«Smokin’ Vapor» is an absolutely terrible name for a vape shop. The goal is to get people to realize that vaping is NOT smoking. Period. This shop doesn’t seem to care about that. After reading other reviews, it’s clear they don’t exactly value their clientele either.

@Nick I was there on the date the review was posted. I felt so strongly about my experience I posted almost immediately. Sunday. The staff that was working that day was most definitely not knowledgable about anything more advanced than starter kits and premixed juices that were horrible. The waffle flavor I bought tasted more like cleaning supplies than ejuice. Hopefully this was just a random poor experience but poor none the less.

I’m from out of state, ran out of e-liquid, map said this was the closest vape store to where I was staying, checked the review and it sounded like this was an okay shop. Their selection was a good size, however to try any you were using a little starter stick. No power, everything pretty much tasted the same. Asked for my favorite and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. He didn’t look like he really knew much about vaping to begin with. They allegidly mix their own, however they couldn’t go to 4mg nic. Price was a little more than I expected. After getting the wrong size the first time and the right 30 seconds later, which convinced me that they are not mixing themselves, I got out of there. My juice has almost no flavor at all. I will go without before I return to this shop.

I don’t get it. With the rise of vaping and folks kicking the habit of regular cigs, I would expect a vape shop to embrace this new and positive experience with a little warmth and community. To me, vaping has become a sense of family and belonging… everyone having a oneness in this vape purpose. I did frequent this shop for my initial starter kit and I had returned for juice, but I guess I’m just missing the sense of true vape decorum. Here’s why: 1. Discounts. They do not offer a military discount… that is their choice, however, the other 4 vape shops I now frequent, offer a discount. 2. Loyalty Program. There isn’t a loyalty program(I had referred gobs of people… crickets…) I have enjoyed generous loyalty«points» with their competitors to include occasional goodies and«vape bucks» to spend in the store. There is nothing wrong with a win-win for everyone. 3. Nic Juice. One is limited to sampling TWO nic juices. I guess if within the two juices nothing pleases me, I’m SOL. Oh, the sign on the wall reminds me that I am limited to TWO samplings. Nothing like community. Every other vape shop has great set ups for their customers to enjoy the juice and therefore, I can make a sound decision what I want. I normally spend my money where I feel like I am comfortable… and welcomed. Smokin’ Vapor’s competitors encourage me to enjoy the surroundings… taste their array of juices, and talk to the staff about vape news and/or questions. I asked a question about their PG/VG mix and was told that info was confidential! Really? I prefer a higher VG mix, but got the impression they thought I was fishing for their«secret formula.» Unreal. This is a standard question and their competitors gladly let me know which juices they sell that have a higher VG blend and even the PG/VG makeup of their juices. Overall, their juice is average and the selection is limited. Judging from what I have tasted, I believe their blend is a 50⁄50 or even a 60÷40−70÷30PG/VG. 3. Customer service. Anyone can just sell stuff and give a thank you. The folks at Smokin’ Vapor are polite folks. They have sold me stuff and said thank you. The folks at their competitor’s store sell me stuff and say thank you, too. But they know my name… and they recognize me when I walk in the store… and they give me a shout out for folks that I send to them… and I send a ton of people their way. Vape Community. On a side note, my fiancé stopped in to Smokin’ Vapor, on a whim, to ask a question about his rebuildable. One person in the store knew what to do and my fiancé had to wait for two people ahead of him to get the answers he needed. Shoutout to Austin… the youngest kid on the block who knew his stuff. 4. Product. This encompasses not only having product in stock, but a wide variety of products… their products are decent and pretty much self-serve. I’m a little perplexed why they guard the sampling of juices but have thousands of dollars of inventory at your fingertips. Perhaps if one knows their need, they can just come in, get what they want, and keep it moving. I appreciate Smokin’ Vapor for selling me my starter kit initially, but I have since moved on. I just get the impression that it’s just a business to them, they’re a little anal about stuff they shouldn’t be worried about, and that the love for a true vape community is not something that is at the top of their list.
