Scott and his staff were great when we experienced unexpected car problems on our vacation. They even picked me up at my rental unit when the car was ready. Very honest and had my car ready quickly so we could continue and enjoy our vacation.

First time taking my car to Tuffy Auto Service in Destin Florida. I moved to the area a year ago and wanted to find a reliable auto repair shop close by. I am very picky about car service and always watch the mechanic like a hawk. My experience was very favorable. I called and made an appointment to have my catalytic converter replaced. Arrived as expected and the service manager was very professional. He explained the process and estimate to me and allowed me to inspect the underside of my car. He introduced me to the mechanic and the mechanic was very knowledgeable and courteous. He also explained the work he planned to do for me. The mechanic called my attention to a problem as soon as he encountered it and we discussed what would be the best plan of action. He worked hard (harder than most) to save the downpipe flange and the expense of purchasing a new one and installing it. Completed the replacement and changed the oil and had me out the door in the time that was expected. The mechanic also invited me out to inspect his work each time he accomplished a major task.
Good, old school repair shop. Professional folks who know what they are doing and don’t charge you an arm and a leg. I think I found the reliable auto repair shop I was looking for and will definitely go them next time I need auto service. They respected me and my concerns and made me feel good about the work they did for me.

This location provides great service. I needed an exhaust system for my SUV. They had to order the parts because parts from the local Chrysler dealership were very expensive. Parts came when promised.
Because of car problems, I was not able to get back to Tuffy immediately when the parts arrived. I explained the problem and asked them to hold the parts. The did.
On the day that I took the car in for my appointment. I had just a very short wait before they got me in for the work. After a few minutes, the manager came to see me to indicate that they had a received a dynaflow muffler (louder than standard) and asked if I was OK with that or did I want it sent back. I asked how loud they thought it would be. After their explanation, I was Ok with it because my vehicle has a hemi engine.
When completed, they asked me to come outside to listen to see if I was satisfied. I thought this was very nice since I had authorized the work.
Great team here from the guy who took my order, to the manager, to the tech who actually serviced my vehicle. I will go back here again if I need service while in Destin.

I’d recommend that you do NOT come here for auto repair or service! Today I had an appt to get my exhaust system looked at. I came 30 minutes before my appt, dropped it off then went to kill sometime by getting some lunch. When I looked in to see if my car was being looked at yet at the time it should have been done, it was still sitting on the parking lot. I just asked for my keys and told the guy at the counter that I was leaving because (their 45 minute quote to inspect it) there was over an hour and a half and nothing was done yet. Oh and I never got an apology or explanation, so I will take my business elsewhere.

We had the best experience here today. We drove in at the very end of the day with a hole in our tire. They were very friendly and immediately repaired our tire in a few minutes and got us on our way. This ended our day on a very good note when it very easily could have been otherwise. Thank you!

Was recommended by some local friends for a nail in my tire. Turned out, they pulled out a screw but it didn’t puncture the tire itself. Took about 15 minutes of their time and they didn’t charge me. Very nice people and honest. I place a high price on honesty and they certainly earned my business in the future.

Do not go there!!! Pulled in with brake noise… they raised the hood and starting pulling out the air filter! I was a GM at a new car dealer for 10 years. This place has commission written all over it! Stay away nice greeter but the Sharks were circling in no time. Beware!!! Beware! I guess since I did not have the work done they took their own sweet time to put it all back together…

I am from out of town and this is the BEST car repair shop I know. They are knowledgable, efficient, and charge reasonable prices. I bring my cars here for routine maintenance while on vacation. My cars are in great shape thanks to Tuffy.

These guys were awesome! We are here from out of town and got a nail in the tire. The manager fixed it for free! Goodyear down the street told us we needed a new tire.

Myself and my softball teams had a flat tire and need to get it plugged… Douglas did it super fast and was extremely cool !! Thanks Tuff you are the best!!!

This place is wonderful! We are from St. Louis had our escalade looked at right away. Josh was a great guy who was fast and honest! Definitely use this place if needed.

The check engine light on my car came on and I was extremely concerned about continuing to drive without get it checked. I was easily able to get in for service, the quote for the repair was very reasonable, and the work was done quickly too. Overall, I am very happy with my Tuffy’s Service.

During our family vacation over Labor Day weekend this year, our car broke down. We are from Texas, and had no idea what service station to use in that area. We were able to get our vehicle to Tuffys. In addition to getting our parts quickly and getting our repair done, they gave us a car to use while our repairs were being performed. We were very happy with this experience.

I had a nail in my tire last weekend. They simply pulled it out and put in a plug. The charge? $ 30!!! What a complete and utter rip-​off!!!

This place should be called «Shadys» or «Scammys» because they are shady and love runnin a scam on customers. They attempted to rip me off for an A/​C repair. They did NOT fix my AC but charged me anyway, and refused to refund me when I came back complaining. When I came back to complain they threw out a hilarious estimate (almost $ 2000!!! LOL) to properly fix it. I had to dispute the charge on my card with my credit union, which involved me having to go to a REPUTABLE shop (Firestone in Fort Walton) and get a real estimate which turned out to actually only be about a $ 200 fix, not $ 2,000…which is about ¹⁄₃ of the value of my car. My bank got my money back from these crooks, thank God. I am disgusted by this type of blatant scammery. These people are shameful and disgusting.

They tried to rip off us because we were out of town. Only thing Wong with our Pontiac GTP was the small 90 degree coolient elbows. Tuffy wanted to pull the intake manifold, change oil and belts, etc. none of which was necessary. There are YouTube videos that show you don’t need to pull the intake manifold to fix this simple problem. I had AAA tow u to a reputable shop Playground auto in FT Walton. They new exactly what to do. Replace the elbows and full the anti-​freeze. I will never use a Tuffy shop in the future.

Took my car three times for the same problem. The last time I said no and took it back. I ordered the parts online (quoted $ 499, cost me online $ 105). Fixed the main problem in 20 minutes thanks to YOUTUBE. They are criminal for what they are doing. I spent $ 1800 the first two times I took my car there for them to fix things that weren’t bad.

Took my car in to get an estimate on AC repair. First noticed how clean and maintained the shop area and office was. The assistant manager, Kendall, was very informative on the process on the process of how they would test my AC system to pinpoint the problem as well as pricing for labor. After the work was completed, the mechanic explained to me what the problem was, how he solved it, and what to do if the problem wasn’t solved. Great service, knowledgeable staff, reasonable pricing and a well kept shop. I’ll be returning here whenever I need vehicle maintenance.

Took my car to fix the check engine light. They told me what I needed to fix plus suggested a bunch of add ons. Got an estimate for the work and called other shops and found out that they were charging twice as much as much as other places.
