Amazing restaurant and definetly my go-to for hispanic food! I love the fresh ingredients as well as a good variety of options on the menu. I usually get the steak tacos which as always flavorful and tasty.

Every time I have gone to eat at this restaurant, the order is messed up– regardless if I order in Spanish or English. I have even checked in with the person after taking my order to make sure everything is correct. When the food arrives, it’s always wrong.

My boyfriend and I thought we would try somewhere new to find some Mexican food, this place was okay, nothing special. The service was kind of slow for not really being that full, we were there about 6pm and were 1 of 4 tables. I had a burrito and my boyfriend had a green chile enchilada. The food was okay like I said, I can’t say we will come back though.

Traditional look, clean and cozy Mexican gem. Al pastor, asada and chorizo tacos to start… Well cooked and flavorful meat, garnished just right and complemented by a spicy red salsa. Then I order a torta de milanesa and my mind blow up! One of the best tortas from the bread to the steak, beans and melted cheese make it even better. Cain(the owner) and this pretty lady(the server) make you feel welcome and comfortable since you walk in. We’ll be one of my favorite places for Mexican traditional food.

Las Torres it’s a culinary Mexican place full of truth flavors and endemic Mexican food! I’m a chef and it’s hard to find a good place like this. It’s funny cause I started coming only for the pork torta. I was afraid to try a different item but gave it a shoot and I was amazed. I tried mostly all the menu. By the way! I come here since I was 15years old. I’m 26 now. Come and eat here you won’t regreat it! Promised!

I stopped here because I wanted tamales and after a few unsuccessful attempts at other places, they had them and I bought them all and let me tell you, I’ll definitely be back for more. The lady that greeted me was very nice and welcoming.

This place was ok, nothing spectacular. 1. The waitress brought me the wrong drink and then continued to mix them all up among our table. 2. The salsa was too hot to enjoy 3. I got steak tacos and the steak itself was flavored well, but the rest was just ok 4. The beans and rice are, for me, a staple and I «judge» how good the food is based on the beans and rice alone… they did not live up to my expectations. 5. The food was cheap though.

Great little neighborhood place! Started with great beans and salsa. Complimentary! Got a pitcher of strawberry margaritas. I thought it was a bit much, but my husband ordered anyway. Clearly not a lot of alcohol in them as we were perfectly sober! But the flavor was outstanding! Next time I will try the homemade sangria. Chili relleno was great. But too many seeds in the pepper. I had the combo platter. Taco relleno and enchilada. I would definitely get again. I forgot. The best part. The chorizofundido. Awesome!!!

Excellent service. A group of friends and I visited about 40 minutes before closing time and while we weren’t rowdy, we were a bit tipsy from a few pool games over at Lee Street Sports Bar. The waitress was very nice, the service was quick, and the food was delicious. Their salsa with beans is a new favorite of mine. Definitely would visit again.

Las Torres is a great authentic family restaurant tucked away in Des Plains. I recently ventured up to the city for dinner with some friends after hearing great things about their food here. The food was outstanding, the margaritas were fresh(no bottle mix) and the staff was great. Certainly worth the trip from the city for a great meal! I’ll be back!

The quesadillas appeared smaller than average and the rice vegetable mix was just nasty. Aside from that this is a nice looking taco joint next to a billiard place in a strip mall in Des Plaines. There is some seating for a small place and the food is reasonably priced.

Great homemade mexican food. Get over the décor and enjoy anything on the menu. The salsa has a great authentic dark smoky flavor. Not for the faint of heart. It’s hot! Their beans they serve with the chips are out of this world. Wonderful light beans in sauce with bacon in it. How can you go wrong there. The fish tacos has filets of tilapia in them. No batter, pure fish! Unbelievable!!! You have to try the sangria! It’s out of this world. They float red wine over lime and orange juice and throw in a shot of vodka. Delicious Cain,. one of they owners comes out to say hi to all. A definite go to place and very reasonably priced.

Nasty… I ordered a steak burrito from here the other day and I had to spit out at least 10 fatty non-edible chunks of meat. I tried them several months ago and food was just decent and thought that I would give them another shot and wish I didn’t. Stay away.

This place is hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had. Tried their tortas and they tasted absolutely amazing! The bread with every bite goes perfectly well that I had to order again the next time. The third time I tried the spicy grilled shrimp and I was more than satisfied with the kick it had to it. And can’t forget the margaritas!!! Order a strawberry frozen pitcher every time. I could be selfish and hog this place all to myself, but this place is the best Mexican restaurant and if you don’t try it. you are definitely missing out. Alma(waitress) is so nice and accommodating and gives such great service. Definitely a great place to kick back and relax after a difficult day at work. I can’t wait to try everything from the menu!

If you can get past the run down facility, this place makes the best chicken fajitas I think I’ve ever had in my life, and I love chicken fajitas, had them all over Texas and Chicago. Decent specials, fantastic«Drunken beans» that come to the table when you sit down with you chips and sauce. Try a spoonful of the beans on a chip, truly amazing. A little run down, maybe, but the chicken fajitas and frijoles baracho are off the hook good! Plus it’s very affordable.

Family owned and operated, friendly service, authentic, delicious salsas, including frijoles charros, plus they’re flexible with any special requests. Best choice in the area for Mexican food.

Great food, but torn on where to rate them. ;-) We tried a coupon to find a place we hadn’t yet tried in town. Las Torres sounded good, so we gave it a shot. We came in and the server was very friendly, giving us a table by the window. This would be a great seat, but there was no glass over the cloth as on all the other tables, and the soft fabric would have made it hard to eat /move plates — plus I’d have made a mess, for sure. We switched to another table, and that seemed fine. Our server spoke almost no English, but did her best to help us place our order. My wife had the tostadas, and I tried the Sopes with Carne Asada. Both were excellent, especially the Sopes! The meat was wonderfully seasoned, and piled high with all the fixings. These are some of the best I’ve had in the area! This was a full meal, and the price was good as well, even without the certificate. The décor is nice and comfortable. The place is on the small side, but plenty of room for small groups or families. It looks like they have a bar for Margarita’s, if you so choose, though we didn’t try them. We did try the Horchata, however. This is another excellent creation of theirs, and is one of the better drinks I’ve had in the area. When it was time to pay the bill, our server had no idea what to do with the certificate, so went to find someone. The chef came out and said he didn’t know what to do with it either, and that the owner was not in the building. With neither the chef nor server speaking almost any English, and neither knowing what to do with the certificate, this was a challenging position for us. I asked him if he wanted to write it down and he said ‘no’, and he told us to simply adjust the bill per the value. Under hindsight, it would have been better if we had a chance to print the certificate so they could at least have it on hand for when the owner returned. I’ll probably stop by in the next couple of days to see if it all went through OK, which given that they didn’t have a number, did not. :( The good: Excellent food! My wife loved the Tostada, and I enjoyed one of the best Sope’s in a long time! Horchata all around next time as well. The not so good: There is almost no English spoken even during meal time. We were the only non-Hispanic folks in the place — actually a good sign the food is decent — and we don’t speak much Spanish to help out. If you bring a coupon, be sure it is printed in case the staff doesn’t know what to do with it. Except for this, it would have been a 5 star visit.

The food is good but the 5 stars is for their sopes. Crispy and fresh. The crunch on the outside and the softness on the inside is just perfect. Best sopes I’ve ever had! Note: I’ve always ate this in the restaurant so I’m not sure how awesome it would taste to-go. I would think it wouldn’t be bad if you live close.
