They’re always busy (a good sign) and still manage to get pizzas to your house in a reasonable amount of time. They are also open early on Sundays during Bears games.
By the way, I travel a lot and this is the first food I crave if I’m out of town for a while.
I’ll be a customer for life!

This store has a large neon sign that said «pizza by the slice.» I was driving by so I decided to walk in and give them a try.
Despite the large sign, they said they do not sell slices. They should either sell by the slice or get rid of the large neon sign out front.

This place is 3 mins away from our home and so after attending an exhausting wedding, we decided to order in a cheese pizza with some mozarella sticks. The pictures on Unilocal are helpful… but we really wanted NY Style pizza. so when i called and asked, we were assured that’s what they had. The menu is typical Italian pizzeria — pizzas, pastas, sandwiches.
We ordered the thin crust cheese pizza and were given a wait time of about 45 mins. Since our order came out to be more than $ 12 we also got a free 1 liter of soda. The delivery came within 25 mins, it was super-​fast! The pizza itself was delicious but i wouldn’t call it NY-​style… nonetheless it was very cheesy and very yummy. The mozarella sticks were standard. nothing special, but the sauce was delicious.
We will defo be ordering from here again soon, i want to try their veggie pan pizza and even their deep dish. I’m glad they’re so fast on delivery, but i do hope they make authentic NY style pizza.

The service is great here, no need to sit down and eat. Take the food and go, best place to get pizza out in burbs hands down…

place is 3 blocks from my house and for some reason I always forget about it when ordering a pizza. Decided to give it a shot and was very pleased. normally when I order a pizza with extra sausage you can kind of tell the amount isn’t necessarily EXTRA. but with this place if you order extra you definitely get EXTRA. have their number saved in my phone under pizza and they will now be my go to establishment for fast delivery (they said on the phone I would get my order within an hour and it was at my door in 20 minutes)…but like I said its only 3 blocks away.

It’s not the best and it’s not the worst. Perfect suburban pizza for those who are not willing to drive to the city to get that deep dish. Decent prices and okay wait for delivery. It’s very greasy and cheesy so be prepared. I recommend thin cheese pizza to start off with or a beef guardienra thin crust.

This was my first order from this pizza place, because I never heard of them until I received a coupon book. Other pizza places should learn from them.
I ordered 18 inch thin crust with mushrooms and onions it was so delicious. Before I used to order from other pizza places but nothing compares to this one

Caruso’s really good! They have pizza by the slice! Went with a Group of 3 to dine in. We got a XL pizza with green peppers and jalapeños. We called ahead and they took our order. The dine in area is small can fit up to 10 people. Along with pizza they have many different options. Their fries are good really crispy, you can get with cheese as well.

I come here for the pizza slices alone. The slices are GIGANTIC (see pics) and quite tasty. The owner is a great guy, really friendly and so are his staff as well. You won’t be disappointed stopping by for a quick bite.

Now, when a city girl comes all the way to Des Plaines to get pizza; you know you must be good! I have picked up from this place about twice and I must say its one of the best pizza places I’ve tried in Chicago. I wonder each time that I eat my slice of pizza — what do they do differently than the others? Love this place and great staff! I will def keep recommend and coming to Caruso’s!
