Olive Garden has better tiramisu and the server made numerous errors. The food was average, for the prices on the menu, I would have hoped for better. We have eaten at the steakhouse several times. We had a few starters, mussels with chorizo which seemed to be missing chorizo, and bruchette which may have been the best part of the meal! The bread served was cold and the salads we had before dinner were just ok. Dinner was the same, I ordered scallops which they were out of so I asked for Salmon done«scallop style» because I wanted the sides it was supposed to come with. The server forgot my request of no asparagus and the kitchen forgot the mushrooms that were listed on the menu. The desserts were disappointing and seemed to have been pre-made. The ice cream must be pre-scooped. Didn’t seem worth the price.

Cigarette smoke is a constant companion in this restaurant. I had the KC ribeye, mashed potatoes and lettuce wedge. The barrel aged old fashioned was a very nice cocktail. The ribeye was among the most tender I’ve ever had. Service was fine but not spectacular. Dessert, an apple pastry, was nothing special. I would have gone 4 stars but you will go home smelling like cigarettes after a meal here.

They were soooo kind to find our drink in-house. I can’t say enough about the appetizers. Thank you so much for an out-of– this– world experience! AC/DC Apple crown and diet coke(credit Ron Stevens and Eric Simmons) try it! You won’t be sorry.

The atmosphere is great here. Very relaxed and on the quiet side despite the casino being right outside its doors. You won’t find screaming toddlers in this restaurant because to get to it you have to walk through the casino and no one under 21 is allowed. I had the Pearfect Martini which was very sweet and delicious. We shared a margarita pizza in lew of an appetizer and after trying it I wished I would have ordered a whole one for myself as main dish. The crust was nice and crispy and the cheese and tomato sauce tasted extremely fresh. I had the four cheese ravioli for my main dish and it was good but not the most amazing ravioli I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was a bit on the salty side. The desserts here are amazing. We got the crème brule cheesecake with blackberries and the cookie plate and this is the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten. It was light and fluffy and the burnt sugar crust on top was fabulous. Would definitely go back for the pizza and desserts!

Originally I booked my best friend’s bachelorette dinner at Ignite Sushi in MGM but they ended up booking a private event for that evening over our reservations. I was very upset that we had to change the original plans but a group event manager at MGM went above and beyond to accommodate us at Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina. When we arrived they immediately provided complimentary appetizers and champagne. They even comped our desserts. The food was incredible and I will absolutely be back. The staff there was also very attentive and accommodating. It was an even better experience then originally planned. Thank you to everyone at MGM that made our evening fabulous!!!

Half our group ordered from the regular menu and the other half ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. We were all very pleased with our food and service. The drinks were awesome and so was the food. There wasn’t a long wait for drinks, appetizers or entrees When it arrived, the presentation was beautiful and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered the ricotta fritters which were a little creamier than I expected but that’s just me. It was still tasty. My 2nd course was the salmon with lemon risotto which was great and the 3rd course was a ricotta cheesecake which was spectacular. I will definitely return.

Ok we are all not the same. Some of us eat to live and then some of us live to eat! I guess if I had to pick one, it would be the latter. So you may want to look at this posting as a person that is always looking for the next great meal. Sometimes you think you know what to expect when you go to a restaurant after dinning there off and on for over six years. Right? Wrong! Now I’m not a gambler at least not with casinos betting in the traditional view. But I like to try out all the dinning establishments big and small. Last night(Thursday) my friend Gianni and I hit it big at Wolfgang Pucks inside MGM. It wasn’t just the food it was the exceptional service, an adventure in new tastes. An education in food, wine, whiskey and a mind changing desserts. Hats off to the big three, Julie our wait person(I can make things happen) Shaun the wine god, son of Bacchus, and the master of meats(steaks mostly) Mr. Zac Gallo the Manager of the great talent. Now to the meal or the fest, shrimp scampi pan seared scallops on bed of risotto, which we washed it all down with a wonderful adventurous bottle for Sicily 2009 Ripassa Valpolicella Then a scrumptious Basil Sorbet yea that’s right BASIL!!! You don’t Sorbet until you try this. Yea I asked for the recipe and I’m going to make for my friends and family. All in all one of the best over dinning experience in the city.

