Highly enjoy this place, bar food gets the job done and they are friendly. Good price, great location, can’t go wrong

I run in here somewhat often for a carry out of food while I’m drinking at a nearby establishment. The menu has the typical bar fare… burgers, salads, fried items. I’ve ordered their saganaki, sausage, chicken tenders, salads, and they’ve all been fine. Once, I ordered fried shrimp and had to take it back because they shrimp was not de-veined and it looked disgusting. The service has been decent. I’ve not had to wait too long for my carry-out orders. Props to them for carrying a hard-to-find beer, «Not Your Father’s Root Bear». It’s usually packed on home game nights(any Detroit sport) and they run a shuttle to and from games.

We are from out of town. We were trying to find some Detroit charm and stumbled upon this great place! It is for sure an «everybody knows your name» bar! We walked in and sat ourself, the wait staff addressed us immediately! A must try is their Cheese and Broccoli bites!!! The Detroitier burger: perfectly melted cheese with ham, bacon and a made to order patty… Still licking our figures. I got the fish and chip(fries), a little greasy but not fishy which was a big plus! We would come back, no doubt!

In town for a convention June 2015, ate dinner here two nights in a row. Great food for a bar. The burgers were amazing. Drinks were priced just right. Service was great.

Was in town for an event and ended up here a few times. Great dive bar, friendly service. Food was ok, nothing great. Come for the drinks and atmosphere, not the food.

Used a Groupon for carryout, and their service was quick. 2 chicken tender orders and a side of jalapeño poppers for $ 20 — not bad at all. The food was your average bar food — nothing too crazy. Beer and liquor deals are worth the trip, and they offer a shuttle to the Tigers Stadium on game days. Great atmosphere, walking distance to other Greektown or Bricktown bars.

I am not much of a bar type of girl, but I am a food and fun type of girl, who needs alcohol when you can eat a burger and fries :) The food was just okay, a solid«C» my burger was just average, typical bar food that probably taste much better if you are drunk. The fries was a «C» as well. I have made a better burger and fries at home. Although, I was not wowed by the food the party atmosphere was great, nice place to hangout but not to eat.

I have been here a handful of times. It’s a great spot to drop in if your in the area for an event like Saint Andrews or something. I wouldn’t necessarily make a special trip here but I think it’s probably the best beer– shot bar in the area. I think I had a burger once and remember it being pretty good too

Great Bar. Fun Bartenders. Awesome Owners. Spectacular Drink Prices. Free Trivia Tuesdays. This is an older bar in Detroit, but still a good one. No, you won’t get the glitz and glam here, but you’re still guaranteed to have just as good of a time. The bartender, Kris, is great, super friendly and the patrons seem to all be nice and have«respect» for the aging bar and the staff. This is a great spot for bar food and beer with a group of friends after work or to come in and watch a game. They also have patio seating so great for day drinking on a warm summer day :) An added plus is come on Tuesday’s. From 7 – 9 they have FREE trivia to win gift cards and food and drink specials. The owners are great people as well. This is an all around great establishment!

Nice little dive bar with pretty good service. Drinks were reasonably priced. No frills but who needs frills? We didn’t eat food but just hung out for awhile.

A solid spot to check out if you’re waiting to get into Andrew’s. Friendly bartenders, trivia Tuesdays and they pour a good drink. No frills just a solid Detroit atmosphere.

This is a good sports bar atmosphere if you are looking for place to have a drink and watch the game downtown. It is also good to stop before sporting events, since they offer a shuttle from the bar to games. They have good bar food, and have been known to have one of the better burgers downtown. Even better, you can get a burger, fries and a small draft beer on special anytime. It’s a good deal. The ownership has changed in the last year, but the Detroiter Bar has remained the same.

This used to be our favorite spot to catch a burger and a few beers before or after a game. However we do not come here anymore. The shuttle is always convenient and fun when hitting Red Wings games. We typically would just walk to Tigers games from here if the weather is nice. The food is decent bar food. They have a veggie burger, so that’s a plus. The regular burgers always get good reviews from my husband and our friends. However, the beer here is disappointing. The last 3 – 4 times we have been here the beers on tap that we know and love at other restaurants tasted horrible here. We’re assuming it’s because they don’t clean the taps and lines much or maybe the beer is just stale. I don’t know. Either way, this place is no longer on our pre-game list of spots to go to.

Best burger in Detroit! House special burger, beer, and fries! These are the best deal for $ 8.95 ! Quick, polite staff! TV’s around the bar. Easy location. Off People Mover Bricktown exit!

So if you have been wondering where to find the happy bartenders, this is the place. Shot for shot the girls here are on point and ready to go after a good game. You know what I’m saying? But seriously though, the drinks are cheap and the pickles are good. In addition this area is convenient to the arenas and hotels. I have to say the only downside is that their menu is in comic sans. Take it seriously though.

Has lunch here today with a colleague. Menu ha changed in such a short while for now they serve fried food and burgers. It is a good place if that is what you are looking for bit if you are searching for variety this is not the place. Place was not very busy but it was clean as far as bars go. Service was very good for they were right on too of drink order food order and checking to make sure everything was okay. Overall the experience was good. Be aware you may want to be a hockey fan for they have nhl network on all TV’s. Did not ask to change for is was the afternoon and nothing pressing that would have cared to watch. They do what they do well and have good selection of beer and a full bar.

The Detroiter is a solid go-to spot, walking the line between sports bar and dive. It’s small enough to be intimate but large enough that you won’t have to fight for a seat. Good beer specials, decent prices all around. The bartenders are a bunch of hipster girls, if you’re into that. Their menu is typical grilled/fried bar food, but it’s all done quite well. They’re rumored to have one of the best burgers in town, but that’s one item I’ve somehow never tried. I’ve never had a bad time here, but there’s nothing so special about it that I go out of my way. Just a decent, stand-by bar that’s in a great location, and always there if you need a fall back place to hang.

Maybe the best place to meet friends before a Red Wing game. Get there 1 ½ before to get a table as it fills up fast. Detroiter house special is great for $ 9.45.

While visiting Detroit, the weather was perfect, so we walked all around the downtown area. We saw the GM building, Greektown, and the Comerica stadium. When we were sufficiently worn out, we decided to hit up the Detroiter Bar. I had a Sam Adam’s seasonal beer. It was light and refreshing, after having walked for hours. We needed food, so we split two chili cheese coneys, which were $ 4.95. I am not a huge fan of coneys, but they are a Detroit specialty. I did enjoy it, though! The bartender was very friendly. My friend ordered a cocktail and she was very free in pouring the liquor. This was actually my second time visiting this place.

No bells and whistles here. Decent place to watch sports and can definitely provide a fun atmosphere. Not a whole lot of capacity here. I’d say if 50 people are in the place, it’s going to feel pretty crowded. If it’s nice out, they have a good amount of outdoor seating. The beer seemed reasonably priced(for pitchers of Miller Lite anyway). It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten here, so I’ll avoid giving any remarks about the food. I’d say it’s probably fairly reasonably priced and standard, greasy pub fare. The bathroom situation leaves a lot to be desired. I’ll leave it at that. Overall, it’s probably a place you’d come by to check out, grab a beer or two, maybe some food, and then move on to something else. Can’t really picture spending an entire evening here.
