Whether you are a resident of Detroit or just visiting, Sheila’s is definitely worth visiting on a weekend if you are looking for a snack. A wide variety and assortment of freshly baked cakes and pastries, the bakery is owned by friendly staff who are always willing to provide for your needs. Whether it be authentic churros or colorfully decorated cookies, the snacks are very good and affordable as well.
I love stopping by here to pick up cakes for group gatherings. A tres leches comes to about $ 23 and is definitely one of the best I’ve personally had.

I ordered my preteen daughter cakes from here, and let *TEEN* be the key word (very picky and hard to please) but Shelia’s hasn’t let us down! What’s even more impressive is she found her ideal cake on Pinterest so I was a little hesitant that they wouldn’t be able to match her standards, but after showing them a picture they were able to do it even at an AMAZING price!
Over all thoughts: Amazing prices, fantastic tasting cakes, and fast service.

The BEST bakery in Southwest! I have tried a bunch. For my wedding we got two cakes– one from here and another from somewhere else. Let’s just say that this one got eaten super fast and everyone was raving about it. It was beautifully decorated and tasted fantastic. Their prices are reasonable and the smell when you walk in will intoxicate you! Their flan is the best I’ve ever had and has turned flan haters into lovers. You gotta try this place!

Stopped in and grabbed a delicious Pastel de Tres leches to take for Easter dinner with my family. It was delicious and everyone raved about it!

Their Churros are to die for.
So sweet, cinnamonie and crunchy. Absolutely delicious.
I also picked up a few other treats which I really didnt know what they were. I just picked up anything that I thought looked good.
There was a small personal cake that kinda looked like a hostess chocolate cupcake. It was filled with jelly and cream. This was really good.
I also believe I picked up a chocoflan cake, and a croissant filled with a flan custard. Both had good flavors.
It was crowded on a Friday afternoon so I really couldnt see what all they had to offer. If youre not very familiar with Mexican desserts like I am then I recommend you to go at a time when it is not that busy.
My total came to $ 8.75 which to me was a steal since I had quite a few treats.
There’s also a taco truck in the parking lot.
Hopefully the next time I return (which I definitely will be) I will have the time to pick a better selection of treats.

My eyes are in delicousness overload. I’m still reeling from the visual experience. Honestly!
The moment you walk into this panderia the cake cooler screams look at me. These magnificent creations are just dripping in temptation and loveliness. See the pix.
Around the corner is a cooler full of individual servings of cakes, drinks and other sweet concoctions.
Then further on are the typical mexican cookies, povorones, conchas, empanadas, jelly rolls, cannoli’s and breads.
This is a very busy place on saturday afternoon. Some first time customers like me, others picking up their special order cakes.
But what I didn’t see was evidence of pizza. So I’m not certain of the pizzeria part of the name.
There is a sister store located in Pontiac. I have it on my «to do» list.

This place is NOT a joke.
My trainer told me that they have amazing tres leche cake, along with other goodies.
I was NOT disappointed. I got a large tres leche cake with whole strawberries on top with strawberry filling, and it was delicious.
So glad I made the trip to stop here. I will be back again to try more!
