We just had our private wedding reception upstairs and this place exceeded my expectations! The staff and owners were wonderful. From the set up they did, to the service and food, everything was on point. All I heard was how wonderful the food was. We did a buffet style dinner and it was PERFECT! I have a lot of guests that said they will be back for dinner. You all made our night and I cannot thank everyone enough that was involved! I will highly recommend you for lunch, dinner, and events! Thank You, Thank You this was a night I will never forget!

The crushed dead rat in the parking lot should have been the first signed to go somewhere else. We were the first people in the restaurant and placed our order right away as it is a simple straight forward menu which I think is a plus. Somehow the next 6 people behind us were all eating well before us and we didn’t get an apology or explanation. Ordered the crab cake burger, fish basket, bric chicken sandwich, chicken strip basket and corn dog. The crab cake said pan seared and I assumed it would be fresh but it certainly looked pre-made and tasted frozen and was not pan seared. Maybe microwaved. It also came with about 10 fries. The chicken sandwich was a run of the mill chicken sandwich. Chicken fil a does em better for a third the price. Corn dog was a corn dog. The chicken strip basket was good but it’s hard to mess up frozen then deep fried chicken strips. The fish basket was pretty good but the big problem with everything was, they brought out the chicken strips and corn dog. 5 minutes later came the sandwiches then 5 minutes after that came the fish basket. No explanation. After being mostly unsatisfied with the food I asked for the check and waited 10 minutes while the waiter cleared other guests tables of dirty dishes. All in all its just run of the mill food at a borderline unreasonable price and while the server wasn’t outright rude, customer service seemed to be out of his wheelhouse.

Ok there are two reviews here. The first is from my 9yo son, as follows: Great place! They have samples, the service is awesome, and they have live music! My chicken was awesome! It had tender chicken, a big serving of mashed potatoes, about 15 sweet potato fries, and and a biscuit! I think every meal has the main dish and three extra sides. Worth trying for tourism or just a local meal. It’s family and beach friendly and is very decorative, overall very good place! Now for my review: It was excellent. Had the chicken — huge portions and quite tasty. Would describe as tropical but not sweet — so «brightly» flavored? My daughter had the ground beef stuffed peppers and liked it. Service was exemplary. Very approachable staff and extremely attentive. Where do you get that in Destin? Plus $ 2 drafts for happy hour and we were out for $ 50 before tip for 3 of us. Cannot recommend this place enough based on this first(and only, so far) experience. Also live music Thursday to Saturday nights.

During a recent trip to Destin with some friends, we dropped by Bric a Brac for dinner one night due to a craving for seafood. I’ve never been to Destin before so I wasn’t sure what to expect(i.e. if the restaurants would all be «tourist traps») but I was very pleasantly surprised by Bric a Brac. We started off with an appetizer of the smoked tuna, which was great. The tuna meat was made into a dip and served with chips, and was pretty hefty for an appetizer — 3 guys were able to split it. The tuna had a great smoky flavor to it which I liked. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened grouper and loved it! The fish was seasoned perfectly and cooked so well that it flaked apart when I touched it with my fork. It was served atop a potato coquette which was absolutely delicious. The entrée came with sweet potato fries, a bread roll, and a salad as well, so it even though it was about $ 25 it was a lot of food for the money. My friends both got the mahi-mahi and I tried a little bit of it — it was good, but we all agreed the grouper was better. OVERALL: 4⁄5 — great and fresh seafood, good portions, and fast service. If I come back to Destin again in the future I would definitely return here!

Great food. Stuffed peppers are my wife’s favorite. Pork was really good as well. House dressing is great. I had the jambalaya is was a great mix of chicken, shrimp, and sausage mixed into a penne pasta.

To bad we stopped in for dessert and did not get to experience the Full«Bric a Brac». Full stars for the atmosphere, music, Bric a Brac, and dessert! Staff very personable. If we didn’t have plans we would swing in for dinner. Goodness from Siri, asked where they served strawberry shortcake in Destin, Bric a Brac was first on the list! Just had their 2 year anniversary at this location, you may notice Happy Birthday, Congrats, and other festive balloons all around. A quick walk through the restaurant will overpower the senses with trinkets/bobbles, nic-nacks, etc.

We went there on a Sunday night, which wasn’t too busy. Eclectic atmosphere. Super food! Their chicken with potatoes was excellent, and so were the stuffed peppers. We will come back, especially for their music nights. Great service, sweet find!

I was a little skeptical about this place but it totally exceeded my expectations! It has a very quirky décor and a small menu but don’t let that fool you. What they do make, they make well! I had pork tenderloin and it was phenomenal, my husband had chicken with capers, also amazing. Finished the meal with the strawberry shortcake concoction, it was fantastic! Don’t overlook this place, it’s worth a try!

From the guys who brought you Piccolo — The Red Bar, in Grayton Beach. And from the family who gave you Louie Louie on 98. Brings you this place, Bric-a-Brac. The clam and shrimp chowder, homemade, was as good as it gets. The grouper which was blackened with a mashed potato croquette and spinach was a very nice dish. The bread pudding with caramel sauce was very nice fitting to a fun meal. Rudy was full of energy and knows the restaurant business. I’ve eaten at every restaurant in Destin numerous times. These guys will be on my list. If you’re staying on Holiday Isle, you’ll pass right by it. Tell him Joey said hello.

I really wanted to like Bric a Brac, the atmosphere is fun and the food was decent but the service was just, «blah.» My fiancé and I came here to get some yummy seafood on a Sunday. They were only serving brunch but that was OK because there were several fish dishes on the menu. Our server led us to our table with nary a «hello» and took our drink orders. And then we started waiting. I watched our server stare at the football game on TV while our beers sat on the bar. And then we waited for our food — Grouper fingers and fries for me and Mahi Mahi for the fiancé — which was good but took entirely too long to come out of the kitchen. We had to flag our server down for refills, honey mustard, and our bill because he just couldn’t tear himself away from the game(and I’m a huge football fan!) There are better places in Destin with much better service than this!

Went here for brunch with my fiancé yesterday after a morning of outlet shopping. First the good. The food is pretty tasty. She got the fish and chips and I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich. We also got a couple of beers. Now the bad. To call the service slow would be an understatment. It took a very long time to get our meal, as good as it was. Our server seemed more interested in the football game than in his tables. He passed our table several times not noticing the empty drinks in front of us. The décor is also very confusing. It seems like they just went to thrift shops and stuck what they bought on the walls. Apparently they also have salsa dancing at night. I’ll take their word for it as we do not plan on coming back.

Seriously, wtf. Maybe just an off night for them, but this place was very strange. And their crab cakes are terrible.

Our Destin trip was coming to a close. We stopped for lunch near our Airbnb check-in location. They were open relatively early, so we ventured inside. It was dark, like a bar, which made me notice the full bar in the dim light. Brunch drink specials were available but we opted out: it had been an alcohol packed weekend so I needed a break. Otherwise, $ 11.99 bottomless mimosas did sound pretty tempting. I ordered a crab cake sandwich, after much deliberation, per the server recommendation. I loved the crab cake: moist and crabby. Our server talked us into getting all three desserts that he recommended: the key lime pie, the strawberry shortcake and the bread pudding. I love bread pudding so I couldn’t resist. My friend claimed the key lime pie wasn’t tart enough for her, which is true, but I preferred it that way; I usually don’t enjoy key lime pie when it’s too tart. The bread pudding was sweet and chewy, almost overly so. My friend who ordered the shortcake claims it was the best of the three desserts. The meal was a bittersweet end to our beach trip. An average meal, which only got better because of the people I ate with.