We were able to get a last minute reservation for 6 people on Saturday night at a prime time, so that made our restaurant decision for us. When we arrived, we were seated right away, which was nice. For this review, I have a list of the pros and cons: Pros: 1. capability of making online reservations. Too many restaurants these days don’t take reservations, which is really inconvenient – particularly since we were dining with parents who have young kids at home, so babysitting arrangements needed to be made ahead of time. 2. Parking – restaurant is inside the casino, so we didn’t have to worry about finding an open lot or walking very far. 3. Delicious salads. All of the salads were yummy and pretty large. 4. Super fast food – our entrees arrived very quickly. Cons: 1. Service. The waiter tried to convince me to get several things that I didn’t want. I knew exactly what looked good to me but he kept adding things to my order and I kept having to say«no – I don’t want that.» It was kind of strange. The food came quickly but then we were barely attended to. My water glass sat empty for a solid 20 minutes and I didn’t see our waiter anywhere to request more. Then the waiter kept trying to sell us more bottles of wine – even though we all still had full glasses. They were also clumsy – the staff around us kept knocking things over, dropping items, etc. It made me feel like I had to keep an eye out for potentially flying objects! 2. Seating was not comfortable at all – the chairs were like cheap and hard chairs you would expect at some Applebee’s or Olive Garden type place(no offense to those restaurants but with the higher price point, I expect a bit more luxury.). 3. Very limited menu. In fact, I ended up ordering the salad and a side for my dinner because nothing looked very appealing. 4. HOLYSALTLICK! Lay off the salt please! Or, make sure to keep that water flowing(see #1). 5. Price. Way way overpriced for what you get. My husband had 2 glasses of wine, salad, and pizza. I had water, a salad and a side. That’s it. Our bill was $ 125. What a waste. 6. Being located inside the casino, you have to walk through the smoky casino floor. We wanted to sit and gamble for a bit but couldn’t stand how gross and smoky it was, so we opted to leave and go somewhere else for dessert. To summarize, if you have any other option, take it. With so many great restaurants around Detroit, I feel ripped off with this one.

If I could give it a zero I would. The prices, service and food were horrid. Our waiter was absolutely brutal. I never had worse mussels. My bill was $ 160 including tip for two. I felt like I lost at the blackjack table after this disaster.

I wish I would’ve taken pics of this place because man it is beautiful! Came here during restaurant week & absolutely loved my meal. The bread was delicious as were the two sauces it came with(one was olive oil, not sure about the other). I started off with the ricotta gnocchi which was good but not impressive. My entrée on the other hand was amazing! I had the flank steak with potato purée & corn, it was cooked perfectly! My bf had the chicken parm which I didn’t try but it looked great! I took a star off because our server was too busy for us, he checked on us once the whole meal & was unapologetic. Thank God for another employee there(Mensa?) he picked up our servers slack & made our experience still enjoyable. Def recommend for a date night, it has a romantic feel.

This place is DELICIOUS! Expensive, but delicious! We went out for a friend’s birthday, and we were all impressed. I think we all had a mini-heartattack when our checks came, but you get what you pay for. I had THE best fettuccine alfredo, and the cheesecake??? Omg, don’t even get me started. If you can afford the splurge, do it! Worth every delicious penny. (I ordered the fettuccine alfredo, two glasses of wine, and mine & my friend’s dessert, and it came to around $ 60)

I was staying in the MGM Grand for a week and first give it a try because all of the other restaurants were packed. I wasn’t in the mood for pizza so I tried the ribeye steak. Easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world. A few nights later I returned with colleges and this time thought I’d give the pizza I’ll try. I should have stuck with the steak. The edge crust and toppings were okay, but it was the mushy just thin crust pizza I’ve ever eaten. I prefer a crispy crust and the only thing crispy was the edges. Service and I’ll be on’s were very good but I would expect a bit more pizza quality from a place called pizzeria.

We wanted a quick bite while visiting the MGM casino. This really suited. As usual, we sat at the bar where we were served by Nicki. She offered a taste of Pinot Grigio which I quite enjoyed so I ordered a glass. We ordered pizzas(delicious) and a salad. The complimentary bread was wonderful. Good-sized menu — not so big that you wonder what they are good at but large enough to please most. Neat lighting. I would visit again.

This is the place to eat while you are at the MGM in a Detroit! We ordered the margarita pizza, which was awesome. I would have liked a crispier crust, but I can’t complain too much. It was tasty! Our server Liz was cool and friendly. My hubs is a bit of a jokester, so they had silly banter back and forth which is always funny to hear. She brought us the bread bowl and some oil for dipping… and omg that onion facossia(I can’t spell it, but you know what I’m talking about) was the bomb! Seriously, I could have eaten only that for dinner. I can only explain it as a bread with chunks of sweet vadalia onion on top, dipped in chicken soup. Imagine it. That’s exactly what it tasted like. It was like crack bread. I was instantly addicted… so addicted that we had to go back the next day and order more :) Go here to eat. Eat the bread. If you are there with other people, know that they give you half a bowl of this amazing heaven on Earth bread, and the other half is blah bread, so make sure you hoard the oniony goodness onto your bread plate before the others even know what’s going on. Just my tip to you. You will thank me later. :)

