I got Front Point when I bought my first home in 2013 and have been very satisfied with them this far. I went with them because of the positive reviews I read online and the convenience of being able to install the wireless system myself. The first contact was great as the sales person was very helpful and insistent on only selling me what I needed. Very helpful and knowledgable of the product and able to fully answer all my questions as this was the first alarm system I ever looked into purchasing. The system arrived quickly and only took be about an hour to install and activate the whole thing. It’s really an easy system to get used to as even though I’m quite tech, my room-mate is not and he has no issues with it. The few times I’ve had to contact technical service and customer service have been good experiences compared to most company’s these days. They’re prompt and helpful. I had a garage sensor go out due to the very cold weather we had that winter(apparently they had a known battery issue) not that big of deal tho they knew exactly what the problem was and over-nighted me new batteries and extra ones for back up in case it happened again. My only complaints would be: 1. that the control panel isn’t quite loud enough. I’ve accidentally set the alarm off entering my detached garage not realizing my room-mate set the alarm and it went off with him sleeping and he didn’t even hear it go off despite his room being on the next floor with his door open. I also had a friend stay over one night and they didn’t realize I had an alarm and set if off when they went out to their car. I never heard it go off while I slept. 2. No outside siren to alert neighbors of a break in. 3. More of a deterrent than a reliant as I’ve had the alarm go off as stated above and the police apparently came to the house, looked for any signs of a break in and left without any further investigating. Luckily it was a false alarm. 4. Cellular service could potentially be hacked with a no service device but I doubt the typical street punk/criminal would go to those lengths to break into middle income residential homes. Phone app is super convenient. Happy customer over all.

This company is a scam. They cost way too much and don’t bother to tell clients that the Detroit police don’t even respond when you have a security system that sends out an alarm. The wiring on the system did not work and the technical support folks didn’t know what they were talking about. Very disappointing.

Send used touchpad that did not work properly. No after hours support. Sensors not working on garage doors. System keeps changing names of sensors. Why would you waste $ 2,000 on a system with no installation support. Over six hours and still can’t get the system to work right. Absolute junk. I can get a system at Menards for $ 30 that works better than this. Go with ADT or someone with better equipment. This GE touch pad looks like a 1980’s piece of junk video game with two buttons.
