It isn’t like I had a tremendous set of expectations when eating at the MGM Detroit food court, but most of the ones I did have managed to disappoint. To start the person in front of me in line wanted to substitute onion rings for his fries. He was informed that substitutions couldn’t be made in the computer, so he couldn’t be accommodated. C’mon MGM, empower your employees to make decisions to improve customer satisfaction. Next, after I had ordered and was waiting for my food I was asked if I wanted ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. After I answer, I watched the employee slowly count the number of packets he gave me. C’mon MGM management, stop forcing your employees to ration condiments. The food, a double cheeseburger and fries, was actually significantly better than I expected. Alas, for the stated reasons, and a few others I am just shaking my head over the management of this food court can not allow me to give it more than a single star.

you know… for a cafeteria style restaurant, this place is actually pretty good. The line is long, and yes it’s pretty expensive, but for the month of August… all the food at the Breeze is 50% off! :) Otherwise, i wouldn’t pay full price for this stuff. …the burgers are juicy, and they are cut into triangles(?) i know.weird. but hey it’s pretty good! The bread is soft, the pickles are not dill but the bread & butter flavor… delish! AND they do NOT skimp on the fries… when you get fries($ 4 for seasoned fries .you’re going to pay more for cheese/chili ect) … you get an entire styrofoam tray of fries. :) :) :) :) I got the black angus beef burger with carmalized onions(+$ 1.00), lettuce tomatos and onions and season fries. and i was STUFFED. i barley touched my fries! the burger filled me UP. If the line is way too long at Palette… I highly suggest Relish at Breeze.

I’ll dock a star, just because I hate waiting in line for so long. Really, when you visit the Breeze Food Court, you’re going to wait. I’ve never paid for a meal at MGM Grand, because their players reward club is pretty great. Play around an hour, and you can get a meal comp. For awhile, I was a «Crunch» girl. I didn’t care to try anything else. However, after hearing my parents rave about how good the Turkey burgers were, and trying some of their yummy pickles, I decided to see for myself. And it was worth it. Now, usually if you get a meal comp, you get $ 12 to spend at one Breeze location. This can be enough to feed two people if you spend wisely. If you get two meal comps, you can definitely feed 3 or more people. So I got a turkey burger, with bacon, fries and a drink. If I hadn’t been starving, there would be no way I could finish it. So if you’re going to MGM Grand and the players club line isn’t ridiculously long, nor are the lines at Breeze, I recommend getting some grub at this place. Even if you have to pay for it out of pocket, it’s worth your money.
