I am not able to go to this restaurant as often as I’d like to — if it was closer to home I would DEFINITELY be a [ more frequent ] regular customer ! Not only is the food great — and I have tried MOST of the menu(pork chops, lamb chops, steaks, burgers, ham, chicken, beef tips, ribs, meat loaf, etc. etc.; American dining and«soul» /southern food) BUT the people are wonderful too — warm, friendly, courteous, helpful and just generally nice people ! In addition the establishment is a family-owned and run business;(as I understand it) most of the people working there are family, are related ! It does my heart good to see an American family business doing well — God Bless them and their wonderful restaurant !

Amazing is the word that describes the food here. I truly enjoyed the turkey chops, Mac n cheese, and greens. The service was excellent. I will be utilizing them for my catering needs. I will continue to support this business whenever I am in the area.

This restaurant definitely has potential, but I did not like it that you can’t sample the soups. The owner does not allow that. How will you know what the soup taste like, if you don’t try it? The restaurant needs some updating/renovation. There were dead flies in the window sill. It was very hot that day, so I had to go to back of the diner where there was air condition. The front had an industrial fan, which just blew out more hot air. The server was really good. As for the food, I had hot water cornbread, cool-aid, short ribs, candy yams, greens, and mashed potatoes. The short were very tender and flavorful. The greens could use a little more seasoning. The yams were good. The mashed potatoes were good as long as you dressed it with brown gravy, which was good. The server was very nice. The second time I went and used my groupon coupon. I had the smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes(w/gravy…PLEASE), and dressing. The pork chops were tasty(not as tender as the short ribs of beef, though). The dressing was OK. They were a little heavy on the sage. Also, the same dead flies were still in the window sill, cause I went to the back of the diner again. The back of the diner is a little more inviting than the front to me, more natural lighting and not as dark. I watch alot of food shows i.e. Bar Rescue, Kitchen Nightmares, and Restaurant Impossible. Enjoy Again can definitely do a better job — renovation and cleanliness! I’m routing for this restaurant, because I do notice that the parking lot(especially on Sundays) is generally packed.

I was going out with my church family and they suggested we go to Enjoy Again, a restaurant that used to be located on E. Jefferson. They had good food then and guess what? Nothing has changed. The soul food there was amazing and I had French Toast and Chicken… Good food… Our server, Nicki, was great and handled our party of 16 like a pro… She was personable and would ask for her again if and when I go back… which leads to my complaint. I was checking out, had a question about my bill, and the young ‘lady’ at the register was very rude, stating that ‘Dis lady don’t understand her bill… Ya’ll need to come out and explain this… I ain’t got time for this…’ To the point that it may me think about returning… if it was not for Nicki, coming out and talking to me appropriately… I would not come back ever, even if the food was good… it left a very bad taste in my mouth… I hope they do not tip share… So, yes the food was good, the service at the table was great, but the checkout… Maybe they need to put that ‘lady’ on washing dishes… She could mess up a lot of business for the owners of Enjoy Again.

This is the perfect breakfast dive! Came here with on a whim with my hubby for Sunday morning breakfast and was so satisfied. We both kept it pretty simple, waffle, eggs, grits and bacon but my goodness is was the best waffle, eggs, grits and bacon that we both have had in a while. Cleaned our plates! The kitchen was slow but the food made up for it. We will definitely be back.

Delicious. And family friendly. I went because it was damn cold but I wanted someone else to make breakfast for my clan, and they were close. It is seat yourself, the wait staff is efficient and friendly without being overbearing, and the food was… yesssss. There were a lot of families that came in other than my own with young kids who were loud. It absolutely did not phase me-my two year old is also rambunctious(to put it mildly) in public-but the couple who didn’t have children with them seemed annoyed. Or amused. Or both. What really did it for me was the Motown music that kept me and my family singing and amused while waiting on the food. Warning… there is a wait. But the amibiance more than makes up for it. I will be back. A lot.

Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Everything seems to be fresh and no problem cooking things to order. Basically a Coney Island but more soul food on the menu then most of the other coneys. It’s a 5 star coney

Service was not the best. Building could use some cleaning and a few updates. I ordered fried chicken which was ok. Macaroni and cheese was orange and bland. Kids chicken tenders and fries were terrible. The chicken tenders were simply overcooked Tyson tenders. Also tried the mashed potatoes which were bland. This is not what I call soul food. Don’t waste your money.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday after Christmas with my parents. After we ordered our food, we were told they were out of greens. We changed our side dish order. Then the waitress came back a few minutes later and told us they were out of corn. We changed our side orders. When the meals were brought out we did not have any sides. When this was going on, there was a larger group helped by another waitress in the other dining area which received their meals with the same side dishes we ordered. After 5 minutes the waitress brought our sides, but did not bring the sides for one of my parents. We asked the waitress where were his sides and she said they were on the way. We waited another 5 minutes and still nothing. Now we are the only people in the front dining area. Finally we asked another waitress for help. She said she would look into it. We waited some more time, until we said we’ll take them to go. I’m not sure what was going on, but the service was very bad. The food we ordered was good — pork chop, salmon croquets, and fried fish, not getting the sides gave us a bad experience. Maybe the place is only good for carryout.

I took a chance and purchased the Groupon for this restaurant. Boy, am I glad I did. After speeding past the restaurant, I am glad I found it. The location and the parking is not the greatest(e.g small parking lot and located in construction zone at 8 mile and telegraph) but don’t let that stop you from going in. I purchased two dinners as I had to spend the entire amount of the Groupon so don’t judge me as I didn’t eat everything in one sitting.(LOL) The Tilapia was good but I don’t think I would get it again. The Pork Chops were crispy and amazing. The sides(e.g sting beans, macaroni and cheese, dressing) were excellent, and unfortunately the bread was so good I did eat both pieces. OH, I forgot to mention the piece of cake. MMMMM Buy the Groupon, or just go and try the restaurant. The food and service is worth the trip and inconvenience of the construction zone.

Maybe I went on an off day but even with the groupon I was unimpressed. My smothered turkey chops was bland. The pepper and onions wasn’t cooked enough. My boyfriend had fish and he was equally disappoint with food. The service is good and employees are nice. I had such high hopes and really wanted to support this place but I can’t motivate myself to go back.

What can I say? Enjoy Again’s staff is FRIENDLY. We were there when what I presume is the owner’s family was having a birthday party. Members of the family(who all work there) kept leaving their celebration to grab waters for us, or to refill our waters, or to offer us a cupcake(I took this as hospitality and nothing else). The food was awesome. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I ordered fried pork chops with mac and cheese and greens, while Mike had a half rack of ribs, and ended up with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy. I say that because Mike ordered mac and cheese, and attempted to order two other sides only to have the server come back from the kitchen to report they were out. Actually, they were out of a lot of stuff. BUT that is my ONLY complaint. That mac and cheese is straight witchcraft, it was so good. The food was so good. Granted, it was guilt-inducing gut busting meal, but everything was really good, and the staff certainly were hospitable. We were treated like family!

«Enjoy Again» has a great atmosphere,(Music, People). They have Great Veggie Burgers and they make you feel right at home. This is a Must Try place. Nice place to have a quick meeting and a bite to eat! 2 thumbs up it is a place to «ENJOYAGAIN» as they say.