Boy what an interesting night here. I was at MGM losing some money and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. I really enjoyed our Unilocal event here and since there were plenty of seats at the bar, I decided to eat here. The server is the same one from the Unilocal event and was pleasant. The couple next to me were dressed up and rambled on and on about their favorite servers at MGM and then their conversation turned about how some people don’t tip… blah blah blah. I was enjoying my beet salad, which is really good stuff, and a pasta carbonara which is fair, and a house wine. Since it was approaching 11:00(closing time) I asked for a carry out box. I had comps for the meal and charged the wine. I jokingly asked if I had to tip on the comp amount. She knew I was kidding and the couple looked at me and the lady made the standard snobby sigh noise and started mumbling something. I told her I was joking and that had met the bartender at our Unilocal party a few months back. Her comment was perfect — «You are one of those people». Her sour puss in tact. She followed up with something like«All you people do is ruin restaurants and write negative things». I gave up listening at one point. After she stopped talking, I tried explaining to her that being mean isn’t the purpose of Unilocal while in my head thinking«god I’m gad I am not married to a person like her». Everything I said fell on deaf ears. I left 15 on 50. I gave the place 4 stars and had this lady not been such a pain in the ass, I might have given the additional star.

After having an amazing experience at a recent Unilocal event, the husband and I decided to try Wolfgang Puck’s Pizzeria on our own. We should have turned around when we were one of two tables in the restaurant at 8pm on a Friday. The casino was bopping and Ol Pucky’s was empty. I was immediately disappointed when the wonderful apps we tried at the Unilocal event were not on menu. For an app, the husband and I agreed on the calamari. For $ 15 we received a tiny plate of a few quality squid. For the main course I ordered the mushroom, goat cheese and arugula pizza. Even though the mushrooms were very fresh and plentiful, it took the kitchen 3x to remake my pizza with the actual ingredients listed on the menu. My husband was done with his meal 20 minutes before I received mine. The manager and server apologized, but didn’t take it off bill. For $ 75, I would have rather eaten at the food court and blown the rest in a slot machine. I will not be returning to Ol Puckys.

I went her for a Unilocal event & had small plates of their best appetizers and sipped on their signature drinks This is a restaurant that has thought out everything from the ambiance to each drink and each menu item. All three components are perfectly complimentary. There is an upscale steak house side and a more casual pizzeria. And menu items reflect this. Their bruschetta was amazing but the steak tartare definitely stole the show! It’s a must. The service is helpful, friendly, and welcoming. I can’t wait for Restaurant Week to get a full meal on my teacher budget ;)

–Closed on Monday and Tuesday, open at 5pm the rest of the week –Must be 21+ to enter This restaurant is located inside MGM Casino next to the Wolfgang Puck Steakhouse. We came here on a Thursday night and it wasn’t very busy at all. The restaurant is modern and very nicely decorated. The hostess sat us right away in a huge comfy booth by the door. The waitress was very nice and helpful. My vegetarian friend made a special request to put together a vegetarian dish and the chef was very accommodating. She loved her meal as so did I. The menu had a lot of options including pizzas(duh), soup, salads, calamari, ravioli, fettuccine, ricotta gnocchi, chicken, rigatoni, salmon, scallops, pork chop, steak and sides. A bread basket promptly arrived after our order was taken. There were 2 different types of bread with a side of oil and garlic paste for dipping. SAUTEEDDIVERSCALLOPS — $ 35 — Comes with celery root purée, fall greens and cider reduction. OMG… this was amazing! The 4 huge scallops were perfectly cooked and the sauce/purée/reduction was just taste buds blowing. It complimented the scallops so well and everything was just delicious together. The only bad thing about this place is leaving smelling like smoke because of the casino.

My first time at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant and I must say– it’s what everyone has raved about. We came for dinner with a couple of my friends to celebrate. Service: our waiter was nice… When he came around? It took us forever to order our food and had to hunt him down to get our bill. But he did convince us to get dessert– which was def worth every bite. Food: Amazing and plenty of it! We started off with Calamari and Arugula & Radicchio Salad. Both were delicious. I really liked the Basil Pesto sauce for the calamari. As for food– I tried the Garlic Chicken Penne Pasta. They provide such a large dish. I was only able to finish half but enjoyed every bite. Very filling and a great taste to it. The other girls tried a couple other dishes and they enjoyed it too. Side dishes: Crisp Tuscan potatoes & Polenta. Both were very tasty. Dessert: soufflé(perfect!!) Overall, it was a great experience and great atmosphere. Prices were not bad at all. I definitely will come back.

We came here for restaurant week and had an excellent, excellent meal! First, we had a server who was very friendly and attentive, and knowledgable about the course offerings. All of the food we had was delicious! To start, they broad out some bread that had huge chunks of onion in it – the only thing that could have made it better would be if it had been warmed up. I started with the ricotta gnocchi, which was great, and then we had flat iron steak and grilled atlantic salmon. Both were very well cooked, and came with large portions! The lemon panna cotta dessert was a great finish!
