I have had the pleasure of eating and having a few drinks on several occasions. Weather you want to go out with your friends and watch football on TV or take your wife out for food, It’s a great place to go. Prices are great, owner is kind, staff are friendly, and the food is good!

Been here twice first time bacon was cold and not fresh. Second time ordered breakfast with sausage and they managed to over cook it from the outside and still have it pink on the inside. I’m not a fan of rare/raw pork. When I let the waitress know she said do you want me to get you some more sausage well done? As if sausage is a steak or something, lol. The omen was bad cuz they just had 2 cars in the lot on a Saturday morning, and this is a breakfast joint. Gave them 2 tries so never again, oh and almost forgot when I went to pay the manager asked how was everything? I said ok, but the sausage was raw, he said I’ll talk to the cook and offered no discount on the food. What a waist of money.

This place is pretty good for diner type food. The chicken kebob lunch special is usually very good. Watch out for the miserable female waitress with black hair. She is never pleasant

Excellent spot for American or Greek the owner is nice and often comes over to say hello. I like to have client meetings here the tables are large and it’s easy to bring my computer. It’s also close to discount tire I can get my car worked on and eat good food near by. It’s affordable and service is excellent is dinner style family place. Excellent for families and older folks and the sports bar is happening place with lots of tv screens.

My experience here wasn’t very good. I was seated by the owner ‘Jimmy’ and he just had this vibe as if he was tired, didn’t want to be there, he didn’t interact with us just kinda showed up our seats and flopped down some menus. He had a pack of cigarettes in his front pocket which was also a turn off. Our waitress was OK and by OK I mean OK. She did her job but she didn’t seem to put that extra effort in. Yes she brought our drinks and food but that was about it. Again the feeling of ‘why am I here’. The food was a 2 out of 10. Very bland. Over cooked. I gave it a 2 because well… it was food. The feeling that we got when we were here for our meal was that it was meant for an ‘older crowd’. The lightning, the décor… It just wasn’t upbeat or friendly. It kinda reminds me of a knock-off of Omega.

Owner was rude to me and to my server. Server was nice but kept checking in with me too frequently, would prefer to have time to eat in peace. Came for breakfast, ordered three eggs and hash browns. The eggs were scrambled, palatable but not great. The outer layer of hash browns were burned, they cook them way too much. I would not recommend eating here, next time I go downtown DP the Sugar Bowl is just a few blocks away and in a much better location.

I used to go here but I’ve seen the owner treat his waiters like shit, They may need to work but there is no reason to talk to them as if they are wrong. The food is very blend, I’d rather go to Omega instead of this place.

The food here is well prepared. The menu is diverse with Greek influence. The servers make you feel more comfortable than at home. Even the owner introduced himself and made me feel welcome. There’s even a bar here to enjoy sports with welcoming locals! Can’t get any better than a place like this!

Today was my first time at Jimmy’s, however we came here because my boyfriend has been here a lot over the years with his family! Sadly we were both disappointed today! Our waitress made a few mistakes and then continuously disappeared for long periods of time! We finally got our order and my boyfriends mashed potatoes were cold and his fish under cooked on one half! As an appitzer we ordered the loaded potato skins, which were horrible! I felt bad for begging for them! I had the club sandwich which was ok, nothing to rave about! We won’t be coming back!

A nice stop. We were driving by and Unilocaling for some dinner and came across this place. Gave it a try and were pleased with the quality of service, the speed and the overall experience. Good Greek diner. The bar side was pretty full w/50+ type clientele looking like they were all having a fun time. Good place with to go with kids.

I think I stumbled on this place almost by accident bc I was nearby and wanted somewhere to eat. I thought it was a flower place at first. But the food was pretty good. It has been a few years since I have been here and will definitely have to go back.

