always the best from pauls, I“ve been eating here since I was a kid and I will continue to eat here until the day I die. I cant say good enough things about their food, I moved out of southwest and I still make the drive down atleast once a week to get their food!

I’ve had better. If i wasn’t as hungry as I was, I would have probably complained to the boyfriend.
Here’s the problem. We didn’t order pizza. LOL. It’s a pizzeria.
My BFF used to work here for years and the food was always good since he was the cook. (He made the best Jumbo Hot wings and Chicken Bacon Burger for me)
But i didn’t want to take off my PJ’s or leave the house and i did not want Pizza. So i ordered from Paul’s for the first time in about 7 years since they had online ordering and the Steak Sub sounded really good. So we ordered two whole Steak and Cheese Subs Deluxe. It took over an hour for the status to even say it was being delivered (I was hungry, so I watched the status on the computer like a hawk) The actual delivery part was quick.
We got the food and the portion of fries was small, the meat ratio was small, and the actual texture of the meat was not that of Steak… more like ground beef, like a really low grade, cheap steak like product.
Never mind that, the food was still hot, the taste was more or less ok, the oil and vinegar mix was good and added flavor to the toasted bread and I ate the whole sandwich.
Would I order from Paul’s again?
Probably.
Would I order the steak and Cheese sub?
Probably NOT.

I spoke with a tony when placing my order over the phone and he was incredibly helpful and even ran out to my car when I forgot something. Very good pizza too! Totally recommend them

Paul’s Pizza is a staple in the Springwells area of Southwest Detroit. The food is delicious, the staff couldn’t be more wonderful, and the owners are constantly giving back to the community. My favorites? Their turkey sub, Thai chicken salad, and, of course, their three cheese bread! Though I typically order out, they also have an adorable lunch counter where you can enjoy your pizza and some fine people watching along Vernor.

Long standing Pizzeria in Southwest Detroit near Central and Vernor. Awesome pizza, awesome prices, bilingual, but one area suffers greatly and that is ORDER ACCURACY. By all means buy pizza here, it rules, but I desperately urge you to get the guy on the other end of the phone or counter to repeat your order back to you. Nearly every time I place an order that isn’t pepperoni and cheese or cheese alone, my order suffers greatly. So heed my advice, get them to repeat your order back to you otherwise you’re going to get annoyed. Great pizza though! ³⁄₅ stars. Coulda been 5/​5, but order accuracy is very important to me in a business. It is, afterall, what you’re spending your money on.
