Damiano The Tuscan Chef

What a unique and delicious experience this is! I hired chef Damiano to do a private dinner for my Family that was coming to Destin. It was more than I could have imagined! We chose the 4 course meal. Which started out with a fabulous salad! Then Chef Damiano went on to serve a polenta dish with sausage and Gorgonzola It just kept getting better and better. It ended with his Famous Tiramisu which was Amazing. My Family loved it. And he also made pizza for the kids! Would highly recommend him to anyone wanting a fabulous meal and just want to relax and visit with family (: Thanks Chef!

We have now used Damiano twice and it’s become a tradition for our group of 14. Put the kids down to bed and enjoy a gourmet dinner with Chef Damiano who not only cook an amazing meal but set the table, serve and clean up the place while we enjoy a great evening.

My goodness… There’s just not enough characters to describe how incredible Chef Damiano is! And let’s not forget his awesome team, wife Monica and son Claudio. They showed up at our beach house rental armed with all the essentials you would see at a 5-​star restaurant, and that is EXACTLY the experience they provided us. While our party of approximately 10 people were upstairs getting dressed for an elegant evening, the aroma of Tuscan cuisine found its way to our rooms and teased us of what was to come. Upon our descent, we were cordially greeted by the entire team in professional chef attire and seated at an immaculately decorated table with beautiful linen, table settings, and lit candles. Again… 5-​star experience! Out comes each course, brought out with amazing service. Did I mention, we had 5 courses?! The main feature… Perfectly prepared filet mignon and sweet lobster tail. Impeccable! The meal was concluded with an amazingly tasty lemon tart-​like dessert made by the legend himself. And to top it all off, as we all waddled to the living room singing their praises… this incredible trio cleaned the kitchen as if nothing even happened. They actually left the kitchen in better shape than it was before they got there. Lol! I can’t say enough about how awesome Chef Damiano, Monica, and Claudio are. The sweetest and most talented people you will ever meet. If you’re hosting an event and need superb service and food that will have your guests giving a standing ovation, look no further than The Tuscan Chef! Heck, give yourself the night off and have him cook for you and your honey for a romantic evening in… Or maybe just for you. It’s definitely worth it!

Wow. Just wow.
I was in Destin on vacation recently with my family and thought I would surprise them with a home cooked meal from a local chef. After a little research, I found Chef Damiano’s website and thought I would shoot him an email on the off-​chance that he would have availability on such short notice. He had a recent cancellation and was able to fit us in! We exchanged a few emails to discuss food allergies and any extreme likes/​dislikes and I decided I would leave all of the menu planning to him. He’s the expert! I could not have been happier with the meal he prepared.
We started with an appetizer of puffed pastry on a bed of arugula that was stuffed with little shrimp and asparagus in a really light, delicious sauce. The portion was large and hardly felt like an appetizer. Delicious!
He followed up with a pasta course of risotto. Apparently it’s one of his specialties, and I can see why! Ours had butternut squash, Italian sausage with shaved parmesan and a magic drizzle of balsamic that just made everyone so happy. At this point, I was starting to get full.
The entrée was the most incredible filet mignon over porcini mushrooms with a blue cheese sauce. My fella was so excited to see steak! I am not sure what he thought an authentic Italian meal would consist of, but this was no spaghetti buffet. He prepared the steak to our liking.
For dessert, not that any of us had room, but Chef Damiano prepared torte della nona… grandmother’s cake. There were really delicate layers of dough stuffed with a lemon pastry cream with pistachios (I think!) on top. It was out of this world. I tried to get the recipe from him, but he said he promised his nona not to share it. So sweet.
All in all, I would heartily recommend The Tuscan Chef. He was easy to work with, produced beautiful, delicious food and my kids really thought it was fun to hear his Italian accent. If his wife is with him, you’ll get to hear them speak Italian to each other. So fun! They also shared a lot of stories about Italy. It was truly a magical evening. My kids haven’t stopped talking about that night. Priceless!

We had the pleasure of having an event catered by Damiano the Tuscan chef. Great Italian flavors, presentation and all. It certainly helps that he is an authentic Italian that brings new inspiration to the usual Italian dishes.

I have had the great pleasure of experiencing Chef Damiano’s satisfying, mouth watering masterpieces! He brings Italy closer to home with his authentic italian dishes right down to his true authentic accent! His cooking classes are visually entertaining and it was a joy watching him at his craft and learning a new dish to share with my family. So whether you’re wanting to brush up on your cooking skills or give your friends something to rave about at your next dinner party you can’t go wrong with Damiano!