New to the area. We wandered in a group of 4. We waited a bit to be seated and got the feeling we were supposed to just know you could kind of wander to any table and it would have been fine. VERY laid back. My kids were being total monsters that evening and the waitress was very good with them. Bigger menu. Food was hit & miss. The salad that came with dinner was just sad, but the dressing was very good. Bread basket was nice touch but the bottom of my roll was wet and just tasted like it had been frozen and defrosted into a puddle. See what I mean about hit & miss? My entrée(can’t recall the name) was chicken with artichokes, olives in a lemony sauce was very good. I got the greek potatoes which had good flavor but would have been better not overcooked. Kids meal was good but could have used more sauce.(I guess I could have asked for more but I didn’t). My biggest gripe was the iced tea. I am a ice tea –aholic and the first glass was fine(although they don’t have sweet). The refill was obviously from a different batch or old pitcher. It had that old yucky taste to it. I would have gotten another but we were almost done. The jello was a BIG hit with my kids and the rice pudding was very good. I know I noted many things that were less than stellar but the overall vibe of the place, meals, price, interior just makes me a fan. It could be awesome with a little tweaking. I think this will probably be one of our once a week spots.

Somebody tell them to serve their excellent soups hot. Or at least warm. This is a consistent and easily remedied flaw. Dang, I want to like this place. They are such nice people. But the very fresh whitefish was the most boringly cooked I have ever had. It wouldn’t take much to make this place great. A little lemon, garlic, onion and oregano, please.

Nice food, quick service. Food was hot, BUTTT Minestrone soup tasted like it was out of can, and it was cold. I thought it was just me, but the guy next to me was complaining to his wife the exact same thing. I NEVER want to send it back, in case it comes back with a Sneezer. FYI: Avoid the soup, get the salad

I came here a few weeks ago for dinner with my family. My parents wanted to take us here. Since I love trying new places, I was looking forward to it. We were seated at the bar(my dad’s favorite spot to eat, so he can socialize) even though there were plenty of tables available. Since we came in the side door, I had not realized the restaurant was much bigger than just the bar area. The bar area was nice — with lots of televisions and sports murals on the walls, but the regular restaurant part was nice too. It had a cozy, family feel to it. It was also quiet, which I value since it’s very hard for me to hear in louder restaurants. The bartender/waitress(I believe her name was Gabby) was super-friendly and nice. She was also very understanding and accommodating of my food restrictions. We were served our drinks quickly(I just got water) and placed our orders not too long after. For an appetizer, my family had saganaki and they said it was amazing. I had grilled zucchini with lemon sauce. It usually comes with Parmesan cheese on top but I requested none. Usually, the grilled zucchini I’ve had at other places is breaded without a lemon sauce so this was very different. And delicious! I ate it all so quickly. Just thinking about it right now is making me hungry again… My dinner was Eggplant Parmesan on Mostaccioli(without the Parmesan). I was excited to eat this. However, when I received the dinner, I took one bite and thought the sauce tasted a little funny. It had a certain flavor in it, and was rather thick. Then I realized… meat! It was meat sauce! What?! I was so confused. Sure enough, it was indeed meat sauce — a huge error on the cook’s part. Even the bartender agreed with my logic in how absurd it was: I ordered a vegetable entrée and omitted the cheese — what were the chances I’d want meat on it?! She took it back and gave me another later with the marinara. This time, it was good. Whew. While I was there, I also met the owner, Jimmy. He is very friendly and genuinely interested in you. I also noticed that when new customers came in, he was the first person to go up to them and greet them. Very cool. I’m willing to overlook the(huge) meat sauce mistake because the staff was very friendly and apologetic about it. The entrée was never supposed to have meat sauce anyway, and the waitress/bartender gave us all free blueberry crepes as a desert, which were amazing. I just have to remember for next time to specify what kind of sauce I want(not just here, but in other places). I completely understand why my parents really like this place. If you’re looking for a good place to go that is quiet and family-oriented but also has a friendly sports bar area, this is for you.(If I could, I’d give this place 3.5 stars, but I had to round up.)

Descent breakfast joint. The food was okay, but a little too salty. The corned beef hash was extremely salty even for corned beef hash. We felt our fingers swelling up by the second. My skillet had ham, mushrooms, onions and two slices of cold processed cheese atop of hash browns — unimpressive. It was pretty quiet in there around 5p.m., which is how we like it. The place gets a whole extra star for the service. Our server Vicky was awesome! She was on top of the coffee refills and let me know the kitchen made a little boo boo on my order so she had them fix it BEFORE it came out to me. Saved me the effort of having to send it back or complain about it. I like that about her service– she was on top of everything and was friendly — not like the typical diner waitresses who barely make eye contact with you and disappear as soon as they drop of your food. Overall, it was okay food, great service(but I can only speak for Vicky), but we’ve been to much better diners in the area.
