I went here to find some ceramic tiles to use for a craft project. Someone had told me that they go them at Habitat Restore in Ann Arbor. Since this place was bigger, I figured they would have something equivalent. And they did! Yay! However, the image near the tiles showed that all tiles of a particular size were a particular price, when I went up to the register, they charged me more! SO I ended up not getting them. A waste of a trip. But asides from this price mishap, a lot of the things seem just as expensive as some other large retail stores. And most of these are used or irregular things! In fact as I was walking out, some guy mentioned that as well. Just what I was thinking. For some basic things like nails and paint brushes, paint rollers, tiles and paints, it is a good place to get them. But when getting larger things such as toilets, sinks, fridges what have you, just go get ‘em some place else. The employees were not rude, but they were very curt. It’s not a very well managed? store? I didn’t feel like I could ask any employee anything… In fact there were several customers who were there who asked me stuff. I guess me and my grumpy self(it was a bad day) looked friendlier than the employees did! Oh and the cart I had was rickety. AnnOYING! Anyways, I’d probably still go back since it’s non-profit and all that hooplah, but I don’t necessarily recommend it. I plan to visit the Ann Arbor one soon. Hope it’s better!
