Excellent great service what more could you ask for on the water. Prices reasonable on the dock outside inside seating. Everyone enjoyed there meals.

Very impressed with this American-style fish & sushi restaurant on the water. I love that from the outside the restaurant looks very unassuming like a hole in the wall shack(which adds to the mystique). But once inside, it has a very classy but yet also very homey feel with its wood décor. And indoor seating overlooking the water adds much to this ambience as well. The food tasted high-quality & was delicious: the crispy tuna sushi hand roll, the blackened grouper & the blackened red snapper — both deliciously juicy & tender & milky. The signature cocktail menu could use a boost, but at least they have a full bar.

I have eaten at this restaurant frequently(with the exception of during the tourist season) for a few years. Many of the restaurants in the Destin area are the same: fried food, perhaps accompanied by a good view and high prices. Harbor Docks supplies a number of local restaurants with their seafood. Anyone with an urge to smell fish can check out the odors of the fish coming in by taking a walk underneath the restaurant if you happen to hit it at the right time. It will make one realize that this is a real seafood restaurant with smelly fish that have not been frozen. This restaurant has very good grilled fish. I normally go at lunch and the fish varies from day to day depending on what has been caught. Today, we had black grouper. I like the cole slaw(mayonnaise based so not to the liking of some who may prefer vinegar based slaw) with the grouper. The hushpuppies are also very good and worth getting with your meal. Servings for dinner are larger and more expensive. The restaurant is not pretentious. In warmer weather with highway 98 crammed with traffic, I will drive a small boat along the bay and into the harbor and park at the dock. The ride is pleasant and the traffic is less irritating. Today, we sat in the bar where a fire was in the stove and the weather outside was cold(cool for those who live in cold climates). The service was very good. Kudos to Monica and Karen who always make eating here a good experience. Those who like to eat outside in warmer weather can dine on the outer deck. A lot of locals like to eat inside with a view of the Destin harbor. One oddity about the restaurant: the Pad Thai and the sushi are outstanding. This is a seafood restaurant with reasonable prices, particularly at lunch. I have trouble choosing between the latest seafood or the Pad Thai and sushi. Today, we opted for black group and took home two orders of sushi to eat at dinner. The problem was resolved. I confess that I enjoy the restaurant with its pictures of fishing pictures, old reels and fishing lures, and a large sailfish hanging near the inner dining room. The pictures used to feature prominent Democrats, apparently the preferred political choice of the owner, and we used to laugh at choosing which ones were sidelined by the latest political scandal. My favorite was John Edwards – having gone to college in North Carolina where he become very wealthy suing anyone with money. I much prefer the fishing pictures while enjoying grilled snapper, grouper, or pompano. A number of local business people frequent the restaurant as well as many tourists. More enjoyable than many of the tourist traps that are omnipresent along the Emerald Coast with better food, lower prices and outstanding Pad Thai and sushi(only served on certain days). Service can be slow on the busiest days. The servers seem to have a system where they may work in all sections at the same time. But, chill out and enjoy the unpretentious ambiance and enjoy your time at the beach. The food is worth the wait.

I ordered the sushi, and it was decent(nothing exceptional). My husband ordered the triggerfish and it was great!

I’m not sure what happened to this place. The quality of the food really declined. Even so, I still find some of the menu items to be consistently good. What I can’t forgive is lack of cleanliness. Harbor Docks, PLEASE clean your restaurant! It smells bad, tables and chairs are filthy and there are flies all over the deck. This can not be blamed on the proximity to the water. The other restaurants on he row are not like this.

I ate here and got food poisoning. It was awful. The service was awful and so was their food. The sushi I ordered had old avocado and the fish was super fishy and smelly and very rubbery. Looked and tasted like old raw fish. Never coming here. First and last time.

We came all the way from San Diego California for great food, warm staff and a beautiful view. The blackened Grouper is the best dish on earth! And the house salad is so refreshing with toasted almonds and mandarin oranges. Love this place and have for 30 years!

Fresh seafood right on the harbor is bliss. This place nailed it! A little slower wait than normal but still delicious!

This is one of my very favorite restaurants in Destin. Their fresh seafood and sushi are delicious. They also have a full bar and the bar tenders know their craft. I was with a group of 7 and everyone ordered something different. Everyone’s food looked great. I had the ahi tuna sashimi and a Zoo roll. Be prepared for a wait. The place is popular but you can have a cocktail while you wait. You can also choose indoor our outdoor dining. I suggest you choose the outdoor and have a beautiful view while you enjoy your meal.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I grew up coming here for vacation and now I’m considered a «local» and this place has always been my «go to» restaurant. I love that they have an Asian flair. It’s different than your typical seafood beach place. It has great seafood as well, but when you want something a little different but still have that beach vibe. This is the place for you!

Long wait for food, but it’s a holiday. Our server was nice and we got full accommodations for our large party of 12. I liked the mimosa but not the portion size. A nice buzz before the crab-cakes Benedict. The hollandaise sauce wasn’t thick enough and it looked too much like egg yolks and not the distinct light yellow color. The wait for food was long around 40 minutes. The atmosphere is great with the dock and boats in the background. I would come back for the tuna dip. The smoked yellowfin tuna is some much better than any I’ve ever made. Yummy!

We found a hair in our sushi! This was recommended to my family by the concierge at our hotel. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! The blackened snapper was far too salty and the other members of my party noticed that there were extras that were included on the bill that were not mentioned by the waiter or on the menu. On top of that the service was horrendous! Our waiter played this disappearing act, we didn’t see her for 15 – 30 minutes at a time! Also, we found a hair in our sushi and rather than taking away the entire plate she took the individual piece and 20 minutes later she thankfully came back with a completely new place. However, that plate was not compensated, which is not entirely material to me but is polite, nor did the manger come over to check on us after the incident. I would never visit this place ever again!

The sushi I tried here was good, despite the majority of it being California style with cream cheese. The ones we ordered were light on the cream cheese and I don’t think any had mayo, which is a huge plus in my book. The mandatory valet parking here is ridiculous. If you don’t want to valet, you can park across the busy busy street. Maybe on a Friday evening and the lot was overflowing, this place would need valet to avoid crossing the street. On a Monday night, nothing but a nusiance, and moronic considering you just parked my car literally ten feet away. Is there a white table cloth, with a server in a tuxedo, and men must wear jackets? No? My server is wearing cargo shorts, I’m wearing flip-flops and ordering $ 10 sushi rolls. I think I can park my own car tonight, thanks. Service was poor. Server stood behind us waiting for us to finish last bite so he could take plates. We brought our own cake for my aunt’s birthday. Server dropped handful of spoons in middle of an already crowded table, which annoyed me even further after the ironic mandatory valet. Checks passed out was an awkward moment, don’t know how else to describe it. Regardless, food wasn’t bad.

I have breakfast here a lot. It’s a beautiful view of the harbor and I see Dolphins every time I go. I usually get the Fisherman’s special which is two eggs, bacon or sausage or conecuh sausage, hash browns or grits and a big biscuit. Comes with coffee. I’ve also had the biscuits and gravy which is very good and the breakfast quesadilla. My friend had the crab cake Benedict and did not like it. The biscuits are awesome! It’s a little«rustic» but a charming local place. The owners do a thanksgiving dinner for donations to habitat for humanity every year.

I’ve been to harbor docks in the past, so I remember that the food was delicious. We had the tuna dip and the sauteed amberjack with mashed potatoes. This time around the food was still very good, however they were lacking in the service department. First off, You have to park across the busy street, in a parking garage behind a building if you’re not valet parking in front of the restaurant, which hasn’t been the case in the past. After we ordered our food, The waiter didn’t remember what we were asking for(forgot to bring us more than a couple of things) and just didn’t really seem to be paying attention in general. He also charged me for a beer that he forgot to bring me, which was the ultimate annoying thing he could have done after bad service all night. Overall the food was very delicious, but service very sub-par.

Stopped in on national margarita day — had a great margarita. Grabbed a sushi roll which was only OK. I’ll definitely give it another shot, but I’ll try the regular menu.

We stopped here for breakfast one morning — a very simple menu with a beautiful view! This is a great place to grab some grub in the morning — it’s not super packed and you get awesome portions for the value. Can’t wait to try Harbor Docks for dinner! My one complaint about their breakfast(I got the breakfast sandwich) — the bread was huge and kind of soggy.
